Dry winds of a high pressure system in Siberia are blown across Britain from the north-east. This air stream meets a warmer, Atlantic, low pressure system, bearing moist air from the south-west. When the rain-bearing depression meets the cold air, it rises, condenses and the rain freezes into snow. This video is dedicated to my friends who have never seen snow.
