Hey Pete , you say it 4th deadliest, but boy I've looked into this and I say it goes 1 Inland Taipan Oxyuranus Microlepidotus, 2nd Easretn Brown PseudonajaTextillis , 3 Western Desert Taipan Oxyuranus Temporalis 4 Coastal Taipan Oxyuranus Scutellatus, and 5th Tiger snake Notechis Sculatus, 6 Southern/Common Death Adder Acanthophis Antarcticus , it's a very subjective topic I was being flippant , love it bro , and what a ripper you have there , mad colours cheers

The WA Tiger snakes I have seen are dark black with very defined yellow belly and stripes. Can be very aggresive around breeding season, I have had one flatten out its hood and chase me when I stumbled upon it near a river.

Nearly stepped right on one of these a while ago. The only thing that saved me was seeing the bright yellow on its belly, otherwise it was among some rocks right near my boot and I would not have seen it till it was too late. Amazing how much their colour varies!

@@CrittaCam at my bush block in the Mallee we have very relaxed strap snouted browns . Casual as. Stunning bands . I have footage following one around. The locals called them bandy bandy browns, almost like the coral snake. I could summon one up by idling my tractor very slow , generally with in half hr it would casually turn up. In my home area of Adelaide hills it's the respect to the 6ft old red belly , and the fact it goes fishing. See mt Barker courier article . Copper heads are a concern hanging from trees in bushland or pine trees. I would love a feature on Murray basin snakes . Lake Alexandrina was full of different varieties and sub strains . But most of all that blue tiger was majestic . I hadn't seen one since mid 80s as a teen at goyders reserve Mylor sth Australia. They are left over from the ice age according to the museum. Thankyou

Gday champion, I'm from SW Vic near the beach. We get possibly one or two a year in the yard. Move them on, they aren't a problem. There is a knackery up the road. I'm positive there is a massive one on the dunes. I crossed it's path riding a bike. It was a big big snake. At least 12, 14 foot. I'm confident it wasn't a python. Does that sound viable. I know king tigers are a thing, but didn't think they existed in Victoria. Any thoughts?
@CrittaCam

I think I’ve got “spotted black snakes”. living in the thunderbox, they are very timid, and never do anything but escape, you can move them out of the bird pens by hand. Is this normal? They act similar to yours slow and ezy. Always full of ratlings ( Often spew up if scared) so I keep them alive. They seem to be travelling the rat lines.

What is the reason for a V shaped hook rather than a U shaped hook?
@CrittaCam
@CrittaCam Месяц назад
The V can make is easy to control them so they can't keep falling out, most of the Aussie elapids don't like to sit on hooks
