As an OG Mage Ascension player from long back, I kinda slept on rotes in Awakening at first too but they're REALLY useful. Definitely worth buying up some for your favorite spell effects at least.

I had fun last night puting the gauntlet into my flesh, i needed to get the gauntlet past a barrier. This worked well with a lot of really cool side effects!

An idea for a series might be a more in-depth look at each field of Arcana and talk about what they can do when they are useful and how story elements interact with specific schools (ie how death can interact with story points involving ghosts, geists, the underworld, and so on)

I'm about to start playing a zoo game next week and these videos have been super helpful. Just hope that trying to keep track of all the magic casting mechanics won't get in the way of roleplay

Rotes are strong though. Rote Mudra dice bonuses, and you are considered a Master for the purposes of Reach.

@@TheBotchPit I honestly don't know. Lol. Not the seers or guardians for sure(I mean who would, lol?) I'm not a fighter, so arrow is out. While I do like democracy, I also think that not everyone's opinion is as valuable. Reason being that some people have no idea what they're talking about. So not council. That leaves the ladder and mysterium. I'm more about wanting to lift people up then discovering new things. So probably ladder.
