quick tip for the 1082 degree bumpstop range in sc2 pro settings, u can just set steering range to 1080 and press enter, then the bumpstop range will set to 1080 aswell ;)
Depending on how liveries are shared TexCap 0 can cause issues. TexCap 0 uses the showroom quality liveries which use the DDS file that is largest in size. Normally when sharing liveries only the smaller DDS files are shared. If somebody joins the server and the game has to generate the TexCap 0 DDS file it can cause a big lag spike. It does look way better, I sure as hell agree on that.
G-Sync on a 165hz monitor can be ran WITH vsync on too and you should cap the FPS BELOW the max Hz. Like 164FPS or below. At 165 FPS and above, gsync stops and vsync kicks in. if you have it on, or tearing occurs if vsync is off. You can run both and the biggest misconception is capping the FPS at the monitors max refresh. NO. If must be BELOW the max refresh. If you cap FPS right at the maz hz, you are not running gsync. FOr instance, my monitors are 165hz gync, and I usually cap at 160 so fps spikes do not take me out of G-Sync range. However, it really is best to cap FPS at a number your GPU can hold AT ALL TIMES, not some number it hits only when sitting still/no traffic etc.
Great review Dan, i'm going to buy 32" tripples just one question do you use G-Syns on tripples or fressyns? Or just i can buy any freesync monitors? I has asus Pg279g so i know about g-syns, question does it works on tripples as i find information confusing about tripples setup. Thanks mate, your honest videos for me feels like fresh air of those other english guys reviewers 😂
@@nmasson30 v-sync is other option, i use them with my 75hz tripples to avoid tearing, i mean freesync or g-sync that monitor is doing this job of hardware v-sync and it saves quite a lot fps approx 20-30 fps, if you have 144 hz monitor v-sync should be turned off!
Yes, I use gsync compat on all three monitors and I have a 4th monitor for discord etc and that monitor is just a 75hz one. SRWE is a really makes this much easier than Surround. Just make sure to cap FPS BELOW the max haz. SO, don't cap a 165hz monitor at 165, cap it BELOW 165. at 165, a 165hz monitor goes into v-sync AT 165 FPS and above if you have v-sync on or tearing if you have it off. V-sync and g-sync can run at the same time, one kicks in below the max Hz, one is in use at and above the max refresh.
@@amigoz3201 no, you can leave v-sync on when using gsync. If you have a gysnc monitor with a max refresh of 144hz and you have gsync and vsync on, it works like this. Gsync will work from whtever the monitors low fps gysnc rating is, somewhere aroudn 40fps and will continue to be in gsync mode from 40fps to 143fps. If vsync is on too, at 144 FPS/Hz, gsync stops and vsync kicks in at 144FPS and above. Gsync works with triples.
Love your content Dan, thanks for all you do for the sim community. I was wondering if you could do a quick video on your obs settings for triple screen users. Not the process of setting up obs but more of what you use in obs for triples and why. Keep up the great work
For those who use DLSS and want to reduce ghosting you can try DLSS swapper and changing DLSS version to the newest one. My brief testing it looks better. It doesnt eleminate it but its a lot better.
50% FFB gain, maaan thats crazy high, no wonder you are done after a race lol. I am at 25-28% with the SC2 Pro. I was up to 35% before, but even that is too high.
I'm completely on the same page, I prefered iRacing as a sim the last months although I jumped between the "big 4" ACC, AMS2, iRacing and rFactor 2. Up until ACC 1.9 I thought iRacing was the best package. But with ACC somewhat now closing the gap in believable physics and a good driving experience to iRacing I actually fell in love again with ACC. Prior to 1.8 ACC felt too strict and snappy, especially when trying to drive as fast as one self is capable of (which is the point in racing anyway, right?!?) and go to the limits... but small "errors" were harshly punished with your car ending in a wall or run-off-area. Whereas in sims like iRacing and rF2 - while those are by no means any less demanding - there is always a certain margin for not so precise driving, ACC simply killed you if you hit a curb not from an exact angle. Now with 1.9 especially the chassis behaves far more like one would expect. If your ride is low enough the curbs in eau rouge still perfectly serve as a launching ramp, making your car make Space-X' Starship One look like a joke. But if you put the settings into reasonable values you can now cut curbs that are a little bit more rough without the car jumping around like a frog on heat plate. Although... seems like the mikey mouse setups aren't completely gone, hehe. Oh, another aspect I'm on the same page as Dan: Color saturation... I think it's too much, too. Although I think it is a Unreal Engine "fault"... but I also turn these settings down to get a more "down to earth" look, that doesn't burn my eyes when driving longer sessions.
BUT let’s be honest, which damage model you prefer ? Iracing or ACC ? After 1800h ACC I went iRacing GT3 and damn the damage model is unforgiving. Hitting a wall on ACC bathurst gives some “second” damage where iRacing is completely damaged with broken chassis/suspention/tire/steering. If I can compare: iRacing damage at 80km/h is the same as ACC damage at 280 km/h. So iRacing is definitely more realistic because we all know that in real life GT3’s are sensitive to damage, hitting a car at 80 km/h means race over and towing like iRacing
@@bmwM3M5M6 That's somewhat true... overall collision physics are not relatable in ACC. Well a side by side contact not always has to be the end of the race, but iRacing - although displaying freaky bugs sometimes - is more realistic, not only in behaviour, but also in 'consequences' to the manouverability of the car. But this wasn't my point, I prefered iRacing because of it's driving experience, which is great. My point was ACC made a big effort with V1.9 to get closer to such an experience. Don't get me wrong, it's still ACC - in good and in bad for the most part - but no one can deny that despite certain flaws being introduced with the new tyre model the whole package has improved. I think it is more difficult to be really quick. Which is a good thing in my opinion, makes the top tier races more interesting. But on the other hand it's easier to improve your lap times as a driver being more on the 'amature' or 'gentleman driver' end of the spectrum. On most tracks I was able to be faster right away, than I was before 1.9, only on some tracks (damn you Spa, for being one of my favs and yet being so uncooperative!) I lost time on my prior pace. And I have way less difficulties to avoid crashes or losing the rear than before. So the whole driving experience got better. That was my whole point =) But of course, you are absolutely right about the damage model, ACC's got even more forgiving it seems, whereas iRacing can be very relentless.
Hi Dan, 1st of all thanks for that video ;) May ask you, why you didnt use nvidia surrounnd for your tripleSetup, and why didnt you run the tripples in FullScreen mode ?
Dude, SRWE is so so so much easier with less issues than Surround, and it's instant. It requires ACC to be in borderless FS to work. I saw Dan's video on it a while back and have used it since. Highly recommended.
Do you have your Virtual Mirror turned On? I feel like it is almost necessary in ACC since we can't adjust our side mirrors individually. Virtual mirror kills immersion, that's my complaint with it
@NotDreadYet I personnally NEVER used virtual mirror in ACC in my 1800h of ACC and use triples 27” so I see side mirrors and rear mirror/camera. And I had door to door battles/all kind of battles without touching and judging distances went well. Now I moved to iRacing and side mirrors are compressed meaning cars look really close on side mirrors then they actually are which confuses me. I need to get used to it because again I hate virtual mirrors, I’m chasing realism and like you said it kills immersion
@@bmwM3M5M6 Thank you, that makes sense. I'm on an ultrawide, so I can't see the right side mirror, unfortunately. I also go for realism over function, but without triples I do have a tough time and have a tendency to give up too many spots at the race start because of lack of confidence in how close cars are around me and behind me. I tried Race Lab add-ons for radar etc, but they just made it worse. It's been a few months, but maybe you can change the FOV in iRacing's mirrors.. I know you can adjust the side mirrors, at least.
@@notdreadyet33 I feel you… when I was on a SINGLE screen I only trusted radar, still didn’t used virtual mirror 😅 But once I moved to TRIPLES damn game changing. I can now battle more seriously because I can see my sides and mirrors so like real sitting in the car. I’m new to iRacing 1,5 week so I know that I only can change mirrors in the black boxes but the mirror FOV, don’t see any option… maybe ini files but no clue… If your budget allows, move to Triples man it’s really worth it but you already know this for sure 👍🏁
@@bmwM3M5M6 I hear you on triples, but I'm going to fight to stay w/ a single for as long as possible. Just don't want the extra costs, headaches, etc. Really, I'm waiting for the Super Duper Ultrawide flexible screens that will just wrap around you 180 degrees. Maybe you can't adjust fov in the side mirrors, it's been a while!
@@notdreadyet33 Yeah man I always thought that it would be awesome like 1 monitor 180 degrees wrap around = same as triples but without the bezels and all the angle blabla la adjustments indeed headache 😅 Do you know if/when those screens come out ? I know technology is going fast but didn’t really do any research on it. when it comes out and it doesn’t cost a fortune = immediate buy 🤑
I have copied multiple RU-vidrs setups and on everyone I have trouble turning into sharp corners. For example the chicane on Monza is impossible. I know it not a problem with grip or anything similar to that. This seems to be the only game I have trouble with. Everything is fine on F1 23 and GT7.
@3:43 iracings FFB is dead lol no sense of speed feel. AC, ACC, and AMS2 have that feeling, and the brake of front traction is super noticeable and easier to scrub to look for correction 😅 so all in all.. the three have you looking like the majority of GT3 driver cams while iracing has you contemplating how to sweep your wheel around the apex.
I would be interested in the framerate you get as I can't imagine it can run 125% resolution with no dlss / fsr, with a 7900xtx and 5800x3d in a race I'm around 120fps with 100% resolution and fsr quality with most things on high, spec on some settings are a killer of gpu 🤔
Hi Dan. I wanna ask you. if you had to choose a wheel base for ffb quality , what would you choose, Vrs or SC2 pro, the price doesn't matter, only ffb to be very good defined. I have sc2 pro now. Is worth to switch for vrs?. Thanks.
Hi Dan, I need really help. So I bind button on my formula 1v2.5 wheel for mfd menu, and switch between pit stop menu, electronic menu, standings etc. Also bind up, dow, left, right to joystick on a wheel, but problem is, in game I switch to pit stop menu and starting navigate click on my joystick up and down, but on 2nd click game show me overlay menu: blank, basic hud, help, time table, broadcasting, track map, if I am use my joystick on wheel quickly, if I am up/down on joystick with pause (1-2 seconds) they return to Pit stop menu and navigate in pit stop, but in game this is process click with pause wasting tones on time. What need to do, how bind properly, or how turn off this overlay menu. Thank you
@@DanSuzuki wow. 4090 makes quite a difference!! You still racing on lfm? I started with iracing 3 months ago. Just installed acc last week. Actually really enjoying it. Just finished my 7 laps at zandvoort. Man that was tougher than I thought. 😂
@@DanSuzuki 😯 no kidding!! How’s the amd chip in iracing? I’m guessing you have graphics maxed out there as well? What’s your fps like on new tracks like mugello in races with other cars?
RealHeadMotion after 1.9 is glitching for me. Once in a while camera jumps like crazy, gets stuck in a weird position or does some other weird thing. So I had to abandon it :(. If anyone had the same problem and managed to fix it, please, please let me know.
