This is FABULOUS, thank you so much! I only play when I have spare time as I take care of my elderly Dad who is terminal now, so my time is very limited. I also only play in creative because I find it very peaceful and I don't have to engage in fighting so it is my chill game to just let go of the day's stresses. For this reason, and because I don't have much time nor do I care about achievements, this editor will be a godsend for me to have the things I want to enjoy in game, for example, I do not have the time nor energy to spend hours trying to get an s class freighter, so I was considering trying to find one and just buy it outright cause I'm playing in creative so it costs me nothing anyway. However, now I can just look up the type I want, use this tool and bam change the class and go on enjoying space. Finding cool planets and species to look at and enjoy the little time I am able to play in game. thank you so much for this excellent tutorial on it's use! I do have a question though, is there a way to view the seeds of ships and freighter options list somewhere so we can choose the right style or color?

It seems it doesn't allow the editing of the game mode, you can't change it from permadeath to creative, or normal to permadeath, where as nomnom does allow you to do that and much more than NMSSaveEditor can ever do, also, there's 2 save files per slot, save.hg and save2.hg, and that's only for the creative slot, and when the editor is started and I choose the only slot available, it has 2 save game files, in the drop down just below it, so which one do I select? One is for the autosave, and the other is for the manual save, which one is which? I have edited both, and the end result is NMS reverts to the initial mode startup but displying 'Initialise', then the cutscrene starts, to signify the start of the level.

Does anyone have any advice for how to modify ship appearance with the save editor? I had originally started modifying my S class exotic by supercharging the slots... and the editor somehow changed my white long nosed short winged exotic into a guppy with large top and bottom sails in yellow... ive tried pasting in different seed codes to no effect

I only want to get the expedition rewards, if i use the save editor in one save to get it, o can have in all the other saves?

I dont like to cheat but reloading a restore point to roll better moduals turned my salvaged ship into a shuttle. When i relocated my old ship and found the exact name and class, it bugged when I got in it. New ships have zero inventory and my old ship (thats now a shuttle) ended up turning back into the original shuttle i scrapped and all the inventory was wiped. Wheni reloaded game, the new salvaged ship was gone on planet and in inventory

How do I reset my mission? I am stuck in a mission called "Patterns in Time" bug with the Gek missions. It's never getting done. I need help with resetting the mission. I've tried manually in the game by middle mouse clicking, and even look for the button for it. The button is not there. The middle click mouse to reset the mission doesn't work. So I'm left here wit hthis stupid bug.

my base and storage through milestone tabs are grayed out and i cant use them in the editor, how do?

I have NSM Save Editor 1.14.1. I'm super tired of playing the "Settlement" mission. Using the editor, I found my settlement. I can change the settlement stats, etc. But I see no way to delete said settlement. While playing, you can abandon a settlement by starting another but I don't want another settlement. This is a never-ending mission. Any advice?

Save works just fine when i load into game but my Editor says Save file Corrupted.

I just mistakenly deleted my main save (with about 60 hours 😢) and it synced to the steam cloud so all was lost, this will help me to rebuild my save as close as possible and add sufficient currency/supplies to get back up to where I was, thanks for sharing

I play on pc through xbox app and i have installed .jar file and .exe both tried and neither will find my saved game file. Idk what im doing wrong here im following step by step, even opened my game saved restore point closed and reopened the editor and nothin. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not a beginner but I've got a specific question I'm wondering if you guys can answer. I unlocked the rewards for the upcoming echoes expedition. Redeemed everything at the quicksilver booth. The only problem I had was the construct egg. It didn't appear in my inventory, i had to access a large refiner to see it (bug I've had since last update). When i hatched the egg, it was a worm and not the new robot companion. My question is, is there any way to 'forget' I've claimed it in the quicksilver booth? I deleted the egg at it was useless but can't claim another, simply un-ticking the construct egg option doesn't actually make the game forget I've already redeemed it. Legend status to anyone that can help.
