Thanks, that has been hanging in the game room for sometime now. One of my favorite battles and really happy Triumph lets me play this battle out in miniature.
At 49:05, the Normans could have group moved to lineup next to the JavCav in ZoC of the Saxon battle line and could have done that with the entire battle line for only 1 pip.
Good catch Otto, you are correct. They could have moved forward and then aligned for free because they were within 2MU of the enemy. Usually people apply that when closing into combat, but t it works when within 2 MU of an enemy as well.
