Great set of rules, gotta get my copy ASAP. Gonna use it for games of the Polish Feudal Partition 1138-1320 AD and Baltic Crusades. Cheers to Mr Hobday and the crew of Wargames Illustrated as well as Footsore Miniatures!
Oddly, I cant find anywhere this book or downloadable PDF is being sold. Even the Warhost website is void of that information. Lots of information, but the most important info on how to get the rules can't be found or at least not easily one wanting to buy it would like.
We often get books early, pre-release, in order to make videos that can be out ahead of time to inform the audience before making a purchase. I'm not sure the book is out yet - I'm sure, once it is, you'll be able to get it from Warhost or the Barons' War section of the Footsore website footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collections/barons-war
@@jambot4621 There us no way I'm ordering a rulebook from the UK ever again. The shipping cost is way too prohibitive. The Warhost website is loaded with information and even has a forum with people commenting and making suggestions for Dark Ages, scenarios, additional rules and more. You'd figure they would give some form of "coming soon" statement about the rules. Especially considering the comments in the video on how active the author is. I see lots of involvement for sure and that excites me. I just wish I could give some money and download a PDF to get started or even buy the book through Amazon in the US.
Andy is active if you're on social media - well worth checking out the Barons' War Facebook group. As for ordering from the UK - very much depends on where you order from and what you're getting. Just give it time to find out when and where the book will be available - there will be more info as the 2021 release date gets closer, I'm sure.
@@wildbillsworkshop3410 this is made by footsore miniatures who are both UK and US based. I imagine it will show up in their US store in the near future.
A great question indeed. I hope a PDF/Print on demand option is available on Wargame Vault at some point for us US based folks. Shipping from the UK is so costly. Right now there is no telling where this can be purchased.

At the moment only backers of the Barons’ war Kickstarter have access to the PDF. In their reward the physical copy will be included. From what those responsible have said, it will be available in the new year for retail
The book will be released in the new year through Footsore Miniatures and hopefully other stockists. Wargames Illustrated received an advanced copy to review.
@@wildbillsworkshop3410 True indeed. Shipping rates are literally a full third of purchase price. Unconscious really. Worse yet, the HMFICs keep telling us to expect this "shutdown" to continue through 2021 and into 2022. Between unconscious (international) shipping rates to hysterical government talking heads spouting rhetoric... this 2021 is not shaping up to be better than the last. C'est la vie.
I wonder how long the spine will last in my hands? I guess by page 40 something will have gone crack and a page will become a bookmark... I've fallen in love with spiral bound books and really do not want to go back to anything else. PDF and print is often my only choice now.
I sometimes take these sorts of books into my local copy shop and have them ringbound. I have a comb binding machine as well, which isn't quite as good.
