I actually remember this. The John Travolta phenomenon coming out of this show really peaked with Grease (1978) coming on the heels of the success of Saturday Night Fever.(1977). Our local mall had a John Travolta lookalike contest that was a blast in July of '78. Good times.

I grew up watching this show and I was a fanatic about watching it...I ran home as fast as I could to make sure I didn’t miss it.....BUT when the news came out that John Travolta was gay I was floored..I didn’t believe it at first but when he was caught kissing another man (not his family) right in the mouth I was convinced...although I don’t agree with that lifestyle he is still a great actor....RIP for the actors that died on the show....
