The side by side installation time lapse is quite cool and useful! Intel vs AMD brings up another important point that was highlighted in a recent Hardware Canucks video; how a cooler can perform well on one and not so well on the other (because of CPU internal layout and cooler design). It is really good to see cost effective options on the market though, especially when it seems like the cost of a lot of PC components are going the other way.
I have the 2 Rev B and it is outstanding in terms of performance. The look as well + 3 more 140 fans in my Be quite case. Everything works like a charm. And last but noit least they are a bang for the bucks!
EU prices : I recently buy Fuma 3 for 58euro , now price jump to 82euro. Happy to bough it so low. Temps for my AMD 5700X with slight OC 100mhz paired wuith RX 7700XT OC in games {Hunt Showdown cpu 95percent load} 71C with 1500rpm........ For notice about Noctua , D15 cost 151euro.
I’m Indonesian and I have to agree with you, Scythe coolers are very hard to find here and even if you can find them, they usually cost 50% above msrp. Take Fuma 2 for example, it still costs around $75 here. Luckily, my aunt from US is visiting me today and I requested her to grab a Fuma 3 from Amazon US for only $50. Hopefully, it arrives in one piece considering it’s a long flight 😅
Replaced a 3 year old kraken with nice noctua fans on radiator with this fuma 3 (re using those fans too). Idle temps down 4-5c to 40-41C and just better temps overall on my 7700X. Let’s keep in mind this is $49.99. My kraken X53 was $129.99. This is a no brainer.
Schythe is still alive? They used to be one of the big players around 2008-2010, they made some crazy coolers. I still have a Mugen sitting around. It looks like this cooler but without the fan stuck in the middle.
I got this without much thought. I looked up if it could cool a ryzen 7 5700x3d, it said yes so I ordered. If I could go back I'd probably get a peerless assassin se 120 but my cpu idles at 40, and I can always add another fan for an extra -5c. Overall I'd say its very solid for any i5,i7, r5,r7 more then reasonable price and quality.
i have it with r9 7900x and i immediately noticed the idle temp also! mine set at 56c but keep in mind i set the fan rpm at 1090 at all time and it's dead quiet. so overall i'm so happy with the results so far.
a few years ago i had a be quiet pro 4 and this time i was really looking for a noctua but when i saw the price, the reviews and how sick the cooler looks i had to pick it up 😁 when i opened the box a few hours ago i was like a goddamn kid on christmas night 😂😂😂 that’s a good looking cooler out there and i can’t wait to mount it on my pc tomorrow 🤘🏻
Has a 92mm cooler compare been done on the channel? One of the let-downs I had with the prebuilt from ROG Strix with the G15CF (mid-tower) when I assumed (yes, that makes me an you know what (RU-vid will not allow that word)). I looked for a while, Noctua has one, but I stumbled upon another one for at least half the price. I had two requirements, it needed to fit and needed to be aRGB. I have now changed the airflow in the case to positive pressure in the case. I know a lot of people stick their nose up to pre-built computers and for the mid-range I like to say that Asus, do better. Do not put a measly stock cooler on the CPU when you have RGB everywhere else.
Since the 13900k wasn't hitting boost numbers listed on the product page, what are the highest level intel/AMD chips that it can cool AND allow for expected boost performance?
top cooler but >70€ in germany. So I would prefer Thermalright with better price to performance. Nevertheless, great video again (and again and again ...)
I got an ID-COOLING SE-225-XT Black CPU Cooler for my 5900X and it's been keeping my max temps around 72c for $40 USD. You might want to give it a go and see what you think.
That's ridiculous, you're not getting normal CPU performance under load, that's why the temp is so low. When you set the 5900x to max performance, the temperature will always hit 90 degrees. What is your CPU's score in Cinebench R23?
@@Musitdjan 90c? You must be doing something wrong. After running Cinebench R23 for 10 minutes my 5900X had a max temp of 73.3c with a max voltage of 1.481v. My ambient room temp was 21c and my score was 21126.
@@guitarprogrock There you go, my room temp is 24.5, R23 result 23750, and that's the normal result of a tuned CPU, not what you have. CPU idle temperature is 38-39 degrees. So, learn the topic. Scythe Fuma 3 + MX4
@@Musitdjan I have PBO turned off and my CPU voltage manually set to 1.325. There's not really any advantage to overclocking a Ryzen CPU. I used to do it, but mostly all I got was a lot more heat for an extra 5 to 10 FPS on the games I play. You might drop a couple degrees if you used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut instead of MX4. This is the first time I've air-cooled my main PC. Usually I liquid-cool via a custom hardline loop. But when I upgraded this system I didn't feel like bending tubing, also water-blocks for my 6900XT are a bit too high priced right now.
