Wow! This is amazing....I am already paying for geotracker and facebuilder...i wish all of these came under one bundle with a reasonable price....amazing job by the way!
@@keentools First of all, thanks a lot for opportunity! I also have a question. I was so hyped so installed the plugin immediately and realized that trial starts right after installation (29 days left). Can I pause it somehow, since I don't want to lose days before I will try it. I could start testing no earlier than a week from today. 😅
@@BAYqg Current FaceTracker release is just the first open beta. It will be active for 30 days. The next beta will be released until that date. Everyone will be offered an update which will be active for another 30 days, so you don't need to pause anything. What will expire though is the FaceBuilder 15-day trial. That one gets activated when you press the New button next to Head input.
FaceTracker only processes faces and heads, indeed. GeoTracker (our other tool) is used sometimes for other parts of the body, but only when they're non-deforming.
I think this tool has a lot of potential. I wish I had the option to keep the texture within the mouth. When I bake an image sequence of the whole video texture, it creates an alpha for the inside of the mouth, but I want to see teeth.
You're right, add-on doesn't do internals of the head at the moment. Only the "outer layer", i.e. cheeks, lips, chin. Maybe we'll add a feature like this in a future.
Is it also grey when you try some other video file (different format maybe)? If yes, please message us at team@keentools.io Provide details: your OS and blender version and screencast of the problem.
Which is better for tracking helmets etc, this or geotracker please? I presume face tracker is more for tattoos, skin blemishes, scars etc, but good for hats, helmets or geotracker the better option please?
In addition to head tracking, FaceTracker also lets you track emotions. So that depends on your task really. If it's just adding a hat or helmet, GeoTracker may be enough. If that includes facial performance, then FaceTracker is a better option.
is it only possible with FaceBuilder, or can you use a generic head like in GeoTracker? My FaceBuilder trial expires in two days, so the workflow won't be free for me, but that's fine.
exampling a single texture applied to whole mesh leaves me wondering why. would it be very problematic for instance to do the part android, like face panel removed thing, or whatever tattoo style ?
For this translucent silicon mask effect single texture is enough. If you need if for a tattoo or other beauty job, you can use animated texture map: Texturing tab > Save to Sequence
The ears could use a little work. Have been projecting stuff on the face and the ears give it away. They are not "3D" and don't account for proper shadows.
@@bzikarius The main goal here is quick and easy tracking with generated face mesh. Plus texturing. You can then use Blender tools to do wrinkles or whatever.
If I turn on Maxface, it makes the aspect ratio 1:1 and ruins the texture. Not Maxface is the problem. Even if I go to edit and go back it falls apart. I see, you must choose a video frame in the edit mode, the PNG photoes has a different ratio which makes the software transform the footage.
Looks like you're trying to switch to maxface with a previously created texture which has other UV type. It doesn't apply automatically after you select a different UV in the drop down. You'll need to go back to FaceTracker and hit Create Texture once again.
Does it import all videos upside down? If yes, can you please send a message describing the issue to team@keentools.io please also mention which Blender version and OS you're using
Is this face-tracking tool suitable for capturing my speaking facial movements and then applying the tracking data to animate a creature's face, so it looks like the creature is talking? 😂 😂
There are troubles in the tutorial. You don't tell us how to go to the nodes menu, how to go back to the frames menu. How to hide the pinpoints. You often press a shortcut without telling us how to do that. But anyway it's a very great tool. This subscribtion system is very expensive. It caused by monopoly market structure. If there would be an alternative company with a similar tool, people would buy the cheaper one. Facefusion is free and can do most of the things people need.
