The footage you showed for 'Simulator' was actually 'Realistic', which is a mid-point between Arcade and Simulator. Also, don't feed the Snail. Gaijin games are like gambling addictions, except there is no chance of winning your money back.
Those Wagner troops very briefly felt kinship with the spirit of a whale visited by the ghosts of RFK Jr Past, Present and Chainsaw. They then denounced the whale as a gay Ukrainian Nazi.
Russia: We have no troops in the area. America: I can confirm you have no troops that are alive in the area. Russia: … America: So do you want these bodies?
The Lockheed C-130 is the aircraft that keeps giving, apparently forever. The first one came out in 1951, it's flown by every branch of the Military including the Coast Guard, and thousands have been sold to other countries. It must be the most successful military aircraft ever.
someone on youtube comments once replied to me asking me what on earth will US soldiers do against real combat veterans like Russians...i was like, well, delete them.
Same as Russians would do against even-more-real combat veterans, like an 11th century Jomsviking warband. Technology and the ability to use it are way more important of a metric than how many times a soldier has had to face death.
Wagner didn’t know that the site they attacked was full of Tier One units - Delta and 24th STS. Two JTACs were present at this location. One Combat Controller and one Tactical Air Control Party member had a field day that evening/night. It was quite literally the easiest but most intense operation I had been part of.
I’m a Canadian but I feel you boys fight for our freedom as well thank you for your service! You’re a bad ass son of a bitch !!!! Did you ever work with JTF2 ?
@@spencertrueman865 Nothing I have said is classified. JTF2 rarely confirms deployments/engagements of JTF2. We have worked with JTF2 from June 2014 ~ July 2017 in Iraq. Because I was a SOF JTAC, I got shifted around to many units of allied nations. Most JTF2 snipers were JTAC qualified, so I wouldn’t be needed. I do work with former JTF2 in executive protection currently.
@@mrbad3036 Ya, they were raised and told that Chernobyl (or any other blunder) was exaggerated by the West and wasn’t really bad. During the beginning of the Ukraine invasion, Russian troops entrenched in the red forest (turned red by radiation). They all had to be evacuated to Belarus and hospitalized for radiation poisoning.
@@carlwheezer623 The US is the one that destabilizes half the time. All we had to do was support the Syrian governments war on terrorism when it first started and boom, ISIS wouldn't have existed. Instead, we did the opposite.
The best thing that came out of this was the meme After the US strike in they reached out to the Russians and said you were right there are no Russians in the area 😂
It's always fun to dunk on the Russians and important to recognize and appreciate the overwhelming power of US military capabilities but can we all take a minute to appreciate the Kurdish volunteers in unarmored trucks who followed and decided to stay? That's some legendary ride or die shit right there.
The Kurds have always been our greatest, staunchest allies in the area. They have proven time and time again to be excellent and loyal fighters against terrorism. Steel balls.
The fact a mercenary company thought they could interrupt literarally every single special forces unit the US had on that side of the hemisphere is hilarious
I mean, they could have. It was only 30 men, and they had 300, had them pinned down, and where about to bring in tanks. The trouble was the air support. Which when you're fighting US troops, you should always take into account
This instance is a textbook example of American policy: “hey, here is a line neither of us will cross” “Why? You worried what we might do?” “No. I’m worried what I WILL do.”
@@brandanpalmer9712 I know F-22 are relatively normal people, but I just imagine the first time someone is stupid enough to not go home (Iran cough cough) that they are just as sycophantic as HLC’s F-22 bit
The Russians turned off their surface-to-air batteries for one reason. The US CENTCOM commander told the Russian commander in Syria "you turn them off, or I'll do it for you".
Ukraine is able to take more land in a month than what Russia can take in a year. Ukraine. A mostly Soviet era fighting force. Wtf are the Russians going to do against an F-22, F-35, B-2, or B-21? Well, other than die
I can't even imagine the absolute terror of being on the receiving end of multiple Apache's and a gunship. Humanity has built some scary killing machines. 😳
@@kyledabearsfan The Brits standing military is laughable. It's like 80,000 combined troops from all branches. And you're locking all your citizens up for speech. You guys couldn't bring anything to the table except for elbows and a pretentious culture. Britains time has long since passed. Even Ukraine has more power and experience than you in conventional warfare now.. ✌
They perform a similar role to SF, if not the exact same role. Direct action raids, partner force training, and generally being Russian's hidden arm in places they'd rather not talk about too much. They just aren't supported by their parent government to the same extent US SF are. Does that mean they are at the same level of expertise? Who knows. But considering they were in Syria, they were literally Russia's counterpart to US forces, doing the same anti-ISIS and anti-partner force missions.
Keep up the great work Simon (and team)! I seem to recall an early version of warographics where Simon was concerned this type of channel, providing updates on current conflicts and a perspective on Foreign Affairs, might not be something that would be monetisable through the yt algorithm. (perhaps i am misrecalling?). But this vid has been up 1hr, and it has 14k views (about to hit 15k whilst typing this ...), 1.4k updoots, and 167 comments. and the channel has a measly ( /s) 950k subs Keep up the great work, and thankyou :)
We're going to be attacking: Rangers, Green Berrets, an Elite Parachute regiment and fucking Delta Force supported by a savant air combat controller. Me: Nah fuck that, choose a different refinery.
What American is afraid of Russia? Some of us heavily armed cirizens are secretly hoping Russia is stupid enough to try to take Alaska back so we can teach the world what the 2nd amendment is actually about.
The worst of it is, is the Wagner guys are the best troops the Russians can field as the Ukrainian war has repeatedly shown. The very best they had got tasked with taking an airport in Ukraine early in the invasion.. with disgusting bad support. They got worse then mearly hammered. Anyone else remember the reportage of that cluster f***? Love to hear more details on what happened there.
Even when the Russians and Syrians opened fire, the Americans held most of theirs just to give their enemy a few more minutes to go home and rethink their lives... "You are now fucking around... Are you sure you want to find out?" "Da!" "Na'am!" "... *sigh* 'ight then, commence Operation 'Let Them Find Out'."
I feel like it would be almost too gratuitous for a movie. Not like 13 hours or black hawk down where they were up against it. After the initial anxiety it was basically 4th of July on the ground.
Depending on your prespective, it's either a action movie about how the Americans won with inferior number with their fancy equipment, or a horror movie about how the Russians and Syrians were brutally massacred, even though they started it.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I am 100% agreeing with the conclusion. The only message Russia understands is force. A negociation is a sign of weakness for them and thus calls for agression
Imagine how the person who gave the order to attack the best soldiers the US has to offer must have felt after (if he was alive). That is one thing about Americans in war. They may not outnumber you but their planes will level the battlefield real quick.
Today I learned that there is such a thing as military special forces air traffic controllers. Makes sense now that I think about it. And they're not what Hollywood makes them seem, some nerd in a polo shirt and khakis with a headset on staring at a radar screen 1000 miles away from the battlefield. No these are soldiers in full gear and fully armed, with a mobile ATC system and they're among the first to be on the battlefield itself. Huh.
Foward air controllers ... if you want to know more aboit them ... and yes they are as special as they come ... like artillery observers but even a bit more so as some of them are pilots doing double duty bc they know both perspectives ... its bound to be a good profile of those people on YT
America is nATO but I still won't think that these other nato members won't kick ass cuz they still got America technology and Russia was never ever going to beat America in a war we still got special access projects that will blow your mind
At some point, it stopped being a battle and it started to become target practice. 😅 And if there was a sign not to fvck with anyone? That explanation starts at 09:14 of the video. 😂
Just a more modern-day take on *vermin elimination* ...who's name also happened to be Wagner. A big Bravo Zulu to a certain AC-130 crew who may or may not have been in the region at the time..
Love The history lesson and analysis. Please bring that expertise to a analysis video going over the first and second attended assassinations of Donald Trump. Please!
