Welcome to The Botch Pit’s Guide to Changeling: The Lost | Courts | Autumn Court. This is the first in a series of videos dedicated to the Changeling Courts within the Chronicles of Darkness.
The Autumn Court is also known as The Leaden Mirror, the Ashen Court as well as the Court of Fear.
In this video, we discuss and define the Autumn Court, it's relation to the emotional concept of fear, legends surrounding the court, its history, bargaining, the turning of seasons (both high autumn and low autumn), give and take, mantle as well as a general overview of courtiers that exist serving this court.
In addition to this, we shortly discuss Autumn Nightmares, a Changeling: The Lost supplement dedicated to fear as well as antagonists of changelings.

Consider pronouncing "leaden" /ˈledn/. Like the metal, not like leadership. The Leaden Mirror, the grey reflection. The opaque window. How mysteriously autumn. Leaden is a word while, gently, leeden is not. Love the video. Thank you for this excellent resource.

@@TheBotchPit You guys are amazing seriously! I have a weird one I would like to see mostly because i feel like I don't really understand the system or any of the lore very well and that would probably be beast because I don't see a lot of videos covering it in a good light and fairly I just am confused by it as a whole but am interested by the premise. Anyways keep doing what you guys are doing it really helps me as a storyteller and you guys do such amazing work on your videos!

Great video nick, I love autumn so it is fitting that I like the autumn court as well. Very interesting tid bits in here. Personally I have always wanted to do more changeling. I have only ever gotten the chance to do one and sadly it was lack luster. Also when did y'all get the discord up?

Thanks, Fenrirwolflord - I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Well, it sounds to me like you need to host a changeling game yourself! We put the Discord up when we hit 1000 subs - and it's pretty wild in there, to say the least.

@@TheBotchPit Changeling is my favorite game in the World and Chronicles of Darkness. The whole fantasy of it is amazing, the alien world and their denizens, the Wyrd, pledges, oneiromancy, I don't know, I just love it all. I just wish they converted 1e contracts to the 2e.. and that in the 2e they had put more efforts on the benefits of the pledges in the 2e... :/

@@lincr.1988 Changeling: The Lost has been my favorite Chronicles book once I discovered it as well! Also, I've been finding that many of the Second Edition books in the Chronicles line all suffer from some translation issue from first edition to second like you're discussing with contracts and pledges. It can be pretty frustrating at times.

@@TheBotchPit yeah unfortunately... I wish they cod fix it.. :/ I miss a lot of things from the 1e And I'd also have a way to play CtD using the system of rules of the CofD. Do you also like CtD? What to you like the most in CtL?

@@lincr.1988 I have Changeling the Lost from 2008, and at my last D&D larp gaming shop 15 years ago I normally ran the only Changeling PC hedge runner trader. I handed out index cards with drawn items out as plot devices. The PC will arrange and contract/ trade which will cause another changeling to hand over a Wryd dot as payment. If my PC collect enough Wryd dots he quick gains a higher Wryd dot level of their own. I had the other players sign the Wryd index card as " witnesses " of the trade in their PC names. The Wryd index card is a trade recite, which could be used to invest other WoD beings with Wryd. And a mage or kindred with Wryd/ goblin contract draws the Gentery to a new plaything. So I played an under handed baztard that traded a knidred PC to the True Fae. It was that or get his PC ..ashed .. by the city's prince.

@@TheBotchPit just to run a small list of things for 2e. i'd love to hear more about pledges, the hedges ghosts, dreamweaving, and hedgespinning. most of these as far as i know have changed alot since 1e.
