First word I saw-was ......... Marshmallow.......umm...... Then--root. Oh. Update: early morning sense of humor; But definitely always fascinated by Dr. Berg’s research articles online[RU-vid]. God bless.
Marshmallow root is also beneficial for interstitial cystitis, or painful bladder syndrome. It helps “coat” the inside of the bladder, in order to soothe and help protect it from irritants. It may not work for everyone, but it does help a lot of people with the condition.
In what form do you take this for gastritis? Are there any toxic components in it similar to those of licorice which need to be removed in order to use it efficiently for curing inflammation in the stomach? Which is most beneficial for healing inflammatory conditions? Powder, capsule or tea form? Would appreciate it if you reply asap to this. I'm in dire need of help. Have had gastritis for 7 years now.
I made some artwork using marshmallows in 2014. It’s still holding up the shape/flavor/color five years later. I’d never consume marshmallows unless I want to turn myself into a mummy or something without preservatives.
Is this Marmallow root available in the ordinary market?where can we buy them?how to prepare it to be use as medicine? Thank you for your kind response.
That Egyptian recipe is a way gone by now, but I imagine it's in another form now; sold by Egyptian street sellers, possibly Nadagha نداغه or a kind of native chewing gum, or it's the origin of the Turkish or Italian Nougat candy, or Nouga as we call it across Arab countries.
Hey Doc i only discovered marshmallow root today. Is it possible to put a healthy recipe together from marshmallow root to make healthy marshmallow candy. I love your cauliflower pizza recipe as its so delicious, healthy and easy to make. Hope to get a response. Thanks Doc
LOL, 1. Marshmallow- knowing how bad they are makes them less appealing, thanks. 2. It's good to know how to use all of the herbs and plants. It's like knowing the benefits of vitamin C , I don't always take it but know what it is when I need it. Thank you.
@@VickiTakacs.ah yes. That would somehow prevent pollen everywhere, from trees, shrubs, grass, flowers, anywhere from getting into someone’s nose. Just by cutting grains from their diet.
@@VickiTakacs.oh! And let us not forgot animal dander and dust. Oh wait…neither of those are grains. Yet both can cause sinus problems. Of course so does living near farming areas where they harvest from the land and cause everything to get in the air. Fires don’t help either.
It's in a hand cream I buy, it's very healing. 🤲 Anyone here remember Pink & Whites, years ago at Weight Watchers they said we could eat them because they were virtually Fat free. Lol. & I remember Flumps too, or maybe that was just in the UK. Thank you for sharing this important information with us all, take care, & Happy Weekend to you to. ❤🙂🐶⛄🎅🎄
I've known a LOT of people who've done Weight Watchers, for YEARS. A few may have lost a few pounds, but ALWAYS gained it back, and then some! One of them was an obese medical doctor! Yeah, she's STILL fat!
@@vickieturner8688 Yep Vickie, I know people that still do it, & they buy the WW foods to, they're full off Franken-ingredients. It was a total waste of money for me, Luckily I didn't do it for long. Take care, & Happy Christmas to you & yours Vickie. ❤🙂🐶⛄🎅🎄
Hello doctor, this was a wonderful and informative video.. Just wanted to start off by saying I am a huge fan and watch your videos for knowledge and entertainment, whenever I get the chance. Thanks to you, I have thrown away lots of unhealthy habits in my life such as sugar, junk food, sodas and etc.. However one thing that I am having trouble managing and quitting is vaping. I know it is bad for me, but I am physically addicted to the nicotine. Might I suggest making a video addressing the dangers of vaping and the benefits of quitting (within a week, month, year)? Thank you, Dr. Berg. Have a great day.
Taking bentonite clay will help you purge the nicotine from your body which will reduce the urge to take it in the first place. Maybe you should try and nicotine fast and then take the bentonite clay?
Fardin Khan - Dr. Deepak Chopra, an expert in Ayurveda, teaches to ask your body what IT wants. Put ALL of your focus on what you are doing and pay attention to what your body tells you. If you still insist on smoking/vaping or whatever, go ahead, but notice how your body reacts to whatever you are inflicting upon it. Do this EVERY time you have the urge to do anything that you KNOW is harmful to your amazing body. The majority of people who consistently do this, will eventually quit. It might not happen overnight, but the process of tuning in to how your body responds to ANY substance, is a good thing. Be good to your body and it will be good to you!! I pray that you are successful in the elimination of such things.
They do make keto marshmallows.they are called max mallows.2krazyketos on youtube did video showed them and tasted they were in the december keto krate.they tasted the caramels ones but thet come in classic vanilla just google max mallows.
Drillz88 I believe he did a video and mentioned that Calcium at night would help that. I take a magnesium and Calcium supplement at night. Anything sweet or creamy like milk and cheese, allergies or colds, smoking...all increase mucus. I cut out all dairy and my mucus decreased. Plus I lost a little weight and my digestion improved! I cheat on the cheese every now and then though!
Drillz88 you’re welcome. I try and help any way I can. I’ve brought my own body out of sickness for the past 7 years. It’s been a long road that I didn’t think I could do.
Does anyone know what I can take for an inflammed esophagus? The doctor prescribed Dexilant, but I don't want to take that stuff. I know we need our stomach acid(I'm not trying to get rid of it)...thanking you in advance or is the Marshmallow Root(tea) good for esophagus as well the throat?
Marshmallow root and slippery elm for tummies. (admit guilt, now that he mentioned marshmallow, who's thinking about slipping off for a cup of hot chocolate? lol)
Yes. You can still buy it, most often in powder form. There are also recipes to make marshmallows from marshmallow root. Along with substitutions for sugar or corn syrup depending on how you make it.

Kosher Marshmallows which contain fish gelatin are better if you consume any marshmallow. Regular Marshmallows contain pork gelatin. Pork is one of the nastiest foods, besides shell fish, you can put in your body.
Good stuff Dr.Berg,……..just for fun though, there are many good healthy Marshmallow keto recipes that are quite healthy. I enjoy this alternative with no damage to my health. Love, blessings and great health to you Dr. and all humans,💖🙏🏼🤗
Quick unrelated question_ If diabetic T2 patient takes insulin injection in stomach what does it help if insulin resistance, is it better absorbed, the person also says eye sight has improved since taking it. Thanks
@@criticalgeek3914 it's a strange one but I guess it's insulin dependent type 2 my father is type 2 and docs wanted to give him insulin too but they didn't as a change in medication seemed to help.
@@nnr2dm243 mm I live with a person that got type 2 diabetes, but after doing semi keto with me and regular exercise in the form of brisk walking for atleast 30 minutes each day(added to a active work day): we live in sweden but she ate a typical american diet for 3 years and got into trouble. She cut out sugars, except on ocations like birthdays, and I guess christmas. Down from every other day to 5 times a year so its huge progress there. Still not on keto diet but I force alot more veggies in the mix. from 3 tablets of metformin a day down to half a tablet everyother day. Its a tricky thing when I dont agree with the doctor... she lost about 30 kilograms, workout, eat 3-4 times a day with less snacking. Looks to me that doctors treat the symptoms not the cause when it comes to type 2 diabetes....I have alot of friends in their late 30s that got diagnosed with type 2, but started keto after I nagged them "alot" and they have regular bloodsugars, sleep better, loosing that extra weight they had, feel better, look better all of it. And no medications with regular bloodsugars, I know some of them do eat candy and chips and stuff everyother weekend still ;)
The interesting, I've noticed this 'marshmallow roots' in a cough syrup and was thinking it's a 'fad' or something - Will now watch with interest - Thanks as always for video's Dr Berg.
OK, I got it! Marshmellows are just fine. I use them in my desert: Condensed Milk, Honey, Golden Syrup, and Ice Cream, all blended together. Then add marshmellows and wine gums for texture.
I know this is a tad dated but my wife has diverticulitis and wanted to try this. We got the droplets Natures Answers - so she tried few drops on her arm and got a raised rash. I guess we got our answer but can it still be ingested?
The root creates a mucilage coating the stomach lining.. Seems like you bought a tincture.. probably made with leaves. Because if you add the root powder it expand. How does testing topically in the arm scientifically tell you anything about internal benefit is a bewilderment
Thank you Dr. Berg Your The Best🌟 I remember eating tons of Marshmallows during Thanksgiving😕 Not anymore, when they say sugar is Poison believe them!!!! God Bless You and All Your Family Dr. Berg FOREVER AMEN🙇♀️✝️🙏
I used to drink a lot of marshmallow root tea however I didn't know It was hurting my bladder it is really high in oxalates So now that I'm on a low oxalate diet my bladder is so much better less pain way less
Kay Muldoon. Hi, Kay, my interstitial cystitis was completely cured with 30 drops 3 times a day for six months of marshmallow tincture with homoeopathic “Lachesis” also cured my bladder cancer at the same time. It apparently rebuilds the bladder lining. I also notice it in some stomach complexes. Good luck 🙏
@@kaymuldoon3575 it all depends what is the root of the cause what is causing your bladder pain mine was oxalates It was causing infection also in my bladder so yours could be something else see the thing with Interstitial cystitis that different things could cause your bladder to be inflamed
