SMH!!! These 4 are LEGIT!!! I’ve never seen this side of them. First 4 songs rocked!!! Always liked their sound but never heard these songs. Thanks for sharing!
That part where they are playing "Going down to Liverpool" when the camera pans on her moving her butt!!! WooHoo! Even if she dates on the dark side!!!
They were great from the start in 1981, until the industry got them and tore them into shreds. No doubt about how great. I host a radio show on them. Not only the Bangles, but the offspring bands music that came from them. Just amazing.
I wasn't at this concert, but saw several big names at the Syria Mosque. Rick Derringer was awesome there. The building was designed acoustically perfect!
I remember when they came to the Syria Mosque. I was 17 years old, could not go to the concert and wasn't interested anyway. But watching it now ... WOW!
Exactly.....and how this bass is "pushing". Or this clip, "I'm not talking": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FY3Ncc6dFJo.html How she plays the bass and sing at the same time... i think, 90% bassplayers of the big rock groups could not do like she did it. Divine! I love this woman. Then and now
Ulli Schuster I've seen bass players who sing, like Suzy Quatro. But the interesting thing about Steele is that she doesn't play only rhythm, her bass lines are usually very melodic, which makes it more difficult. She carried a melody on the bass and another with the voice at the same time. In addition to her ability to harmonize, maintaining a melody within a four-voices harmony. Even more difficult than the lead vocal. Most people don't understand the invaluable work Michael did in the band.
Today it's the Warning, 35 years ago it was the Bangles. I think the Bangles had better harmonies but both have great bass and drum players. Drive the songs!
