Bee gees unedited promotional video from 31st August 1987 .Called an EPK (electronic press kit) Recorded by artists to promote albums these are not intended for media use so there usually never broadcast on TV. Its nice to share.
Wow. They had many years in 1987 !! That was over 35 years ago !! Year I graduated. My first love was their music and Andy SO I grew up with them and they will always have a HUGE space on my heart. Crazy since I don’t even know them ! Their music and the way they are seems like you’ve known them forever !! Now that’s talent !! Not a lot of bands have FIVE DECADES!
at least I mean that on Robin Maurice and Andy's behalf and their parent's behalf because Barry lived a long time for 75 years and his two brothers one lived for 62 years and 53 years and the youngest brother Andy lived for 30 years and I wish they could have lived as long as Barry and never Died 😢😪🤧😭😩💔💘💕❤️
And wow what music we still got but id rather have twins back too. They the most important to have n barry too. People shud just get it, best ever to grace this planet.❤❤❤
Robin was incredibly cool Robins voice as usual was so amazing. There will be another band as great as them. Just like there will never be another voice ever that could compare to Robins.
Everyone has their opinion on who had the best voice. I liked Robin’s voice better than Barry’s but that isn’t saying I didn’t like Barry. I liked all three of them together they were the best.
Love Barry's response about ability to survive & thrive: very firm family base & be happy at home. Think that's what kept Barry grounded; Mo most of the time & Robin hardly ever.
Three amazingly talented brothers that (no matter what...) were and still are always polite and humble...💖💖💖 Their music will live on indefinitely - and they're Legends that will never truly die... Sir Barry Gibb till going strong in 2020 - THANK YOU for that, Sir! 💙💛🌹💜🍎🇺🇸
🥀Amazing interview with so much information about how they lived in the music industry it can be hard and trying to keep on going to have so many albums. I love the Brothers Bee Gees🥀☝️
Barry forever the big brother. Is it just me, or is Robin just soooo incredibly cool? What body language:). Maurice keeping things level:). They were definitely “better together.”
I must learn not to read comments. I love these three brothers and their music so much, and it bothers me to see such nasty comments about Barry. :( Come on people, ,there are no Bee Gees if we don't have the three of them.
Thank you, I agree. Barry, being older, wanted to be a rock star early on. Then younger brothers said we do, too. They were a family first, and that was part of their strength.
These wonderful guys are our former neighbours and lived near us, and always been amazing multi talented gifted northern boys and wow singers n wow wow writers. Even as our kids from our neighbourhood in Manchester. We knew they'd be exceptional as talent U can't argue against, n wat we like was different than you all, not was they were extremely funny n fun n made us laugh so much in our street. N so down to earth humble just so nice lovely local lads, the best ul ever seen or hear ever, n we fiercely proud of them n all they achieved. N deserve the highest praise and acclaim. At a high level. Miss our mo n rob, n thank god for Barry for this world. The best for ever on this planet. Music great too. But loved them as our locals. ❤❤❤😍🥰😍👍👍👍😍🥰😍😁😁😁😇😇💔💔🥺🥺
Wow! They are so refined sweet souls! I love how they are so natural and honest and respectful towards themselves and the interlocutor. Love how they deal with frustration! Gosh the things they had to deal with! And they allways got out as winners! Just love can do this! Legends!
This is a very strange uncomfortable interview. The guys seem to be a bit touchy. Robin is gorgeous during this time of his life. I love him so much! His voice is exceptional! ❤️🌹❤️
They are touchy because this STUPID interviewer didn't have enough brains in his head to choose a quiet place for the talk (listen to the first several minutes) also he could have gotten up and talked to the people making noise and had them find another place to goof around. Very very amateurish of the interviewer.
The camera may have distorted their hands a bit; however, they had long hands and if you watch other videos it becomes apparent. I agree with the chest hair, the long hands and they are just gorgeous, secy MEN.
After reading thru the comments, in my opinion, I don't see tension between them at all. This is a really interesting, fun interview. Maybe it is the end of a long day or a bit of irritation with the interview location or something in the beginning but... I enjoyed their interaction and what they shared with us. It is fun to see the humor that is always so close to the surface with them. It is different to see the "behind the scenes" bits of this interview, the interruptions and distractions. And, of course they talk over each other, they work together, they have been together all their lives. Groups of close friends do it a lot, finishing each other's thoughts. They collaborate.
I agree -- it didn't seem tense. However, they did know this wasn't live TV and wouldn't be broadcast, so they didn't have to put on "you're on camera" faces and smiles. They had normal relaxed expressions. (Initial irritation at the background noise, yeah. And Maurice is the technical guy, so he was upset about that aspect.)
The Bros are pros at interviews. They were annoyed with the noise in the background and not with each other. Barry is the eldest and Always takes the lead. Robin is well known as being uneven emotionally and you see that he us in one of his "moods" here. The brothers often talk about that. Even Maurice spoke out over the people making noise in the background. These three loved each other and everyone spoke enough in this interview. I mean...come On.
Agreed they loved each other ! I didn't see any one mad at the other. I know people have there favorite. But Barry has been through enough without people trash talking him with his brothers.
darn let Maurice talk sometimes. he needs to jam in there like Robin does sometimes. love Barry too but he does dominate the interviews. habit i guess since he was older and they started to so young he had to be the spokesperson in early years, theyre all so nice
Igentenos. Thank you. It's exactly what i feel about it. Barry's dominating almost in all interviews. Once I saw interview and interviewer split the questions between brothers equally. He was asking Maurice, Robin and Barry certain questions. You can hear everybody and it was nice. Don't remember exactly who it was , may be somebody will remind me?
@@irinaarcher325 Yes Irina, I remember these two ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_VK4NhMUI68.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tX4_hwVuoYM.html
Oh just shut it about Barry talking too much. He talks just enough. If you like Barry you want to hear him talk. And what kind of nut wouodn’t like Barry?
Robin is so beautiful. love his humor too. The guy should have asked them about the super natural, see if they had any good stories. Bet they would have had a lot to say,
Freue mich immer auf die Jungs, danke für diese Video! Das Interview war schlecht moderiert. Ich hätte abgebrochen. The Bee Gees Musik ist zeitlos somit für immer und ewig! Die Melodie ist Balsam für die Seele. Andy, Mo, Ro RIP ❤️😘🌹 Gott segne Barry & seiner gesamte liebe Familiy
Great interview! 12:52. That's awesome. Jeff Lynne of E.L.O. had an anecdote about his father showing him a large sewage pipe and different echoes and sounds produced by singing into it which turned out to be something inspirational.
O.M.G. look at Robin. He's such a babe... all that beauty is practically unbearable. Still love you to pieces Robin. You're making this godforsaken 2020 bs easier.
@@juanita6479 Bless him, he certainly had a rough time in his departing days, but I never stopped thinking how beautiful he still was. Inner beauty really shines when the outer beauty is fading. Robin had inner beauty in spades. His illness didn't take away how gorgeous he truly was. :)
@@juanita6479 I get that not every Bee Gees fan thinks like we do - that Robin is their crowning glory. And that's OK. We all like different things and I'm happy with every fan who posts their fangirl squee for any of them because they are all amazing. It's sad that some want to be cruel in comments, but that's the internet. Being cruel and getting a rise out of people is a sport. But whatever. Robin's place in music history, and in the hearts of all the ride or die Robin Girls, is secure no matter if others like him or don't. :)
@@maryhough5343 Oh my word, he certainly was. He had all the ingredients to create beautiful everything. I still have to get my daily dose of Robin to feel content. I guess I'm never going to get my heart back. :)
@@Annie-49 Hi girls Here we are again. Found this one tonight. Anyway, more to you and Juanita's comments if may I must add the Robin was always beautiful. Long hair, short hair, no hair.Blond, not blond. I dint care still love him. Everything about him was precious.
I saw this about a year ago and come back to see it again every few months. I see Mo's temper a couple of times. See Barry and Rob a little edgy w/each other. very different interf
He went to rehab in 1980. He relapsed after Andy died in 1988 and the incident that sent him back to rehab happened in 1991. So not at the time of this interview. He’s human, might have been tired and all of the interruptions were annoying even to watch.
Barry said a mouthful when he said that they sang better than individually. He now should practice those words now also. Never will there be another Bee Gee group. I don't care that he has Steven and Ashley singing with him.
I have seen Barry live and to be honest he can hold up on his own he’s a true showman, but for sure he had the last word to say. I suppose like any business it needs a leader, but you wonder what songs we would have if Barry had less influence.
Alot of albums Barry's voice is so high in falsetto that the deep singing voice he had in the 60s really never came back. It's so high pitched it's somewhat puppetry. I miss his old voice
He is an exceptional artist who can do so many things with his voice and each of us find they like some better than others and that's OK it's like with visual art the beauty is in the eye of the beholder With music each person hears it a different way ....
Maybe that’s how they wanted it . They seem like they can speak for themselves so I’m sure if it was a big problem they would have talked about it and Barry would have talked less. We have no idea what their arrangements were
@@gloriabowie5629 Barry was asked by an interviewer why he answered most of the questions, and Barry said, "I like to hear my own voice." I dont think I would have said that. Howrver, watch the intetview with only the twins. Robin was quiet, and Mo answered most of the questions. Great intetview! No tension at all between the twins.
@17:02 in video They are explaining about song You win Again when all start with hand jesters! It looks like Barry is unSCrewing something. LOL! Jestering having sex? Why not just say it? Lyrics: "Lay your fortress open wide Nobody stops this body from Taking you". Wham, Bang there it is! Love the song. Peace! Over and Out
I love the way Robin looks at Barry and the faces he makes. Those two didn't get along and Mo was the man in the middle trying to keep the peace. Miss Robin and Mo so much.
They got along most of the time or they would not have been able to work so well together for decades. Remember they probably spent almost as much time with each other as they did with their wives and kids. They all had the same dream and they achieved it together.
I love Barry but sheesh, he sure does love to hear himself talk. I've noticed in almost every interview with them, he totally dominates the interviews and conservations. Often interrupting his brothers. I like to hear from Robin and Mo more. Love all the fellas though and they all have distinct personalities.
KEENster D I guess with him being the eldest and starting out he did most of the talking because Robin and Mo were so young. I do agree though that Robin and Mo should have had more talk time. Barry does tend to interrupt. I dearly love all of them though and sadly miss Mo and Robin every video I watch or every cd I play. They were all so different and I love hearing the difference in vocals in all there songs.
Yes, Barry wants to be #1 all the time. That is one of the reasons stated for all the battles between Robin and Barry over choosing songs, & performing.
Seem very uncomfortable with the interview. Keep getting interrupted; seem to be annoyed with that. But, I always enjoy watching them and appreciate you posting the video.
@@beeharbour Barry is truly disgusting. None of the three would have achieved the success of the Bee Gees alone but Robin alone is the only one who has had popularity and appreciation. I recognize that Barry proved to be a good communicator during the shows but he did everything to take away space from his brothers especially from Robin, reserving the leadership in many songs- It is useless to insist. He was jealous of Robin's wonderful voice and could not leave him too much ground.
@@beeharbour Robin did have some solo success, and that is a huge sore point with Barry. I'm actually surprised Robin was allowed to sing "Juliet" in a couple of their concerts.
@@andreinamarchini7432 I don't think Barry was jealous of Robin,Barry had a nice voice too,Barry started the group, and was the lead singer so why should he have to give it up for Robin, they both can do leads, and Barry probably talks the most because he is the oldest but all brothers have their say.
@@ellenmontgomery8533 Barry was not jealous of Robin,Barry did not care if Robin shared the lead position, but Robin thought only he should sing the lead position, selfish
They used the term "laid back" then the interviewer was trying to say that they didn't lay back but they said "we take offense to that" then they used the term "laid back" again. Is that their sense of humor?
This is a rather uncomfortable interview. I’m not sure if they are irritated with the questions or with each other. Every time Barry speaks, Robin looks sullen. He’s also leaning away from Barry in his chair.
You guys need to chill and quit analyzing every little thing!! Enjoy the interview!! Sheesh!! Try being a little laid back and you may enjoy what they are saying!!
I don’t like the guy that’s doing the interview it’s like he’s tryin to bate them for a emotional response!!! Trying to get a rise out of them!!! Bee Gees Everything they sang was awesome!!!
@@gloriabowie5629 Hold up, kid. How did you manage to find two of my comments across two different videos? I better not see you in another one. That's weird. Lol.
Of course he had an ego; everyone does. He was always tested as "humble" by friends and fans who met him. A "great reader" plainly means "I read a lot" which he did. It is a common way to express that among Bride as in "He's A great swimmer" would not mean a person is Michael Phelps it just means "He swims laps every day" or "She's a great traveler" would mean "She travels a lot". Of course great can mean spectacular but is used other ways.
ESPECTACULAR ROBIN COMO LO CALLA AL ENTREVISTADOR CON SUTILEZA...CREI QUE IBA A LEVANTARSE E IRSE, DOS VECES LA MUSMA PREGUNTA...PARECE UNA BURLA.... QUÉ PACIENCIA Y RESPETO TIENEN. BARRY, DEJA HABLAR A TUD HERMANOS!!!
Carol...Barry always wanted to be in charge. While Robin was the best of the three.Barry was jealous of Robin. Not sure if he was also of Maurice. But I have no doubt he was of Robin.
marie lonsdale I totally agree with you. You put the finger on it. Whenever Robin opened his mouth to sing in live concerts the audience went crazy each time. That never escaped Barry. With Maurice it could be different. Maurice was always a conciliatory character, Robin a warrior, as he put it himself in one of the interviews with the Bee Gees. Robin was so loved.
marie lonsdale I will never believe Barry Gibb was jealous of his brother.I just don't know why people say mean things.Im sure you don't personally know the Gibb family. Most likely you never seen them in person, but you can judge them.So wrong !
I agree. Barry tried to do all the talking in most interviews. Robin was the best singer of the three. He rarely said anything good about Robin...called him moody and competitive. I think Robin resented sort of being pushed to background when he really was the best singer and had an inimitable voice.
