Feiyang (Bright) Hu every chapter in total is 1440 for outbreaks in empire of cats so you only need 60 more, which is easy to get by just waiting, then you get an uber, you already grinded for treasures, you can't grind for an uber?
@Feiyang (Bright) Hu I see your point here, and i'm not 100% sure about all of this because i'm new myself (Haven't even beat chapter one.) but I feel like going back into these stages with zombies and getting some cat food, a metal to say that you did it, and, of course, BRAGGING RIGHTS seems WAAAAAAAAAAY more interesting then *Deep echo voice* PRESSING A BUTTON AND GETTING A SINGLE CAT FOOD EACH TIME!
Theory for why outbreaks take so long to appear between one another is because, when the game decides an outbreak occurs, it randomly picks between 1 of the 47 stages in the chapter and that will be your outbreak. If you've already beaten the outbreak, it won't reroll for a new one, and you'll just have no outbreak appear until the game rolls for another outbreak(whenever that is), assuming it chooses a stage you haven't already obtained the Z-Medal for, which can explain why outbreaks appear so infrequently as you collect Z-Medals.
God, that's incredibly dumb on PONOS' part. It can't be that hard to change so that the game rerolls once you clear an outbreak. They could even make it so that as you collect z medals the time between each outbreak in a single chapter slightly increases, by say, 5 minutes each.
I was thinking of a similar mechanism, the question is in which interval does the game do this. Using NRGlitch to make outbreaks reappear lets you farm them in a day, but going towards the last ~10 you might need more than one successful glitch. Assuming NRGlitch skips 2 days, that means that there should be an outbreak roughly every 2 hours (2 NRGlitches for a specific stage, 4 days = 92 hours, 92h/48(number of total outbreaks)=2h). This theory has been fairly consistent for me, but when your outbreaks are all done, well, they're done, so I'd need another account to test more.
I'm pretty sure that Outbreaks appear more frequently if you beat a level in the chapter in which the Outbreaks are appearing. I waited over a month for the EoC Chapter 3 Moon Outbreak to reappear (since I failed it the first time) and it didn't until I decided to re-beat a stage just to see if that would make it appear. After a day, it did.
Agreed! I also don't like the randomness of the treasure drops. It would be more satisfying if they were skill-related, like the timed score rewards in ITF. Pass the level slowly, get an Inferior treasure, at medium speed, a Normal treasure, and fast enough, a Superior treasure.
I feel like it should be that on the second one you are guarenteed to get an inferior treasure the third one normal and the fourth one you are guarenteed to get a superior treasure
tbh they should just make it so that if you clear a level more than 4 times(3 times with treasure fest), you automatically get the superior treasure version, or just heavily raise the treasure chance because as it is, treasure grinding is incredibly boring and time-consuming, and I can understand if it makes newer players less eager to play the game. Hell, I felt almost the same way on my first playthrough
Lucas IV yeah but still if a player didn’t get the energy treasure from chapter 1 and got stuck on a chapter 2 stage they would comeback and have to dump all their energy into a couple stages just to get a chance
i think it shouldn be a 100% gurantee after a few attemps, i think a nice idea would be each time you beat the stage the chance increases till a max of maybe 60% of teasure chance, and maybe getting the guarateed superior after maybe 10-15 times, i mean, grinding isnt very fun but it gives something to acomplish in the game besides just beating the stages
In my opinion ponos should allow switches between normal and outbreak, increase treasure drop chance and guarantee superior treasures on the 4th attempt of a level. Edit:The reason why I said superior treasures should be guaranteed on the 4th attempt of a level is because I am tired of wasting UR Rank rewards and Cat Food.
Im finna be real withcha, having to get treasure is the only thing stopping me from playing CoTC 1&2. I know the stages are fun and the restrictions provide a interesting challenge but I dont want to spend 660 energy on only 2 stages just so i can get treasure thats mandatory if you want to think of completing the chapter...
@@trashtrash5409 I beat it first try with 3000+ as my time score but somehow I got progressively worse at beating the stage, 3000 turned into 990 and 990 turned into 500. Guess I won’t be getting that sweet rare ticket any time soon. I have no anti alien cats either.
@@terrylap6132 for me, it was the opposite. I got 0 score the first time I did ItF 1 great abyss, now I can get over 7300 without even really trying (and I don't have a.bahamut yet)
@@LucasIVYT Not like you're gonna lose, so playing it once should be enough. (Except if you go blind in which case... Why are you using energy overflow and go blind? There are better ways to waste 30 cat food)
IMO, the best way to fix treasure grinding is to remove energy for EoC up to CoTC, and make Energy a thing in SoL. It's hard as it is to grind treasures to beat Bun-Bun, I don't need to be limited on how many times I can grind for treasures.
I'd argue that SoL is the chapter where Energy needs to be removed the most, because there's a LOT of trial and error, so unless you read the wiki strategies for EVERY. SINGLE. LEVEL. Getting anywhere is a nightmare, not to mention that even WITH the wiki strats the later levels are a pain. I saw this on a one-star review and I really think it's a great idea. Make it so you can watch 5 Ads to replenish ALL energy. And you can do this whenever you want so you can actually play it LIKE A GAME. And Ponos still gets money, arguably MORE with this tactic since they can target the people who don't want to buy Cat Food.
I had already gotten the treasures by the time outbreaks came out, but I have absolutely NO motivation to treasure hunt cats of the cosmos two, grinding cats of the cosmos 1 was hell
I agree with you about medals. They are off putting as they add an extremely grindy aspect to the game. However the cat food given for completing an out rake I think saves it a bit more.
No views? But for real, yeah Z outbreaks and treasures are so annoying. I remember having to wait a days for ITF treasure fest because I needed Anti-Alien Treasures. I also, got all the Z-medals, after getting all treasures... ugh!!! I do like zombie outbreaks though.
I feel like treasures are quite fair honestly, in a game where you could just rush through everything would be pretty boring, I may be pretty biased because I like tedious games lots of grinding, it makes me feel complete when I finish everything.
Point is you can’t rush through it, have you not seen the literally endless event stages, the 1 - 4 star SoL stages (Especially IDI:N’s secret stage), EoC, ItF (Including time rewards), CotC 1 & 2. Oh, also did I mention the zombie outbreaks and countless cats, Ubers, supers, rares and specials to collect? True forms? Catfruit stages? XP stages? Cat ticket stages? The list goes on and on, if that’s not enough for you, then I can’t help you, also, yes, your point is biased as casual players who’s reason for playing is to have fun with the story and progress at a smooth rate with little stops or kinks (Like me) are infuriated with spending 400 or so energy just to get a normal treasure. What I find unfair is that the game gives you less XP for continuously beating a stage, which is fine on it’s own, but couple that with the need to grind and it becomes unfair, also, the energy system is completely incompatible with the treasure system, do you feel a sense of pride or accomplishment when you wait for your energy to recharge? You most likely don’t.
Well, I’ll be honest. Two years later and just discovering this video, I wanted to say that this rookie actually took time to use the z medals to actually get superior treasures in ch 1. I do agree, outbreaks kinda suck though but I like the cat food and will result to do anything but hack or spend money for it
I don't think of outbreaks as a way to get treasure more easily. I see them as cat food and eventually an energy max boost. If you think of them like that, they're ok.
The most annoying thing has to be how you can’t see what’s in the zombie stage. This is especially bad for into the future, since you don’t know if it could have red, black, or aliens contained in the level.
I have to admit that I got to the uncanny legends with 18 treasures missing in itf chapter 3 and 24 treasures missing in cotc, but I agree with the things you said in this video. I once made a starter acount and got stuck because of the outbreaks. I also just went and farmed all those treasures I still needed a few weeks back and it was a pain in the ass.
I think the treasure system should work by guaranteeing you superior treasure for every stage in an section of eight stages when you complete those stages. Z medals then, ought to increase cat limit by 1 for each medal obtained.
Better than increased treasure drop. Hey, maybe for each chapter in which all medals are claimed, you get one extra unit slot. Up to six, considering the four current chapters and two anticipated future chapters.
@@spidy6067 At least it's a worthy reward instead of 10 Cat food and a tiny bit of energy that isn't even enough for a single crazed attempt. And speaking of Crazed, it would make the awkward difficulty spike after EOC 3 a lot better.
@@lordpumpkinhead265 I’d talk about you replying to this year old comment but I replied a year after the parent comment was made and it’s honestly pretty fair it’s just kinda how I roll
I guess I technically used Z medals to get treasure in ITF on my JP account, since I never had a reason to get any of the treasures except anti alien to complete SoL. But that's just because I was too lazy to get those treasures lmao
While the z medal is useless, the stages themselves are fun, and I kind of wish there was a way to play them a second time to practice anti zombie strats before getting destroyed by a dread bore. (Cat food is nice bonus)
Forgot to say this but let's be honest, everyone should have gotten all of the Superior treasure from Korea to Japan and gotten a 100% energy drink before they cleared Ch.1.
I got lucky, when the 51 mil dl celebration came around, they made tresure festival every day for two weeks. it took like 120 cat food, and some leadership, but i got all but a few treasures for all of EOC, i didnt have any before that.
(Shit idea probably) make all stages have outbreaks and it will let you choose between outbreak and normal. Outbreak stages is for Z-medals. Normal stages is for treasure at a higher rate. You should also be guaranteed a superior treasure on the third clear since, like another commenter said "Grinding has no place in a game with an energy system".
Whenever I replay the game I'll farm for treasures like this. I'll play a level over and over as many times as I can until I get superior on that level, before I move onto the next one. I also think that Outbreaks are a good feature simply because of the increased energy, and 10 cat food per each outbreak. The 10 cat food on each stage is really useful for new players and on my first playthrough allowed me to get some good rares and super rares from 11 draws. The max energy bonus is also useful, as increasing your max energy is always something you want to do.
I imagine in the future there will be an update that introduces no new content, but it is entirely based of optimisations recommended by players. For the collab stages maybe have like a separate section called the collab hub, which only appears during collabs. The collab hub is unlocked after completing japan or unlocking every basic cat. The collab hub will grant the player with the taste of power: every basic cat will be level 20 with all treasure at 200% only in the hub. Special cats like Valkyrie will also be granted temporarily. The levels of the collab will be designed for the limitations. Veteran players will experience no changes when entering the hub( how to determine veterans is unknown), but they will be able to access stages similar in difficulty to the ones we have today. I don’t have anything to say about the treasure system as of now This idea is probably flawed in many ways l I tried
I actually liked the outbreaks, they can be challenging when you are a beginner and the free catfood is very nice, and soon Cats Of The Cosmos will have them! (Unless they already have them, idk, I haven't beaten em yet) Also seeing the new enemies are cool.
Also i always put off getting certain treasures I don't think are useful like the cat cannon ones or getting more money from defeating enemies so I waited a long time to get em, and when I did the Z-Medals helped alot.
My idea is: FIRST clear of a stage can have 45/45 chance of nothing or bronze + 10% of superior. SECOND clear should be 30/30 chance of bronze (nothing if u got it from first clear) or normal + 40% of superior. THIRD clear is guaranteed superior!!! For z outbreaks, I would like to see a toggle between normal and zombie for cleared stages in EoC or ItF
Zombie outbreaks in my opinion should increase the overall chaper treasure droprate because I'm currently grinding out treasures in chapter 3 and I have 2 or 3 small areas that I have all the z medals in but I pretty much had superior treasures in every level that had the boost making the reward pointless I feel like the biggest issue is the alaska stage since it's so easy and is the only level in its set so I actually dreaded getting that as a zombie stage since I learned that it does nothing for me
I agree, to be honest. I enjoy the Zombie stages, but none of the basic or Special cats are good against Zombies, and that makes it difficult to tackle Outbreak stages immediately after finishing EoC Chapter 1. So the following ends up happening: - Finish EoC Chapter 1 - Try Outbreak stage and inevitably fail - Roll Gacha on the off chance of getting a cat that's decent against Zombies - Still struggle on the Zombie stages because your cats' level cap is simply too low and you don't yet have all the treasures from EoC Chapter 1 (not that any of those treasures are any good against Zombies in particular anyway). - End up playing EoC Chapter 2 and going back to grind earlier treasures on Chapters 1 and 2 whenever stuck, while also trying whatever SoL stages you can manage in order to make enough XP to get your cats to a decent level. - Eventually level up enough to be able to pass Zombie outbreaks in EoC Chapter 1, but already have the vast majority of treasures by this point, rendering the alleged increased treasure drop rate upon completing a set of Outbreak levels pretty pointless. - Eventually receive medals on sets in which you most likely already have all Superior treasures because you had to grind for them in order to progress through Chapter 2 (at best, the increase might help you get bronze or silver treasures up to gold more easily, but I haven't personally derived any benefit from it that I couldn't get from simply playing the relevant chapters while a Treasure Festival is on) - Rinse and repeat once you've completed Chapter 2 and try to do those Outbreak stages without having all the treasures yet. I think the following amendments need to be made to the existing system: - Make Outbreak stages available at the same time as regular stages, either once the chapter is over or from the very start of the game. That way, the player can work through them in their own time as they would regular stages without needing to wait for random outbreaks. This would actually make the increased treasure drop rate worth something. However, in order for this to work, the Zombie outbreak stages on each chapter would need to be easier to pass than they are now. I'm thinking that outbreak stages on the earliest levels like Korea, Japan etc should become reasonably doable once one is at the halfway point of a chapter. That way, when the going starts getting tough and stronger enemies (like Teacher Bear and LeBoin in EoC Chapter 1) begin appearing, one can go back to the earlier levels of the chapter, work through the outbreak stages, increase their chances of getting Superior treasures, and then grind the regular stages for treasure, hopefully without having to play each level too many times (in fact, maybe passing an Outbreak stage for a chapter should guarantee a Superior treasure on the next play of the regular stage if one hasn't yet been acquired). This would help players progress through the game faster, and the only grinding required would be of high XP stages in order to level up cats. - A major issue is the fact that none of the Normal or Special cats have any anti-Zombie abilities. This forces players to use Gacha and hope that they land Lumber Cat or Welterweight Cat or something along those lines. This could be resolved by introducing a purchaseable (with cat food) Special cat that has anti-Zombie abilities. That way, everybody can have some chance at passing Outbreak stages without being forced to roll Gacha. - Another issue is that there are no specifically anti-Zombie treasures that one can acquire until ITF Chapter 1. This should either be rectified within Empire of Cats itself by creating a new treasure group from a couple of the stages that increases attack power against Zombies upon unlocking it. Alternatively, increased attack power against Zombies could be given as a drop reward upon reaching a particular user rank or completing a particular stage in EoC Chapter 1.
I swear I've been spending the last few weeks exclusively replaying EoC levels to get treasures. I've had to play Ch.2 Nepal 19 times and Ch.3 Easter Island once. All this to beat Ch.3 Moon lol
@LucasIV I found the Z-medals very useful. It took me at most 2 tries to get a treasure and 4 to get a gold treasure in EoC Chapters 1,2 and 3 in every map.
They should leave Z levels for people who are ready. They can do this by making it so chapter must be cleared and they must have golden treasure. Then increase Treasure rates and add a "Treasure Hunter" trait to some cats that act like a non-garunteed treasure radar.
Is this up to date? New player perspective here. I completed EoC 1, 2 and 3 without worrying much about treasures. I came back to farm *at least bronze* on key lvls only for the third boss. For a while, i've been farming stories of legend and events, while doing zombies outbreak whenever I got the time. In my current state, I cleared zomby EoC ch.1, much of ch.2 and a bit of ch.3. I really aprecciate the treasure boost to collect the few treasures i've left here and there.
totally agree, i just recently collected all the 144 z medals and im at player rank 4000, i had gotten all the medals waayyyyy earlier. I found that the outbreaks refresh every hour, they don't always occur every hour but you literally have to check in every hour. I think one good way to fix this issue would be make the treasure a score based reward like the rewards in cats in time, then it would be a skill and leveling related system vice a random and highly unlikely reward.
you may not like having to farm zombie outbreaks, but you basically have to do it to increase your energy cap to over 1K to make it easier to farm epic behemoth stones.
I recall how when i started BC, i almost quit due to the anoyance of the treasure hunting, but i never had issues with outbreaks (but yes, enhanced treasure drop related to outbreak is dumb). To me, a possible way to help with treasure farming would be allowing people to farm the stage for treasures only without using energy after the first time completion, or require energy to run, but you get it back only if you beat the stage.
Easy, Just make outbreaks available all the time and allow players to switch between regular stages and outbreak stages. Also instead of having the z-medals/z-emblems as treasure drop rate increases, make them energy increases. So make one outbreak equal one extra energy, then make stages like Alaska or Great Abyss as five extra energy. Then, the reward for getting the last two zombie medals should be an anti-zombie or anti-relic cat, so PONOS can either push the older players into doing them or PONOS can allow the newbies to continue on their zombie outbreak journey. Or they just could add a cat for every completed z-medal set, idk.
So basically you just get free cat food by the hundreds without waiting (Excluding energy wait time)? That is just ... the best idea I have ever heard, I agree.
What is your opinion on xp grinding is it also repetitive and boring? Can it stall you out for a good amount of time before you can progress in the game again (for example user rank 3600 for level 30 crazed)?
I have gone through most late game with level 30 crazed but now a lot has changed for example octopus now exist and other gacha true forms that are rather powerfull before I had no octopus on darkweb and I barely made it through with level 20 crazed but I kinda think all xp stages are boring (except for xp colosseum because I can quickly clear it with bomber and get a huge amount of xp) and then looking at sweet xp insane gives you about 300k xp 500k with the xp powerup (which also requires you to make sure you grind the powerup so you get that little bonus). Also the other stages take longer then speedrunning xp colloseum. With xp colosseum I'm using a cool gimmick with bomber. In the others like megablitz I spam my attackers braindead until they drop dead after 8 min but I guess this really doesn't matter because you only can play them once because they cost 500 energy. Maybe I'm looking at it like: oh I can only put in like 5 levels in a unit per clear (more if the unit is lower leveled) so that makes it seem like to me that it is not rewarding. And here I end this incorrect rant on the xp stages (I probally wrote this because I'm a dirty lazy glitching whore that wants his xp colosseum REEEEEE)
I wish that outbreaks would come out like every 5-10 minutes starting in Korea up to the moon after you complete all the levels in the chapter on top of guaranteeing a superior treasure upon completion. And for ITF its double the time and guarantees a normal. And for COM it's double the time again and guarantees a inferior
Do you think no continue stages are a big? It’s not fair to fuck up once and be unable to restart and try again while also wasting like 200 energy. Which is why I’m stuck on Floor 30 and An Ancient Curse
This is so late but um i suggest that the Z medals is like an item when u collect enough u can exchange them for catfood or your own treasure festival which u can choose which chapter to activate on and whem to activate
As a new player myself and I am on chapter 3 now, I used to play battle cats before quitting because I couldn’t beat chapter 2 moon.. I never knew about he treasures thing. When I came back to battle cats it’s either farm treasures or you never win. Farming treasures is the worst mechanic in the game and I never had fun with the game until grinding hours of my life repeating the same stages while watching RU-vid waiting for cat energy. They should just remove the treasure system entirely or rework it, I personally would think reworking it is easier and my idea is just to give a 100 percent chance of inferior, 50 for sliver, and 25 for gold. BUT, if I already have inferior on a stage, beating it will give a 100 percent to upgrade it to the next medal, and 50 percent for superior. Would make treasure grinding for new players easier and they could get hooked up with the game.
I have to agree. The rng treasures and unnecessarily difficult to obtain medals are dumb. I'm a somewhat new player who has just gotten into EoC3 and ItF1. Im stuck on Machu in EoC3 and Cambodia ItF1, simply due to my lack of treasures in said chapters along with EoC 2. Its gotten to a point to where I'll only log on for daily rewards, check for a treasure festival, then log off if there isnt one. Hell half the time the treasure festivals do shit for me and I only get a bunch of inferiors, a few normal, and maybe one or two superior at most
Z medals should increase damage against zombies to act as their own type of treasure. I don’t do any outbreaks until I beat an entire storyline. Outbreaks get so much harder in itf because of the mixture of aliens and zombies.
for some reason I don't really mind treasure grinding,I mean okay its not like I grind it ALL the time whenever theres a treasure festival I just sorta grind it whenever I want and stop whenever I want.
you can get 10 cat food per stage so its kinda useful if you want to get loads of cat food for stuff, i mainly used them to get 750 cat food then i open 11 capsules rare
The way to fix it is by clearing a singular zombie stage it gives you a buff on that stage instead of having to clear like 6 different ones to get the buff. If this was then you would be able to get buffed rates before having like 30 total zmedals in a world.
I’ve actually used the Z medal boosts. I got Alaska in chapter one as an outbreak. Alaska only has one level in the set, so I instantly got the Alaska medal, which I was pretty grateful for in chapter 3 alaska
Well i can said the outbreaks are just for "Práctice" Units vs zombies because in event stages zombies will become a big headhache and...Yes free cat food right?
Funny story, I am currently doing the Z medals for getting the quarantine zones and surprisingly enough I got almost all the superior treasures while doing the outbreaks, which basically defeats the purpose for me.
i only did outbreaks for the free 10 cat food, but they should make it so that once you complete a chapter of outbreaks it should give you a 10% higher chance for treasures in all chapters at least
Ebf music :DDDDD but btw the treasure aren’t so bad They force you to replay the stage: But it gives you EXP, Cat food And if you play into the future: By replaying the stages you can collect the items/EXP from points But i don’t farm it without the treasure festival But i think you right about the RNG for the outbreaks I would like to choose between outbreaks and normal level Like the cats, you can switch from basic to upgrade to true form And also when you finish the outbreaks you can’t play them again.. So yeah that’s all! :D Have fun and continue your work (even if this video exist for 1 year now XD :D..) Then: Stories Of Legend OuTbReAkS
I actually only have around 1/3 of EoC treasures even though i'm on Galapa-Goth right now and I also do outbreaks pretty often, so I actually benefit from the increased treasure drop rate. I still think outbreaks should appear more often and be easier for early game players though.
Your cats are severely weakened by not having most EoC treasures. Infact the multiplier gets to 250% for cat stats from all treasures. Massive uber carry to do well in the game. Like how tf did you do darkweb with only 1/3 of eoc treasure?
It was less of a ubercarry and more of a super rare carry cause i used icat and bombercat with freeze combos and a bahamut with manic eraser. I got godly RNG with the dober though.
