I remember 1980 I was 13, moved to a new town (again) then my parents split up. The Beatles were my best friends at that time. It was all Beatles. I remember finding that Help was playing on TV...wow...that was a rare event. then John died... Then I met a women who owned antique store who was a Beatle fanatic I had some Beatle pictures and books that we traded for some of the duplicate stuff she had....as well as some cool Monkee 45’s w picture sleeves. She has a whole room in her home that was full of great stuff. I ended up meeting and making friends, and one to this day is a best friend...because we were Beatle fanatics...thanks for letting me ramble on, but your comment hit the mark....and by the way , I never cared for Let it Be as a movie because it signaled The End.
I can't get enough of the Beatles. The release of Beatles Get Back is the media event of the Century. It is ALMOST as good as a Beatles reunion. I want to be a part of this event before, during, and after. I am just soaking it all in.
i remember when i was young 7os they beatles fans whould say they have archived non released beatles songs that could last 5o years i did not believe the hype i was wrong
For many of us in America, this seemed like random people getting in front of the background to have their picture taken, although I did recognize a few of the faces. But if I had been playing a drinking game, taking a shot for everyone I didn't know, I would be wasted. But I am looking forward to this series! The original 'Let It Be' was quite the downer.
Feel good time is here again, the snippet-montage Peter Jackson gave us last year has U-turned the notion of the Let It Be film and I can't wait to see this "a documentary about a documentary"
I also found many scenes interesting and useful. For example, it turned out that Paul and George didn't have a conflict, and the fight was invented by Paul in the original cut of the film. But I talk about the film as a finished work of art. I'm missing information and meaning here. Every film, including a documentary, has a specific purpose. At the same time, if you see only a set of details in this project, then you want it to be released in its entirety.
George's son obviously sticking up for his dad , didn't mention him.not wanting to sing any of his songs when the narrative for so long has been The Beatles rejected his songs but in reality George didn't have the confidence to do them live. John was even on lead guitar on the roof. Hey I love George I do but it was always suggested he was unappreciated and also didn't have anything to do with the split when they all were, they just grew up that's all. Greatest of all time .
@@nickdubesa8068 I'm not sure if it was because John wanted to or George didn't fancy it with the songs being Paul and John's songs, I know George didn't fancy playing any of his own , also the 1 after 909 was the one first song John and Paul wrote and performed and maybe John always played lead on that song I'm not sure, but ye he was OK but you could see him at the end of gig opening and closing his hand and grimacing as if his fingers were aching haha. Just Legend's.
@@jefffoster1010 yeah that makes sense... I never thought to look up other songs John played lead on, it is rough holding it down if it’s not your thing, rhythm is a lot more natural. I’m sure Lennon could be good at lead if he needed to be. I think he is purely a songwriter and less an instrumentalist, where Paul leans a little more toward technical skill but writes with less feeling somehow. It’s difficult to judge, Lennon is just special though and I’m sure was good at a lot. They are absolute legends yes. On another level.
@@nickdubesa8068 ye Paul was and is still a really talented and could play a lot of instruments well even the drums but nothing compares to The Beatles together , I like the solo stuff but I love The Beatles.
1969 it was a very good year from the Beatles on the roof! the Stones & Blind Faith in the Park. every other Band you can think of was in the Roundhouse or the midnight court Sunday all nighter at the Lyceum ..Cup of Tea 6am in covent garden..

Get back baby!!!!! 40 now but so what!!!!! 😆🤣😂 I feel like I'm 10 again listening to the first couple of cassette tapes of the Beatles that my Dad bought me! I think the names were Rock n Roll and Beatles Love songs...... both on cassette. Then I found a couple of old vinyl records that belonged to my Uncle that he gave my father to keep in the basement of my parents house. My uncle never did pick them back up. 😆 one Vinyl record was called the Complete Beatles Story. Ahhh the memories. 😉

It was strange as later in the video, he said the song let it be always gets him. Maybe he was referring to the Spector versions being overblown vs stripped down ones?
@@LUFC123 oh, I agree, I can’t find fault with anything they have done throughout their relatively short career. It’s so great how they really have across the board appeal 50 yrs later. I was just making the point that maybe Noel doesn’t like the Spector versions as he contradicts himself saying how doesn’t like it, then says one of his favs?

Noel Gallagher is jealous because the Beatles are the best band in history and he likes to say Oasis are better than the Beatles. Him and his arrogant brother Liam must have been high when they said they were bigger than the Beatles. The Beatles are famous worldwide and Oasis was just a blip. There’s no comparison. The Beatles sold 600 million albums worldwide. Oasis sold 70 million.
