Loved how Sugar stood up for Marcus, it was awesome

I remember after watching this episode, I thought so far the season was going well. The only one I had trouble getting behind was episode 3. Otherwise, I feel like one thing this show always had going for it is its slice of life quality to it. Sometimes it doesn’t feel like anything big happened. But there are a lot of nuggets laid out that either have a path later or are added to one from before. Uncle Jimmy is a perfect example here. When he talked with Syd, he talked to he spoke to her like a family member. Doubly so because of the way he asked her if he’s doing enough, in which she tells him that it means something because he’s here. It’s also a callback to his conversation with Carmy in S1E4 when Uncle Jimmy had a dream about Carmy’s dad and that he was just gone and Uncle Jimmy was there. Also, gotta keep giving this to Ritchie on his growth from season 1. Forks in S2 with Chef Terry and her team was a real point of self respect and growth for him. it reflects in how much he’s taking his position seriously in The Bear and how he hates having his area altered without his permission from Carmy, a seemingly growing dilemma with everyone vs Carmy. Yeah, the review is haunting him like it is everyone else, but it is pushing him. And can we have Sugar be a moderator for a presidential debate or something? The amount of information she absorbs and learns as she started to work here is wild. While far along in her pregnancy, mind you. The amount of addressing on all concerns from every person gets addressed from her and she knows how to bring it up with whom. Which is why I was cheering when she verbally whipped Computer when he pushed to fire Marcus. And I know this was something that probably needed to be done privately, but if he remotely brought it up at the earlier gather, which Marcus wasn’t there mind you, he wouldn’t have left that kitchen alive. I think the first two seasons had some clear goals set because the Bear wasn’t born and open yet. The first season was holding the Beef together, the second was hauling ass to get The Bear together. This is the first season that they’re tackling them as a realized dream, an open restaurant. And there’s so many pieces here and there that go with it. And side note, John Cena was the last person I expected to see in this show. But he was perfect as a Fak bro.
