Die beste Band der Welt... Keine andere Band löst solche Gefühle in mir aus wie die Bates... Selbst die Lieder, die sie covern... Die Cover klingen MINDESTENS genau so gut, wie die Originallieder. Just awesome, wunderful, special... Rock 'n' Roll will never die!!!
I finally found author of this song. It is one of the best punk rock songs what i have ever heard. This song is very cool, it's something like an anthem of the post punk generation. I know that this is Neil Young's song, but this performance is awesome, and best of possible for this song, I was looking for author of it for to damn long, any song recognizing program could not help me, It was tagged as Sid Vicious song, I was doubted, and only by comments of people I found true author of this performance.
Kurt Cobain refferenced it in his suicide note, It's better to burn out than to fade away. He wrote. A think ithis somg must be jynxed. All 3 who covered or mentiined died young.

Es gibt Coversongs, die relativ einfach zu spielen sind, dafür ist es viel schwerer die besondere Stimmung des Originals zu erreichen. Deswegen sind Coversongs von Neil Young (noch extremer: Tom Waits) fast immer total überflüssig. Aber ganz ganz selten gibt es Ausnahmen... die Coverversion ist noch besser, intensiver als das Original - The Bates (und ganz speziell Zimbl) hatten diese Gabe das Cover zu einen ihrer eigenen Songs zu machen und somit das Original, wie hier zu verbessern. Das gelang den Jungs so gut wie immer... fast alle Cover sind in der The Bates-Version die besseren Songs - was für eine seltene Gabe!?
Wie sie das geschafft haben frage ich mich auch immer wieder.... Die meisten (Cover)Bands spielen entweder die Songs einfach "nur" nach oder sie versuchen "ihr Ding" draus zu machen und verändern/interpretieren die Songs so übertrieben dass vom Original nicht mehr viel übrig bleibt, selten klappt es dass der Coversong gut oder besser als das Original wird... Die Bates haben es geschafft nah am Original zu bleiben und - ganz locker, ohne Schnickschnack, nur mit den paar Instrumenten - die Essenz, die "Seele" des Songs zu bewahren, sie rüber zu bringen so wie sie vom Künstler gemeint waren und dennoch zu "veredeln" - wahrlich eine seltene Gabe!!

@greeneyeboy79 Tatsächlich, dass wusste ich garnicht, dass da mal eine 3er CD-Box rausgekommen ist. Wie gesagt, bis dato war das Lied nur auf diesem alten VHS Tape zu finden. War eine geile Zeit!
Der super Song ist so geil wie eine chemische radioaktive Keule wir bekommen aber keinen Wutanfall und brauchen keinen Psychiater von das Mädchen Netzwerk
Hi! Sorry, it isn't on any record, neither studio nor live (official). The Bates often played songs a few times for fun and then nevermore. "Yesterday" is also such a song. Zimbl (when you search for his solo concerts on youtube) did even more covers of songs he liked like "Those Were The Days", Paint It Black", Lili Marleen etc.

Da musst vdu dir eine Zeitmaschine bauen, zurück nach 1992 reisen und den Fragen. ;-) Aber ich mag das auch nicht. Sollte wohl ein cooler Effekt sein, sieht aber für den Betrachter aus als ob das Band kaputtgegangen wäre.
