I can’t speak for everyone but I’m so looking forward to content from my fave booktubers while we’re all stuck at home. Seeing this video today after my first online class made my day

I never really understood why representantion was that important in books, but as a muslim and when I heard you talking about that first book I just figured that it made me happy to be represented I finally understand !

I know exactly how you feel. Friday was when everything happened for me in Virginia, and it just put me in a super bad head space and I could not read. I go through times of over reacting, and then undereacting and forgetting corona virus is a thing, and then freaking out again 😬

I did great at this Readathon! Yay! Managed 5/6 and started the sixth. Chose two short (The Deep ⭐️⭐️ and Every Heart a Doorway ⭐️⭐️⭐️), two average length (Eight Perfect Murders ⭐️⭐️⭐️ and The Kitchen House ⭐️⭐️⭐️) and two longer books (Priory of the Orange Tree ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and only on page 80 of Dune).

Random thought as I was watching your videos: since you like romance and novels of the rather steamy sort, have you tried reading Nora Roberts? I've only read 2 trilogies from her but I really loved how they were written and how the main characters were realistic and powerful women. They're contemporary fantasy tho if it came down to genre. If you'd like to try it out, it's the Key trilogy (Light, Knowledge, and Valor), and the Three Sisters Island trilogy (Dance Upon The Air, Heaven and Earth, and Face The Fire).

I must comment on this 3 year old video to say: I L-O-V-E when they say "my pleasure" at Chick-fil-a. I actually started using it myself at work because I love it so much. I understand the point that it's basically manufactured politeness, and I don't always like that. I figured out pretty quickly that my gym's employees were trained to compliment customers when they enter the gym every day, which felt gross to me. I guess because I'm a people pleaser, it seems totally reasonable to me that it really IS a pleasure for that Chick-fil-a employee to serve me.
