Ashwood Abbey is the best variant for players to play as "monsters that kill monsters" and my favorite antagonists ever. I want more factions like that

Ashwood Abbey was one of the best Compacts. They also had the scariest example of a hunter character. You didn't mean to end up in the Abbey, but the board of directors invited you to a private party, and then you drew the white ball from the bag and before you knew it, it was killing the Werewolf (or Vampire, or Witch, or Sasquatch) or newer get promoted again. Sure, you got your promotions, but if want your career to advance, you have to keep doing this. Losing your job is not an opinion. It's all a nightmare. You wished it would just stop. Pure chills.

“I like the Ashwood Abbey” WHAT? WHAT THE FUCK? “As antagonists” ohhhhhh, yeah that makes sense.

The opposite compact of Ashwood Abby would be The Union (which I'm guessing the next one you're going to cover for contrast)

The AB is fun but, as mentioned in the video, more of an antagonist than a playable compact, unless you go all AB. What I enjoy about them the most is the obvious “more monstrous than the monsters they hunt” trope and the not so subtle social commentary backed into their essence as a compact.

I still remember that my character get into what he consider a hell on Earth. Covering a spoiled rich frat kid (his boss son) ass while helping him hunting a vampire for his spoiled rich friends in the Abby. Our group contemplate too many to kill the brat and lie to his dad that he got killed by vampire. At the end we managed to eliminate him by making him addicted to vampire blood causing his father to place him in the rehab. As for his Abby friends, well let just said tht they died horribly in the back alley while we extracting the brat. My character and his group still remark how stupid that brat's pink Polo shirt and brown shorts.

Just found your channel! Thank you for going over the Abby! I plan to use them for my campaign and this helped me out a whole bunch!

I would actually think that the Abbey, with their "rich bored socialite" aspect, should actually be one of the MOST informed Hunter factions. Think about it. Going to the hot, exclusive nightclubs run by Daeva vampires, challenging them in the arena of charm, style, and sexiness. Hanging out in the libraries and universities where Mages dwell and crossing wits with them. Hobnobing with the monsters on their own turf, the intelligent Abbey member could learn a lot of really interesting things. To me, that would add a very cool dynamic, turn them less from the Token Evil Teammate faction and into The Friend Nobody Likes. Other Compacts and Conspiracies would have to deal with the Abbey to get information, but feel like they need to take a shower afterward. It can also help skew them into slightly more heroic, if they are well enough informed that, when they hunt a monster or "invite" one to a party, they know for a fact that it deserves whatever horrible things they're about to do to it.
