Hi. Try, My Sweet Lord. It’s not The Beatles but a solo number by the late George Harrison. It’s a beautiful song. Two songs I think are the most beautiful by The Beatles are, Yesterday & Hey Jude. Peace, from Australia.

John Lennon was murdered in 1978 by a nobody who wanted to be famous. George Harrison, the singer and writer of this song, died of cancer in 2001. The two surviving members, Paul McCartney (80) and Ringo Starr, aka Richard Starkey (81), are still going strong and still performing. All members had successful solo careers. As well as his music, George went into film production, producing the Monty Python films P.S. Hi!

THE BEATLES are considered to be the greatest musical group of all time. Who have sold more albums then any other artist in history. Over a half billion to date . EVEN THOUGHT they only together for about 7 years they changed modern music forever. DONT BELIEVE ME! Go to the internet and type in greatest musical Groupe and see what you come up with.

Also they didn't record an album until 1962 and we here in North America didn't really know about them until some time in 1963 and even then they weren't played on radio over here that much so not many people were aware of them until early 1964. So their recording career was from 1962 to 1970. Which adds up to 8 years and if you start counting from when their music was available on this side of the world it, technically, was 7 years. If you go by the moment when everybody was aware of them that was in 1964 when they debuted on The Ed Sullivan Show so that takes it down to 6 years. So the total time is 8 years but it was different here at 6 or 7 years.

@@ale16_69 Yes but when it had Lennon, Harrison, and McCartney I would consider them the Beatles . With Pete Best and others it was an apprenticeship. One of them ( I forgot which Beatle ) but said it but it was Hamburg that really forced them to learn their craft . There are other bands that had a different lineup in the beginning like say Deep Purple . Many people mistakenly think Ian Gillian was the first Singer but he wasn’t. It was Rod Evans . Anyway I guess it is up to the individual fan to determine the when . Like in modern times it is said “ Steve Perry made Journey . Arnel Pineda saved it .” I happen to agree but let me come back down to Earth . The Beatles are number 1 in my audiophile career and if you want to throw the solo albums in the mix there is nobody that tops them

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are still alive. They perform with their own bands, but they are very close, as they all were. Like brothers. John Lennon was shot and killed in 1980 by a deranged fan outside his home. George Harrison died of brain cancer in 2001. So sad. Both had their own bands. The Beatles got together as teenagers. They recorded for only 8 years and broke up. But they loved each other, and knew they would be considered “Beatles” forever!

😂 I loved watching your reaction to this video, Blessing. You picked an absolute gem. To answer your question, John was tragically assassinated in 1980 in front of his wife and his New York residence. George died of cancer in 2001. So this was a reenactment of the group performing in shadow. And the iconic image you mentioned is the cover of their final recorded album, "Abbey Road" in 1969. There was a subsequent Beatles release in 1970, "Let It Be," but it was recorded six months prior to Abbey Road. I loved seeing you react to my favorite band. ❤

The Beatles: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison (who wrote and sang this song), and Ringo Starr. Adorable reaction! This is just a video someone made from, like, a video game or something. With The Beatles, just listen to the stuff, don't worry about "watching" any videos (unless you want to watch a live clip or something). They have COUNTLESS songs to react to, classics all. They've been covered by virtually every major musical act you can think of, and every single song they ever put out has been covered, many of them hundreds of times. All their songs are catchy, but they are married to no particular style. The growth that you can hear in their music within just 7 years of putting out records is unmatched by anyone I can think of.

The Beatles--I've known them almost all my life (I was 6 when they first came to the US). Greatest of all time. Paul McCartney (bass/piano) and Ringo Starr (drums) are still with us. John Lennon (guitar) was shot to death outside his apartment building in NY City in 1980. George Harrison (guitar) died of cancer in 2001.

John was shot outside his apartment in New York , George Harrison was attacked and stabbed at his home but survived but later died of cancer , Paul McCartney is still alive and still touring at 80 years of age , also Ringo Starr is still alive and I believe still touring. Lennon and McCartney of The Beatles are the famous songwriters who wrote some of the most beautiful music that still listen to today . George Harrison was a wonderful songwriter and have some beautiful music and albums he was a very spiritual and was seeking knowledge all his life I suggest you take a look at some of George Harrison's music it is most beautiful and thought-provoking . I've followed The Beatles right from the beginning they were part of my growing up and now remain with me in old age every song has a memory for me it is heartwarming to see young people like yourself finding and listening and enjoying the Beatles

By the time this video was made, he and John Lennon were long deceased. But you feel their presence in the way this is shared. You only have about 240 amazing Beatles songs to select from, so it's a bit of a challenge to pick out a handful of winners. The Beatles were four Liverpool soloists who came together to create an incredible library of songs. Their early sound was created and honed in clubs in England and Hamburg, Germany in the early 1960s. Their music and harmonies grabbed and captivated the young folks of that time. I recommend listening to their Revolver, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Abbey Road albums at the very least. And, don't ignore their early work; With the Beatles and A Hard Days Night albums are an excellent introduction. (Watch their movie A Hard Days Night for a fun romp. Some have likened them to the Marx Brothers.)

The lead singer on this song was George Harrison . He died on 2001 of cancer . John lennon ( the one with glasses ) was murdered shooting by a crazy fan on 1980 . Paul Mc Cartney and Ringo Starr are still alive and continues to produce music . how to define Beatles ......is very hard because they produce so many gems , it exist 2 best of the red album ( 1962-1966 ) and the blue album ( 1967-1970 ) and , to start , you have a good idea of the music of the Beatles ......they did so many type of music , pop , love song , rock n roll , blues , ska , experimental music , world music .....after the breakup , each one produce music with sucess .... Lennon wrote one of the most famous ( you need to listen ) " Imagine" . Mc Cartney after the breakup , create a band with in wife , " Wings " from 1971 to 1980 and continues a solo carrier with a lot of sucess....i did duets with Stevie Wonder , Michael Jackson ( say say say ) ....his masterpiece are the album " band on the run" , "ram" or recently " egypt station" and "mc cartney 3 " ....sorry for my bad english

Only Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are still alive. John Lennon was murdered in front of his Dakota home in NYC in 1980 and George Harrison died of cancer in 2001. The pictures you see are among the last pictures ever taken of the Beatles in late summer/early fall 1969 before they broke up as a group. They all have really long hair and beards in these pictures, and even though they were all still in their late 20's (!) they all look like old souls in these pictures and look like they've lived a lot of life in those short years.

Anyway, I’m sure you’ve heard of Judy Garland and her rendition of “ somewhere over the rainbow” but now I am going to request that you react to 2 vocalists who perform this song in unbelievable UNIQUE renditions. Please RU-vid “ Israel over the rainbow( official tribute video. ) He was a legendary Hawaiian vocalist who weighed over 500 pounds and at one time 800 pounds and was losing weight but still it was too much for his heart to bare and he passed away in the 1970s in his 30s. The other is a female named “ Eva Cassidy” whose rendition is very similar to Israel that makes me believe she was influenced by him. RU-vid “ Eva Cassidy over the rainbow” You are really in for a treat here. Sadly, she also had terminal cancer and passed away also in her 30s. That’s it for today. OK, everything on film happened in the past. It’s not a live feed. Two of four Beatles have gone to the great beyond. But they live forever through their music. John Lennon was assassinated a few blocks from where I lived and worked in 1980. President Nixon’s administration was trying hard to deport John for years. They feared his influential opinions opposing things like unjustified wars. His death put an end to joyful era of creativity and a new awareness slowly began to emerge. A new Reagan administration in 1980 and the right wing ramped up an attempt to favor corporate interests over the average voter. Ever since, the right wing has been removing woman’s rights, voting rights, civil rights, restraints for police brutality, and defeating attempts to regulate guns ownership. While government subsidies to giant corporations escalated. The GOP march toward oligarchy and away from democracy continues. This includes labeling anyone with compassion as, “woke”. Rewriting history is right wing dream come true including banning history books, and punishing teachers. And enabling #45 to cheat, steal and commit crimes, including sedition, without accountability. (Written in April, 2023)
