It always struck me as odd that Gordon never recognizes Alfred’s voice as the “mysterious voice on the Batphone” despite meeting him numerous times. Also absolutely LOVE Return of the Caped Crusaders and Vs. Two Face

@@LiveFromThePorcelainPalace it is odd but ironically enough there is an episode that addresses this where commissioner Gordon admits he thought Bruce wayne and batman were the same person cause the voice was so similar but batman comes up with a way to have himself on the phone while he as batman is in the commisioners office. The show addresses a lot of those common questions to where it makes sense.

This iteration of Batman has always been a favorite of mine, as a kid who grew up with all the darker Batman stuff like the Nolan movies, Animated Series and Burton films. There was something really cool about seeing colorful lighthearted versions of characters I knew to be dark and serious

Yeah it kind of depends on the era you grew up. Serious batman vs witty comic batman but the 60s it was still based on the comic at the time. I do like the more detective side as well as the humor in 1960s batman vs now it seems to be more about beating guys up and scaring them or always like "ahhh you killed my parents" like that Gothic batman. I do like the atmosphere of the darker batman if had to pick the 60s batman Is always my go to favorite especially of batman and Robin.

The show *Legends of Tomorrow* also "self-parodied" the DC universe a lot, especially in the later seasons. (season 1 in particular was pretty serious, the tone of the show really changed after that) It's too bad it was cancelled before they had a chance to make a real ending for it, but on the other hand, we're lucky we've got that many seasons (7) of the show to begin with. It's not often we get to see that many obscure DC characters come to life in live-action, in episodes/scenarios that reminded me of "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" and "Justice League: Action" Good stuff. But aside from hardcore DC fans in love with the secondary characters, not a lot of people watched it I guess... oh well, Matt Ryan as John Constantine was worth it.

Thanks. Grandparents, eh? I'll have you know I resemble that remark, young man! I grew up watching afternoon reruns of this show. Couldn't stand to miss it. I actually had a full Batman suit, complete with cowl & utility belt. The boots were really spats over my sneakers. How my Mom made all this happen is a story unto itself. I have this movie and I love it unconditionally. It and the series it was meant to kick off are a tongue-in-cheek send up. It knows what it is and it winks at us while pretending to take itself seriously. I understood that more as I got older, but never stopped loving it. tavi.

This show was extremely intelligent! You just have to be intelligent enough to understand their willful silliness! It was tongue in cheek on purpose! It always irritates me when people tear down this show! "Not a lot of brains behind it" as you say. You have to be smart to understand what they were going for. Hell, Adam West would constantly plant his tongue firmly in his cheek after delivering his lines. You keep saying "I never understood...." , well that much is obvious!

Typical view one of my impressions of this movie it was fantastic a view that is a changed it was certainly worth waiting for as a kid I thought was its Batman and Robin no matter where it appeared it would become a cultural icon of the 60s to 70s and into the early 80s without this a younger Tim Barton would never of dreamt up his classic take of his best work even though it wasn't as chessie or cool as the original? You are actually wrong about this 60s Batman begin the very first movie of Batman there is a back and white film set in 1930s called The Bat a very different version of the cape and cowl a lot darker and scarier than DC comis hero but still his a Bat Man that must be the earliest version of the darker Knight?

Riddle-er?
@RialVestro
@RialVestro 9 месяцев назад
What do you mean "You'll never be able to solve the Riddler's riddles"? This is Batman 66 Riddler, all of his riddles have intentionally super obvious answers. The show was written for CHILDREN! In fact though the entire series it was always obvious what villains were involved with any particular crime because their crimes were always on theme with the character who was committing them. You don't have to be a genius to solve the "riddles" in this series, it's like solving 2+2. I don't think there's a single riddle in the series that is difficult to figure out unless it's your first time hearing them... and you're like 4. The Batman's Riddler I don't think it's possible to actually solve his riddles. That movie was made as more of a detective film where Batman hardly ever fights anyway and plays up more of the detective side but it just ends up being super boring because I have no idea how he actually pieces Riddler's plan together. He's not even Edward Nigma in that movie how did Batman even figure out his real identity without the painfully obvious E. Nigma reference? Also in regards to Two-Face... they had originally cast William Shatner not Clint Eastwood to play the role. An episode was written for him with Shatner in the role but the episode didn't end up happening because the make up required for the character was pretty much impossible in the 60's. Because of that the idea was scrapped. Clint Eastwood was a major name in Hollywood and would have been too expensive to hire for a low budget T.V. series so I don't know where you got the idea that he was ever even considered. And Shatner is the actor who would still end up in the role for the movie where they even made his animation model look like Young William Shatner as he appeared in the 60's even though Willaim Shatner doesn't actually look like that anymore. There was actually plans to make more of these animated movies but those plans where canceled when Adam West passed away. Even though this series is known for recasting a lot of it's actors already there was no interest in continuing without Adam West in the role.

Its campy and great. Nolan Batman takes itself to seriously, is woke, and boring. His films are always full of Batman getting lectured by Lucious Fox, and Alfred, who wants to watch that? Lectured by Lucious Fox! Hahaha! Yeah...nah! The latest "The Batman" movie was pointless, not to fun to watch and is woke too. Hollywood sucks lately as can be seen in many other films.
