John Stamos has impressive drum skills . As a Beach Boys purist , ie the original band and Brian's band 22 times , just dropping in here cuz I got this on my RU-vid feed. Entertaining segment here between two long time friends .And John Stamos gets criticized for his drumming , however I saw nothing wrong . And he is a good guy IMHO .

And Mike Love just happened to have written the lyrics to most of their hits. It's totally OK for him to be singing BB songs. May not be the "Beach Boys" but Mike Love is legit
@@steveskouson9620 John Stamos basically took over the drummer role for the band after Dennis's unfortunate death , John has been playing for them since Dennis passed away he was the drummer for the band and the writer of the song FOREVER that John Stamos made famous.

I met Mike Love and was surprised what what a nice and friendly guy he was, taking a lot if time to talk to his fans, sign albuns, and take pictures with them. Stamos is on one big ego trip and doesn't even deserve to be on the same stage as John Cowsill. He doesn't even come close to playing drums in the Beach Boys mould.
I think John is an ego Person, yes. But: he plays with the beach boys since the 80s, here's probably a musical reason for that. He wasnt famous when he started doing Drums for them

pearlstream people hate him because he ruined the Beach Boys. at their height they were better than the Beatles, not Beatles LITE. Beach Boys had Brian Wilson, the Beatles had John, Paul, George and George Martin. it wasn't even a fair fight and still Pet Sounds is a better album than anything the Beatles have ever done. the proof is in the pudding. look at Wilson's writing without Love and Loves writing without Wilson...it's easy to see Brian was the brains

No fan of the Beach Boy's music has ever just declared Mike Love to be an asshole. It's a title he's worked hard to earn ever since the early 60s. His ego/narcissism is the only thing bad about their band or music. He was never one of a group/band. He always must be seen as the Star of the Show, as unentertaining as he is.

However, there are some similarities. For example, both befriended murderous psychopaths. Dennis Wilson was famously friends with Charlie Manson who was convicted of first-degree murder in 1971. Stamos, likewise, is friends with a man named Bob Saget who raped and murdered a young girl in 1990.

Yep, the man who wrote the lyrics to most of the Beach Boys songs collaborating with Brian Wilson. The one that sang lead on many hits and graciously gave lead to his cousin Carl Wilson on songs he wrote, a founding member of the Beach Boys. The one who played saxophone early on, but then didn't need to play an instrument, Yep that douche.
