I love the idea of the scientist's organization just throwing caution to the wind and sending in several hundred teams of guys instead of just 2 or 3. In a very cold yet funny Aperture Science kind of mentality I can just see a director somewhere going "Most of them will probably die, but someone is bound to find something useful, right?"
Cave Johnson here. Recently a portal test went wrong and we accidentally blasted a hole to what is called "The Backrooms". Maybe not our best work. Anyway, we need you, yes YOU to explore around down there and report back what you find. Who knows. If one of you discovers something useful you might get famous.
It's so sad how he was so mean to the guy who wanted his red flotation donut, like the poor dude seemed like a genuinely nice guy and the camera man was just a complete ass to him.
What a refreshing take on the Backrooms! From all the creepy unsettling ones, seeing goofy yellow hazmat suits running around talking, cracking jokes at each other, along with the nonsense rooms and concepts, as well as just strange situations popping up; I feel like your series makes the backrooms more lively but not necessarily more friendly. This is honestly great
Yea people say things like this ruins the back rooms and you can argue that to an extent, but honestly it gives this once loose concept, its own world. If you just like the original creepy pictures, they’re still there, but now there’s this and hopefully more iterations to expand on. Kinda reminds me of how creepy pastas rose to popularity for a while.
I found out what the buzzing sound us from! The lights. Evidence? Here: 1:34 As you can see, as they passed the light, that buzzing sound grew louder. Then as they exited, there was no buzzing sound bc there are no lights in that room.
3:20 The guy who appears and asks if they need a hand- his voice is distorted slightly. Sounds like a lovely, completely good person. Would totally follow him into a dark tunnel. 10/10 would recommend
The backrooms already felt like a weird dream since its inception on /x/, but this series has really captured that goofy yet spooky dream like vibe. I love it and keep up the good work
I love the concept that you can go on an escalator and travel trought levels, and the fact that the dudes in the video aren't even scared, as if they were just vibing
The concept is so amazing, I love the possibility of exploring the backrooms without being in danger of entities or other freaky things. Of course, you can’t visit all the levels due to the environmental dangers. The only cost though, is that you can’t escape the escalator once you’re on it.
Bruh, this... *THIS* is the type of new videos I've always missed on RU-vid! Just a simple animation bringing a really fun idea to life, or a skits of a few friends playing around with something weird, but also something cool. Kinda reminds me of the old (but gold) content from, like let's say, the year 2015.
Dude, I actually LOVE this. Being with your friends makes it a lot less stressful, and the dialogue between them is almost like red vs blue, or some of hoot's animations, just having casual conversation while in a perilous situation.
You actually put it into words what I was feeling. It’s like a day at the office, if your office was constantly unnerving, infinitesimal, and often hostile towards you. Kinda like the Reds and Blues, you have to have a dark sense of humor to get through the honestly dark life you might live while exploring the back rooms or stationed in two bases in a box canyon. And karma often comes into play here. Camera guy being a douche to donut man is a wonderful example of this.
I love these videos. Watched them all. Amazing work! The anonymous researchers, they’re just vibing as characters. Their dialogue feels authentic and ridiculous at the same time. As much as I want them all to be okay by the end of each journey through the Backrooms, the weird hilarity juxtaposed with the hostile environment really makes each story.
This is the most HUMAN and realistic take on the Backrooms... Just a bunch of dudes exploring taking pot shots at each other and... Well it feels like a blend of horror and comedy with these.
This is a video I didn't want to see end. Or, at least, I was hoping it would have gone a bit longer. I was really captivated by the whole storyline and think you could've gotten at least a half hour out of it. Really, really good stuff.
Even though their in a dimension filled with endless rooms and a ton of monsters and weird room configurations it’s refreshing how sane their staying also makes me think these guys are actually clones hence why they have zero fear in doing stuff like testing out these escalators just like that
I want a 10 hour version of them just going through tons of different levels, and the red floatie guy being alive and the story of where they all ended up
I love how the 1 guy going down the escalator isn't overtly "bad" but there's enough personality that warrants what's happens to him. "Finders keepers" and not helping red donut guy up, just worries about himself.
@@BarrickMacready I never said he was evil, I simply said that karma caught up with his sins. Even the greatest man alive can live a life of sin, whether intentionally or otherwise. This one in particular simply wore it far too proudly and succumbed to a proper punishment as a result
Wow that was comedic and a great showcase of the bizarre nature of the backrooms. The interactions between the employees I think gives these their own unique edge over other backrooms content. I can't help but watch it over again. Great work!
I think some of these guys signed up to die, or had been too desensitised to the point of seeing a colleague's death as just the next Tuesday. That's what disillusioned but experienced workers do for a hefty sum of money to get by, besides making money to feel happy later, but now's their job to check the list and that's all.
Driver "Sarge I think we are taking fire!" Sarge, "What are we in right now?" Driver "uhh... a Stryker?" Sarge "Is this a bullet proof vehicle? Driver "well yeah... so we're just going to ignore this?" Sarge "Yes" Not sure if Sarge had been deployed too many times by the time this incident happened. I really had to respect how jaded he was.
This is an example of how my mind-bending dreams go, usually when I'm semi-aware of that I'm most likely just dreaming. It is fun and I can also most of the time remember most details, just like something that happened like 2 weeks ago. I really like this channel, has different vibes when it comes to the yellow astronauts within the backrooms. Very easy sub.
3:46 yo but imagine a wall like that, except you CAN'T fit under it. The escalator would just keep pushing you against it for all eternity and you can't escape. You can't even sit down.
I knew something was wrong with the guy that “helped” him in the pipe level because of his voice. It sounded way different, i almost thought he was going to become a skinstealer. When he showed him the dark hallway i knew he was dead. Nice video!
The best chance our pov character had would've probably been to pull the entity into the pit and both died together to stop whatever was happening before instead of just dying
You should really think about making a full movie. These short clips are so much fun. Perfect blend of humour and horror--like the incidents he witnesses on the journey up. Brilliant.
The other Backrooms channels that do this, they all lack something that's makes this one extra special. I did not know there was vacancy in my heart for such a bizzare concept. thank you, you swept me off my feet.
i love this series! it's so well made and creative. i hope you're taking care of yourself and not overworking yourself! i wish you all the best and thanks for providing us with this wonderfuly though-out entertainment!
There is something so relaxing and content about watching these something about huge empty feeling spaces with magical things around every corner and the guys being funny and chill even though danger could be around every corner... it's genius and super creative I love this channel 💛
After watching all of your videos I just had to say I love the way these insane scientists talk and interact with each other. It reminds me of Wes Anderson movies. Amazing work!!
This really reminds me of Gone with the Blastwave-- I'd love a more serialized few episdoes where we follow one group for a while-- I get really attached to these guys and wanna see what they're up to! Your characters are so funny and rich for such a short format, it'd be sooo cool to follow a few a few of them and really get to see how that pod interacts in different backrooms situations
man I'm really nostalgic for the white sections of this video I really reminds me of those massive scale modern buidling designs with massive open vaulted ceilings and escalators that climb multiple floors at a time. Especially the Colburn school of arts. Some of the dance floors have this massive white multifloored rooms with sunlights and the hvac vents just out there in the open.
the bit at the end with the part where they had to lay down to fit through is to me the most depressing that just makes it impossible to crawl back down
Man, this is fantastic. I don't know if it's intentional, but having the 'crawl space' at the end of the indoor portion of the escalator ride was genius. My first thought when they got out the top was "That's gonna be a long walk down", but there's no way they're shimmying back down however long that part of the ride was. Welcome to the eternal escalator ride into the void. Also pour one out for red donut dude, my man got done so dirty.
In those dreams these escalators go from building to building, sometimes morphing into elevators that move both up down and sideways across skyscrapers.
wow. i've just binge watched all of your uploads. dude- these are amazing! the mix of subtle dry humour, an underlying genuine nonchalance & beautiful and believable visuals make for a sterling portrayal of the backrooms. it's great to see it made into something not as terrifying, too. great stuff man, keep it up!
