Ha,ha! Yes. That is one of the expected clichés & devices. Many are silly but fun - like falling off cliffs and surviving the fall without a scratch, hanging onto the edge of a building with one hand and holding the heroine with the other. Falling into the water (with all those layers of fluffy gowns) and coming out dry. (I attribute that to the costume department demanding that their expensive embroidered costumes need to stay clean and not get ruined!) Also - and it seems nearly the only way to meet a potential husband - the gag of the girl tripping and the hero catching her just in time and then the couple locking eyes in astonishment. Silly it is true, but so much fun.🙄😎🥰🤪
Or they get stabbed in the gut - The very worst place to be stabbed due to the chance of perforating the bowel and ending up with peritonitis. It's usually fatal and a nasty way to die. - and merrily waltz away. Worst one I watched was the Sassy Princess where the ML got stabbed, and the FL - who was NOT injured - expected him to pick her up and give her a piggyback ride, because she was tired of walking. He was bleeding out all over the place and yet she expected to be carried. And he did!
That and bleeding from the mouth. Get kicked in the leg? Bleed from the mouth. Hit the ground hard? Bleed from the mouth. Cut your hair? Total mouth bleed 🤣
Wkwkwkw. I dunno which one was the best, the medicine at that era or modern days? Divine pills as antidote even in a coma. Did not the patient get choked? And perhaps, the ancient people bodies were healthier and stronger than current.

The music is beautiful, the story is good - with a sweet tone, much of the film art is mesmerizing & the action is OK .... however I can't help but laugh at this scene. Sorry, I don't mean to be picky - I love these dramas! OMG they have matching arrow injuries - how romantic ! Oh, dear - she is given a pill while unconscious and the doctor just pulls the arrow out causing more injury - she bled a lot meaning it had hit a blood vessel! LOL! Good blood splatter throughout film. LOL!
Ok so she had been shot previously with an arrow saving him, it’s the second time. Not sure about blood but I’m sure that if you have an object stopping the bleeding when it’s pulled out it will cause bleeding all over again that’s just logic, but like you said since no blood vessels where hit not much bleeding so it would not be a massive amount. That seems like what happened.
@@elizabethgordon4126 Well, they can't just leave it in. It's not like they can take X-rays and try to determine if it's safer to remove it or leave it where it is. It's not a gun bullet, and they don't have modern medicine. Either the arrow comes out so they can treat the wound, or they leave it and it becomes infected. What do you want them to do?

"For a doctor is a man worth many others - cutting out arrows and applying soothing remedies.- Homer, Iliad XI.514-15" The common remedy in ancient times was to cut out or probe the arrow out as an arrowhead may detach from the shaft when pulled. Also if it is pulled the chances of bleeding out are high unless immediate pressure & styptic drugs can stanch the bleeding. The shaft can be pulled if the doctor does not think it has been detached from the arrowhead. After removal the doctor will use salves with herbs & honey to draw out either the arrowhead and/or the infection and allow the wound to drain. 😳😳 And yes, this is just all pretend and silly. I am not bothered by it. My original comment was that the protagonists both get shot in the shoulder at about the same time and that struck me as funny as well as melodramatically romantic & silly. It made me laugh. 🤪Maybe my sense of humor is too dark.🙄 Though truly I like happy endings best - in fact I avoid the tragic endings if forewarned. 😪
Okay yeah she’s injured. So is he. Where he’s injured? I don’t know how many people here ride or have ridden a horse but directing a horse at speed with an arrow sticking out of your bicep? Carrying a full grown woman with the arrow still in the muscle?Not happening! Unless it hit armor, that I will concede. But if he isn’t wearing armor where that arrow hit, they would both be captured and dead long before poison got to work.
