If you want to see just why this game is perhaps the biggest and most unlikely upset in NFL history, take a look at the 2010 Seahawks and their schedule-they played against a *WEAK* NFC West and an average AFC West, and they lost every game by more than 15 points. These Saints, who were the defending Super Bowl champions at the time, pretty much went one-and-done to a rebuilding team that usually would have finished 3-13 or 4-12 in any other season!
Pete Carroll 2010: watches Beast Mode make the greatest run of all time. Pete Carroll 2015: Would rather risk a interception near the goal line to make Wilson the hero than let him run it with 3 chances to get a few yards.
I haven't slept for 3 night because of that stupid call by the offensive coordinator as a result we lost an opportunity to be back to back champions for 2014 & 2015.
Funny how Seattle won the game but gutted this roster after the season. Their eventual "dynasty" years started here basically with Lynch, the secondary and Pete Carroll.
@Jonathan Dee The One And Only 2006*-2010 maybe. They had 2 playoff teams in 03 and 04, Hawks went to the SB in 2005, and the Cards went in 08. Then the 9ers went 13-3 in 2011. Could’ve been worse
The game was played at Qwest Field (now known as Lumen Field) in Seattle, Washington. The game took place on Saturday, January 8th, 2011, at 4:35pm pacific daylight time. The game is nicknamed the beast quake
It's interesting to see Matt Hasselbeck and Lofa Tatupu with Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, and Marshawn Lynch. The two Superbowl groups had some overlap in there.
Drew Brees and Aaron Rogers have both choked pretty hard in the playoffs since winning their only SBs. This definitely was not on Brees, giving his team 36 points, but the pick in OT against the Rams absolutely was all on him.
@@gabrielvergarasanmartin5233 Sounds a convenient excuse why they always come up short. Look its team sport no doubt, but great player win in spite of their defense. Brady won 30 playoff games with great defenses early and pretty lousy ones later. He's mounted plenty of comebacks in games the Patriots should have lost. You win because you do more with what you have. Brady didn't play a single snap on defense but you better believe the Patriots turned it up on defense when they felt like Brady could work some magic. SB49 and 51 are perfect examples of that. Any given Sunday. Any team can beat any other if they're on the field to play and even Eli Manning did that more than Brees/Rogers when it matter most in the playoffs.
Brees was EPIC, stop talking garbage. Over 400 yards and 2 TDS plus 36 points in the road? When did Tom Brady do that? And still lost, obviously Saints defense radically sucks in case you didn’t watch the highlights
Yeah having him on that team with a young Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor I think really helped get them started in the right direction. He was a huge leader on that team and I think his influence gets overlooked.
Deion Sanders: Good flag. You can't go through the receiver Patriots Malcom Butler should have been flagged!!! Never seen a DB go through the WR so bad to get to the ball!
@@christianchappell4193 It's bad enough that the Team that finished 2nd in their division behind the Falcons with a better record than seattle has to play on the road.... not to mention they were the defending Super Bowl Champs while Seattle didn't even make the Playoffs in 2009
Seahawks should not have hosted this playoff game much less qualify for the playoffs with a 7-9 record. Plain and simple. Home field ADVANTAGE is a privilege and shouldn’t be given to a team for winning a shitty division with no team better than 7-9.
@@christianchappell4193 7-9 is awful. Terrible. This is literally the worst playoff team ever by point differential. They lost like all of their games by 10+ points. Everyone thinks this team was awful because they were. Fortunate enough to play a choking Saints team in the playoffs
@@martavion873 when we got cheated in 2018?? While yall were at home watching us. Matter fact when was the last time yall beat us?? Oh yea 10 years ago.
