This is EXACTLY what I want out of a Batman movie. A dark, grimy Gotham, an emotional and inexperienced Batman that still feels supernatural in the eyes of the criminals and the Riddler as the villian, testing Batman's detective skills.

I honestly believe this movie is going to succeed incredibly well because not only is it a fresh take on Batman (Riddler and Penguin being pursued as serious villains being one example), but it also is obviously a work of true visual art that not many comic movies these days try to attempt. It doesn’t sacrifice artistic vision for 2 hours of combat. Instead, it implements combat into the art. The shot of Batman flying toward the camera took me by surprise because it just looked so raw and real. So many shots seen in this trailer make me beyond excited to see it on the big screen!

This film is really emphasizing Batmans raw anger when he first starts his career and im loving it. Everything from the uneasy theme to the look in his eyes when he almost doesnt want to stop beating someone, but forces himself to.

@@paterpater100 Yeah I think it’s pretty clear they are going to respect Batman this time around with the code and stuff considering how much care they have shown for this project. And like you said I think as well that the extra brutal nature will come into play story wise during the movie. Probably someone like Alfred or maybe Catwoman since she looked terrified,will help him see that it’s not just about vengeance at any cost anymore. After he has helped the city more throughout the movie. And that he has become a symbol to people and needs to think and act without so much raw emotion.

Honestly, this in my opinion was the best portrayal of Bruce Wayne ever. This feels like what Bruce would have actually developed into, considering the trauma he experienced. Not some hunk who cracks lame jokes like Michael Keaton, or the pretty boy we saw in Christian Bale.

Yeah I thought it worked well that a young version of himself wanted to spend all his time as Batman to the point where he barely put on a different persona as Bruce Wayne. The end of this film has me thinking he realized that Bruce Wayne can still do great things for Gotham, so I expect to see somewhat of the playboy philanthropist that we know.

Just got out of the theater (no spoilers here.) To tell the truth, I've never really been a Batman fan. I casually enjoyed the Christian Bale movies for what they were. But I think this was the best Batman movie weave had to date. The Batman's presence around people was truly intimidating, and the setting was unmistakably Gotham. It's worth a rewatch in my opinion

1:40 is absolutely beautiful. Wow. For some reason, it literally feels like a comic plastered into a film. I know that may sound weird, but the entire vibe felt like some cult classic type. Haven't seen something filmed like this in a while.

Everyone who was talking trash about this batman were all wrong he is the most realistic batman out there when it comes to live action and has the best overall suit and attitude. The movie itself didn't feel rushed at all and was really good I really hated the Riddler lol because he was annoying but batman and all the supporting actors like Selina and Gordon plus Alfred all did a phenomenal job. I like how at the end of the movie he realized that he can make a difference not only by spreading fear through Gotham but by helping its people.

I really like how Robert's version of Batman shows more of the comic side to his character. Like his mouth movements for example. In the shots within the trailer where you see his mouth, it moves like a cartoon character, whereas the other Batman's (Christian Bale and Ben Affleck etc.) mouths are just in a straight line when they are batman rather than bruce Wayne. Super keen for this!

To people who think this us too brutal for Batman who is usually calm and calculating, Remember that this Batman is still in his very early years. He perfectly portrays a young Batman. He is still very inexperienced on handling his anger, which he learns to control overtime. He will eventually become the Batman you know him to be.

I love how Batman seems more emotional here. He's not the calm and calculating sentry like he is in his later years. This is a young Batman. Love it! EDIT: I'm not trying to detract from the Nolan films at all; just stating that Battinson is an emotional Batman compared to the character's often sentry-like behaviour.

Finally a fresh take on Batman with new Villians. This movie is an art. It's shot in a very artistic way and it's beautiful. Actors were brilliant specially Robert Pattinson, Paul Dano, Zoe Kravitz and Jeffrey Wright. Also Colin Farrell 's Penguin was a delight to watch.

It's not a cross between Keaton and Bale because Keaton's movie took a fantastic and more comic book accurate route around it's time, while The Dark Knight trilogy was all about realism. This Batman is very different than the both.

The bit where he walks straight into those two guys with the machine guns, not caring about the bullets, honestly gave me goosebumps. It’s awesome to not only see a bat suit that I assume is almost completely bulletproof, but also a Batman that’s close to unhinged and just, as he put it, doesn’t care what happens to him, it’s about time we see that side of Batman in film, that Batman really isn’t mentally stable, it’s great to see it now.
