They say "you are what you eat." But it's not only about nutrition and health; there's a spiritual dimension to food and drink as well. Judaism guides everything a Jew does, and that includes what we put into our bodies.
The Rebbe often spoke about the importance of eating Kosher, even making it the focus of one of his ten Mitzvah campaigns. Because if we are what we eat, we'd better make sure it's pure.
