Those who fought in WW 2, regardless of their creed, were real men facing equal enemies. But Pentagon panties in the war against Iraq and other 3rd world countries, don't even come close to being called a "soldier". Why are those panties so shy of going to Ukraine to defend "democracy" as they always claimed to be the reason for their aggression? Because Russia is too powerful for them to even think of confrontation.🤣

I had a family relative die during the battle of the bulge. This is the story as told by my grandfather. My grandfather was taking a colonel to a meeting near the front when he passed his brother as he marched to the front line. The two of them waved at each other. When my grandfather dropped the colonel off at the meeting he requested permission to go see his brother and was granted it. By the time my grandfather got to the front line his brother had already been killed. He never told me how his brother died but I'm guessing he was shot by a German. The only thing I know is he's berried in Belgium where his grave is well taken care of by the wonderful Belgium people.

I lived in Belgium for 3 years and the battle of the Ardennes (as they call it ) was the best thing that happened there. The whole area is one big museum with tanks, anti aircraft, half tracks, and every other piece of military equipment was parked all over. We went every year with the boys scouts and one year we went the same time of year and they had the same weather as during the war. It was brutal.

The prevalent way of thinking when I was in the service was, "If my numbers up, it's up." Nothing you can do about it. Might as well be ready to accept it if it comes. You certainly don't want to die and you know you'll miss your friends and loved ones, but like that guy said the world will still go on after you're gone. When the shit hits the fan you just revert to your training and do what you're supposed to do. That's it. You don't think about dying.

Thousands of individual unknown acts were responsible for the overall success in the Ardennes. Yet one major aspect, which was barely mentioned, was the extreme gas shortage facing the Germans. A huge aspect of the attack was to seize gas depots set up in Belgium, which thankfully never occurred due to hundreds, if not thousands, of delaying actions performed by small groups of soldiers. Upon retreat, the Germans simply walked away from tanks, trucks and basically anything requiring gas. Multitudes retreated on foot. The fact of the Allied supply chain - with obvious hiccups - was one of the decisive factors in this victory. In addition, owning the skies and the ability of the common soldier to take and make critical stands at the most incredible time of needs, all added to this turn around of events.

My friend Jim Forsythe, now deceased, was in the 106th Div. 424 Reg. Co. A and stationed in Winterspelt when the Germans attacked on Dec 16th, 1944. His entire unit was overrun by large numbers of Germans and most od hias friends were killed in the short ferocious battle that followed. He was one of twelve from his company that survived and was captured. Captivity was brutal and many died before the war ended. He, years later, wrote his memoirs regarding his experiences in the Battle of the Bulge. He and so many other are American heroes. One issue, of many, he did relate to me was that days before the Germans attacked they could hear lots of German armor and mechanized vehicles assembling. When they reported this, they were told not to worry because the brass knew what they were doing! It wasn't for them to worry about. Like so many things this whole battle could have been mitigated and many lives saved if someone was just willing to listen.

Best actual film footage documentary of WWII ever ensembles. Capturing the facial expressions of the men of both apposing Armies. Not to leave out the French civilians. I wonder how many Soldiers have seen themselves in actual film footage? I was captured by a CNN camera man in Somalia on a routine daytime patrol. Nothing much happened, I was told to cover the left flank. I knew the camera was covering me because I was the only one moving. I hotdogged with my tactical movements. I don’t think I looked at the camera as far as I remember. The platoon Sergeant kind of made a noise, like I over acted in my tactical movements. I looked back at him without speaking but I expressed disapproval with his comment. As time progresses I developed distain for him and a few of his demented men. Anyway, I never seen any camera footage from Somalia. I think I will search for some, seems like everything else has been uploaded…

_Time after time during the Battle of the Bulge German soldiers outfought their American opponents. They were not supermen. They blundered, probably about as often as the Americans. And there seems little doubt that the best of the Americans were every bit as good as the best of the Germans. Furthermore, the Americans won the battle and, eventually, the war. Yet at the height of the battle for Bastogne, on 4 January 1945, General Patton wrote in his diary: "We can still lose this war….The Germans are colder and hungrier than we are, but they fight better."_ -Trevor N. The "Greatest Generation?" Only in the East, in the One theater of the War that was the Only they had a Right to be in . . . as they Actually Did Officially Declare War on the U.S. at least 6 days prior, about Dec.1st as verified by a cable sent to Washington, D.C. from an Australian Intelligence Agency Warning of a Huge Japanese Naval Flotilla headed East toward Hawaii . . . but that 'Immediate Attention' report went missing like the two from the Japanese Emperor sent the same time and same day 2 or 3 days before or were buried under the stack of "Inbox" important, 'Read Immediately' set up on FDR's desk by his Aide (Harry Hopkins(?)), yeah, the Pacific Theater against the Japanese NOT in Europe where once again the British, American and most of the French and other (Men of the Stone Club who were 'All In' on it too) were Suckered into another War Against Germany. Hitler and the German Reich were a Blessing for Western Civilization but that was All Hidden Away, with a Little Help from their Friends in the Publishing Houses, Banks, Royals . . . by those who were the First to openly Declare their "Holy War" Against Germany in 1933 Not '39' and bought, bribed, threatened and blackmailed etc, what became the "All-Lies" as that little Club of men: Roosevelt, Churchill, de Gaulle and Stalin whose 'Club' title would suggest tough, rugged Men who built Castles and Thick Stone Walls but actually built None at all but Germany went 'All In' to try and Save Europe and Only wanted to make sure the Bolshevik's didn't Occupy & Corrupt one more foot of Europe with Hitler still pleading a "Appeal to Reason" in 1940 when the BEF, French and Belgiun Troops of almost 400,000 were spared by Germany at Dunkirk till June 26 when Humanities Traitor Winston Churchill showed his appreciation for Hitler's humaitarian gesture with the reply to his latest "Plea for Peace" with: "Nothing but Complete UnConditional Surrender would be accepted by her Majety" which achieved the desired and expected response by the which was an Immediate resumption of the Panzer Corp's. advance to the Beach and World War Two was Officially Under Way and that began the clock ticking toward the End of the British Empire, Germany with Half of Europe under Soviet Control, Patton Murdered because he Couldn't Keep his mouth Shut and the NWO almost has achieved it's World Communist Goal and the World IS In Real Trouble!!

Brave Rifles? 12000 yankees surrenderd as soon as the Germans showed up? Germans ran out fuel, then the Yanks called in air power to win it. The Yanks deserted in droves in the Hurtgen forest around the same time. One German was worth 10 Yankees.

The Germans effectively lost the battle in the first four days when the "elite" SS panzer army couldn't push through the Elsenborn ridge. Read Steven Zaloga's "Smashing Hitler's Panzers". Jerry lost this battle on tactical terms, running out of fuel just came later.
