The Bad Cartoon Family Road Trip Movie | The Addams Family 2 Review 

They took a creepy and kooky family, and made them lame, boring, and actually kinda out of character in some instances. At least the animation style was good, taking from the old AF comics.

I knew a million percent that the plot line of Wednesday not being blood related to the Addams would go nowhere. She literally looks like Morticia, but without makeup and shorter

I really hope that Tim Burton's upcoming Wednesday Netflix Show does The Addams Family justice.

It feels weird getting two animated road trip movies in the same year.

The best advice I can give about this reboot to the franchise is stick with the TV shows and the live action movies.

You know, Hotel Transylvania may be a franchise with several flaws, but it's still unfortunate and sad that this piece of garbage got shown in theaters while Hotel Transylvania 4 got delayed to oblivion and moved to Amazon flippin' Prime, again, Hotel Transylvania is flawed but it's still way better in any possible way than these forsaken animated Addams movies.

As someone who found the first one okay if disappointing, I can easily say this sequel was one of the worst films I've seen this year, and I tend to be less critical of silly lighthearted stuff (I surprisingly liked Space Jam: A New Legacy for instance).

At least there’s one positive thing to take away from the film... Mega Karen or Female Trump voiced by Allison Janney didn’t return. Looks like her and Uncle Fester’s relationship that they started at the end of the first film didn’t work out after all. Also, spoilers: there’s a brief scene in the film where the Addams Family van passes by a billboard with her and the name of her business on there and it’s all faded. Looks like her business didn’t last long and she finally got her deserved comeuppance off-screen after getting off Scott-free at the end of the first film.

❤💖 To be honest, I am not looking forward to see the Addams Family Movie 2 because the first film sucks where they took a beloved classic story of creepy and kooky family that we all know and loved, and made them lame, boring, and actually kinda out of character in some instances. It's just one of those sequels that nobody ask for and nobody wants for and only made just for money and a quick cash grab. Kinda like what happened to Scoob movie last year. It does worried me if it might happened to the upcoming Super Mario Bros movie. The celebrities who will voiced the characters are just the celebrities being the celebrities rather than being their own characters and the memorable video game characters that we all know and loved. This is basically the poor man's version of Mitchells vs the Machines and another Hotel Transylvania sequel ripoff. I'll give it as least the animation is a bit improvement than the first film animation. I'm just going to pretend that this doesn't exist, forget about it and moved on with my life. I personality wished that this should be a stop motion animated film kinda like Tim Burton and Laika. Making it dark animated film not some stereotypical, sugar coated family kids comedy film much like every other mainstream animated film. Maybe one day in the near future maybe we might get a good better Addams Family Movie reboot. I'll just sticked to Mitchells vs the Machines instead as a better animated film of a family road trip. It seems that the animated Addams family movies are trying their hardest to copy Hotel Transylvania, and that isn’t even a good animated franchise either.

I find it so funny that Netflix’s Wednesday did a MUCH better job at reviving the Addams Family than these animated movies. 😂😅

Why am I'm not surprised, let alone forgot who The Addams truly are from the original and still doesn't have the original "kooky and spooky" charms to them. Didn't Improved or learned from their previous mistakes at all! I rather got back on the cruise ship with Drac and the gang then deal with this and there 4th movie still Isn't even out yet and been pushed back some more!

Yeah... That's why we have to stick with the 90s Addams Family films from 1991 to 1993 and the awesome 1992 animated show, so we should just stick with them. Speaking of the 1992 Animated Show, it's art style did a slight good job of replicating the art of Charles Addams really well and I'm really hopping people will make a petition to commission Warner Archives to release the 1992 Addams Family show as a complete Series box set. Even the 1973 Addams Family show and the 60s show are also fun too. So for me, 1992 Addams Family wins over CGI Addams Family, at least the 1992 show has better story, better comedy and better character portrayals then the CGI films. Also there's a new Addams Family Movie and TV Show coming out on Netflix called Wednesday and one big surprise, The Nightmare Before Christmas Creator, Artist, Writer and Filmmaker Tim Burton is directing the Pilot Movie of that said show. As a Tim Burton Fan, Nightmare Before Christmas Fan, Corpse Bride Fan, Frankenweenie Fan, James And The Giant Peach Fan and Batman 1989 and Batman Returns Fan I'm looking forward to Tim Burton's Adaptation of the Addams Family. 😁👍👍

The first one wasn't that good.

When I heard there was going to be a sequel I was excited because I thought it would build on the hinted on relationship possibility between Wednesday and Parker, but nope this is a pass from me. Here is how I rank the Addams Family films best to worst I’ve seen: 1. Family Values, 2. 2019 film, 3. 91 film, 4. Halloween With the Addams Family, and the absolute trash with Family Reunion not even Tim Curry could save it.

Wednesday’s arc feel extremely contrived and poorly written.

The original Addams Family is gonna turn 30 this November 22nd, as well as An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, and the glorious Disney's Beauty and the Beast (two of the highest grossing films of 1991! The Addamses had lost to Disney, but they still made it to #8, even if the Disney film went above the top 5 as #3!) I guess if you'd like to celebrate that, then you "Be... our... guest! Be our guest! The 30 years were among the best!"

The road trip episode from TTG is better than this.

Here’s my review: The story: 5/10 At least it didn’t have the generic fish out of water story where Wednesday has to go to school. But that didn’t make the road trip story of this one any good. I would honestly rather have a road trip movie of Hotel Transylvania and even if some people hate those movies I at least think they’re great movies. And they would make a more entertaining road trip movie than The Addams will ever do. The animation: 8/10 At least the human characters don’t look like they belong to big mouth. The characters: 5/10 The characters are just there to be funny which this movie didn’t make make me laugh. The movie: 6/10 At least it was better than the first movie but I still didn’t really like it.

Like! Tim Burton should have directed the movie. He can balance out the creepy and enjoyable on the same level. I do love the Addams, but hate the story on what they made it to be (it's the same moral message we already get) and those residents among the Addams are ugly like the people in Sausage Party. I love the Addams, but this is not a feature for them. They did this for the sake of younger audience (like making the humor really stupid as Secret Life of Pets and Minions style) instead of all the above (again with Tim Burton in charge even I know the Addams alot). And those people who made this movie, they really don't get their priorities straight, Thing had, has and always is a right hand from the very beginning, not a left hand. Love Wednesday and the voice actors of the Addams but not good enough to save anything the real Addams Family (even if they change the voice for Pugsley). And fix Lurch's voice, he does not sing like that at all. Charles Addams is rolling in his grave.

Yeah, I agree that this movie sucked. I thought the first one was okay at best, but this is just crap. I will say, however, that as much as I didn't like this movie, there is one thing that I thought this movie improved on from the first film, and that's with the animation. One of the biggest criticisms I had with the original was that while the animation was decent, it didn't really make much room for the animators to get creative with their skills, but here in the sequel, they actually do get to exercise their creativity with the effects, Wednesday's potions, and the climax where Uncle Fester and Cyrus Strange turn into giant animal creatures and fight against each other, so that was pretty cool to see. That, and while the backgrounds and settings are nothing new, they are nice to look at, and it does give us more areas to explore than in the original whereas in the first one, all we had was just The Addams Family home, the town, and that was it, so if there's one area that this movie did better than its predecessor, it's that it does offer some more creativity with its visuals. I'm not saying that the animation is spectacular, but there is a noticeable amount of effort that went into it. But that does not make up for how dull and predictable this movie is with the story of Wednesday wanting to learn about her origins because it's very easy to guess how it's all going to turn out in the end. Not to mention that the subplots are completely pointless and just pad out the run time, so overall, while it can be an improvement over the original in some aspects, it is worse in others in my opinion. I give this a 4/10. Not the worst animated film I've seen this year, but it's very obvious to see how this movie came out as a rushed product considering it's a sequel that came out only two years after the original. Here's to hoping that Ron's Gone Wrong will be better. But on the bright side, I did follow this garbage up with the re-release of Spirited Away in theaters, so it felt like a breath of fresh air to watch one of the best animated films ever on the big screen after witnessing this bland fest. That, and I did see The Many Saints Of Newark and Venom Let There Be Carnage the day after, and while I thought Newark was just OK at best, I did enjoy Let There Be Carnage, so I'm at least glad I got the crappy Addams Family sequel out of the way first so that I can look forward to other movies coming out this month such as No Time To Die, Halloween Kills, The Last Duel, Dune, The French Dispatch (if it gets a wide release this month), and possibly Ron's Gone Wrong depending on how that one is.

Next is Ron’s Gone Wrong and I really hope it gets a seal of approval or at least close to the seal of approval like an 8/10.
