@@jamesdosandwichyt 100%,CHO enables me to go big at the back while keeping isak/palmer/salah in my team with the option to add watkins aswell if I go less flexible with rotation
@@sagarc5810do you have Isak Palmer Salah AND Haaland? If so, what does your MID and DEF selection look like? I don’t have Palmer and Salah because of budget constraints (but do have Haaland and Saka) so I’m curious
@@dennis7ckrii343 nah no Halaand in my team, I’ve got a big defence gvardiol/trent/Saliba (if calaflori is 5.5 ill go with him) then I have Palmer/Mo/Isak, I can afford to go with Watkins aswell if I want but im just gonna do baliey at 6.5 and put havertz in to save 1 mill & have arsenal attack
Opening fixture aside Rodrigo seems the safest bet at the 6.5 price range imo. He’s the most nailed on city player plus I believe he out scored all of the players in this video last season.
If Rodri was a 5.5 or even 6 mil player I may have him wk1-38. But as Andy said, u look at 6-8 week periods…at that price point a guy like Bailey or Qudus can do some serious damage when they hit a form streak
1) Johnson or kuluseski 2) I can do Rogers for Baily 3) is haverts a good cover for arsenal 4) best 4 m def and 4.5 m forward 5) will joao Pedro will start Thanks ❤
I think Harvey barnes might start LW and gordon is still great on the right, he was on the right at everton so im going to gamble on barnes from the start as he could be a gem
For me Nkunku is the player that's most nailed in my team, he's so cheap and has potential to be this season's Palmer. And I like the fact that you mentioned Kudus, he also has great potential.
Spurs fan - i think Brennan Johnson is a good gamble at 6.5m. He was one of our best players towards the end of last season and got good attacking returns after a run of games. He will be the starting RW for sure.
I've had Nkunku and Johnson in my draft since this season's game opened... I was hoping they were gonna get overlooked by the majority and favour Palmer over Nkunku. He's become more popular over the last week or so which is expected but I'm hoping folks still sleep on Johnson, who I am as sure as I can be is gonna play a more major role in a lot of Tottenham's attack and rack up crazy points for his price this season. He's fer sure my riskier punt, but what is FPL without risk eh?
@vishaljana6693 I think Kulu could do well this season, too, but I think his minutes are less secure. Johnson seems to be growing more and more confident in his ability down that right wing, and imo all he's ever lacked is confidence... he is a weapon at putting in crosses for assists and also getting to the back post to finish crosses from others. I'd be surprised if he doesn't have the most goal involvements of all Spurs players this season, even more than Sonny.
Rodri to Foden would be one move though so its not blocking a city player if you already have Haaland and Gvardiol (only Ederson would be a 2 move block)
I had Nkunku, Garnacho, and Johnson last season. At their prices, garnacho and Johnson were enablers who actually returned nice points for my team. Nkunku didn’t work out but Chelsea play much better when he’s on the pitch. These three could be gems this season
@@croissantpower Are chelsea as good as Man City? I’m a chelsea fan and no obviously not. That’s a stupid comparison considering how many game we lost and drew last season
As a spurs fan I think Brennan Johnson is a solid pick, hes practically nailed in that RW position, with Kulusevski being prefered centrally, either as an 8 or a False 9. Brennan Johnson has performed relatively well in pre season, scoring a hat trick in a behind closed doors friendly vs Cambridge and scoring vs Hearts, he hasn't looked amazing at times but his end product has seemed better. He'll begin to perform better as pre season goes on.
Don’t think Maddison will get benched and it’s not possible to play both kulu madders central which worries me if Brennan doesn’t start the season on good form will get straight benched especially now with the chiesa rumors
@@Seifblkcr Maddison and Kulu defo can start in midfield together, both started against hearts and were 2 of the best players on the pitch, helping out well defensively as well. Either way though unless we sign another forward I think its likely Kulu will play up front, as he did against Sheffield United on the closing day of last season and in the most recent friendly. I don't think there is much substance to the Chiesa rumours unfortunately but if they do happen I think every Spurs forward is a rotation risk, so not worth it in fpl.
As a villa fan I would certainly expect Bailey to start most games this season. He became a farily consistent starter towards the second half of the season and with Diaby gone certainly up until champions league starts I'd expect bailey to play. One thing to watch out for is that we have a lot of competition in the wide ares and so I wouldn't be surprised to see him subbed by around 70 -80 minutes. Especially with Jaden Phillogene coming back from hull as the reason he left in the first place was a lack of game time so I'd expect to see him.
@@Furious_Johnson Yeah he's been seen in America for pre-season but hes not had any game time for around a year. Also I don't think he'd start on the right if he played I think he'd play behind Watkins or off the left. I also remain unconvinced that he will start the season unless he is fully fit and playing incredibly because of our squad depth but its possible. I'm not saying that bailey is nailed 100% but put it this way I'd be surprised (injuries aside) if bailey didn't start the first few games of the season at least
Ive heard Villa linked to Felix, if he is signed would you expect him to play in the 10 behind Watkins? Seems like baliey is relatively nailed with the current squad and only with a felix signing he may not be nailed but im not quite sure how Villa will want to set up with all the new attacking singings
@@sagarc5810 Yeah felix has been linked quite a lot and I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up signing him. If we do then I would certainly imagine he'd play in the second striker blend between no.9 and no.10 that we play. Even with that I doubt that will affect bailey's minutes too much for the start of the season but it is certainly something to keep an eye on. The other thing to look at is how villa set up in pre season because Emery might make some tactical tweak which changes how we think villa will line up. Unless bailey has a terrible pre-season then I would imagine that he would start the first few games of the season at least but his minutes aren't anywhere as good as you will get from some other players the problem is if you don't have space/budget for watkins in your squad then he is about as nailed a route into the villa attack as you can get. If we find out that Mcginn is on penalties which is certainly possible then I imagine that he could be a good option. For now my draft has Rogers instead of Bailey because hes 1.5mil cheaper and whilst Bailey's minutes will probably be a little better I still expect Rogers to get good minutes this season and hopefully a fair few attacking returns. Hes looked class ever since he came in for Ramsey when he was injured in the luton match last season and despite his fairly low number of returns last season he was very unlucky and had numerous chances which were saved very well. The other thing I would say is he looks very clinical with the chances he gets I wouldn't be surprised if he over performs his XG this season. Going back to bailey I would say he probably will start but I'm not sure i can justify the extra 1.5 mil over Rogers who could be just as valuable an asset.
My team Miguel, 4m keeper Trent, gvardiol, Robinson, mykolenko, faes Salah, foden, Gordon, eze, nkunku Isak, Havertz, wood Was think of nkunku to rogers then foden to palmer Any suggestions?
re Spurs, both Richarlison and Kulusevski could well be sold and Chiesa's likely to come in. But Chiesa's alwats crocked so Johnson looking a strong pick. Werner-Son-Johnson the front 3 but who's playing in the centre?
spurs fan: johnson most likely starts the season in the starting XI with richarlison still struggling with injury and bj impressing in preseason. we don't really have the type of players with the explosiveness of his.
@@FormbyAnimation he could be. He scored 8 goals from 1000-2000 minutes which is more than Gibbs white, who got 5 (although Gibbs white got 12 assists)
@@FormbyAnimationhe was very good towards the end of last season and was starting the majority of games. He’ll very likely start the season and he’s a talented player.
Spurs fan here. There’s talks of us getting close to a deal with Chiesa, which would be the only threat to Johnson starting on the right wing. Deki has been playing midfield for Ange in preseason so I feel like if we don’t sign a RW, it’s Brennans spot. At the end of last season and in preseason, he’s been getting a lot better at getting crosses into the box for assists and arriving in the box to score. I feel like if all that aligns and he’s starting, he’s going to be more of an FPL threat than Maddison and possibly Son.
Solomon is back from an injury for Spurs, and he is a candidate for the left winger position. I guess that Johnson will start, but it can be changed at some point. For now, I chose Gibbs-White as my 6.5 midfielder
Will Ross Barkley potentially get good minutes? Villa are evolving their squad.. champions league.. Barkley proven and came on in a friendly 2 assists in 20 minutes? I know rotation with their other midfielders but surely he could be a good pick or am I dreaming
