I'll definitely be picking up a bottle of Ledaig 10 next time I go to the liquor store. The other three whiskys aren't available in my area in the US unfortunately.
Terrific choices! I really prefer Islay peat and smoke but these are all delicious scotch! Definitely great value! Awesome video! Oh yes to the Talisker! Cheers!
great review as always, thank you and yes Ledaig 10 is an amazing whisky, but its too bad the price here in US is no where near the price in the UK, here is 70 dollars, whenever I visit the UK I would buy a whole case of Ledaig 10 to bring back home, LOL, cheers
Haha 😂 it is a funny one, there’s many whiskeys that I say that about going to the US for. There’s a new redbreast release just for your market too :( just want to drop in a rumour here… apparently the newer batches of ledaig 10 are not as good as the one I have from ‘21 but I can’t confirm that. I will buy one later in the year to do a comparison because I can’t keep recommending this whisky as highly if that is the case! Hopefully it isn’t!
I’ve tried both the Ledaig’s. Both great bottles. Not tried the MM but really enjoy Arran’s unpeated line so will definitely try the MM CS on your recommendation. Thx! 👍🙂
Can't argue with any of these choices but that Machrie Moor will not be around for long. If you can manage to get your hands on or try any of the Laggs I think you'll like them. One step up the Machrie Moor I'd say. Cheers!

I read it once on Dramface that is some batch variations in Ledaig 10. They made H2H old one from 2021 or so and new one from 2023 or 2024. Old one scored 8/10, new one 4/10. Its just opunion but i trust them. Anyway its shock for me. I had old one and absolutely was phenomenal. After i emptied bottle i get back up. So, maybe you have this worss batch???
It sounds to me like you just prefer the islay potency over the slightly softer and sweeter island peat - nothing wrong with that at all in fact there are many occasions where I also go for islays over this. Just personal taste and preference. At least you now know where to focus your buying in the future.. onto the really powerful islays! :) peat bull does make an interesting point though. I will be buying another ledaig 10 later this year to check that point out for myself and ill make a video about what I think
I wasnt aware that there was that big of a difference between Islay and Island peat; it would be interesting to do a more in depth comparison of the mains ones. Thank you for the video 😁
