Phở really does touch the soul. :') And there really is a place called Phở Kingway. I'm not even kidding. It's so funny how non-Vietnamese people pronounce it. I'm just like "guys it's not f---king way" lol.
I'm Asian and that one is so funny and offensive I would punch you in the face and then help you up just to shake your hand and give you an award for awesomeness! Lol
Have you guys tried duck noodle soup? In Vietnamese it's called "Mi Vit Tiem". It's got some Chinese influences because they use some herbs and spices which make the broth super delish :)
Tonkotsu Ramen is by far the best type of ramen out there! Lived in Japan, and now back in the states, Im glad some SoCal places are bringing ramen in the limelight
There is Vietnamese egg noodle soup with duck, mi viet Tim, and bun mang vit, White noodles with duck and bamboo shoots. Both are pretty popular but second to Pho of course. Love u guys cool videos. I just subscribed:-)
please make the 2nd episode of this featuring korean ramyeon. btw indonesia has several kinds of noodle soup as well, like mie ayam (chicken noodle), bakso (meatball noodle soup), mie jawa (javanese noodle with chicken), timlo, and soto (the last two have vermicelli, actually). btw i love how you mention your youtube buddies. keep it up
I used to eat pho 3x a week. I PHO-D'd (PHO-verdose). Now I gotta mix in the Bun Rieu and Bun BO Hue. Good Pho is everywhere but a good BBH or BR is hard to find.
***** I agree. They also seem to be aftraid to bring the strong flavors i.e. fresh crab and shrimp paste. Eventhough its waaay better with strong flavors.
dnldmor08 Ikr, I can't find any good viet places that make Bun Bo Hue as good as my mum's, it's especially harder when you live in a country where Vietnamese food isn't as popular ;(
I feel like every time I watch your videos I learn new things about Asian cultures (I am a Hispanic girl). Your videos have a way of making learning about culture fun and hilarious.
I have afew suggestions about noodle soups. Well for one , here in Singapore, we have a diversity of races here so I would suggest trying food from the malay community such as mi rebus, mi soto, laksa and mi siam ,the indian community with thier mi kuah and mi soup, and the chinese with thier curry chicken noodle, thier fish ball soup noodles, fried fish soup with noodles and thier yong tau foo.
Good ramen with the egg that is hard boiled but the yolk gets soft and runny is the besssst. I had butter ramen in Hokkaido that literally had a whole stick of butter in it. That was so delicious.
You guys are cool. After viewing this and some of your other videos (Things Asian Parents Do, in particular) I had to subscribe. Obviously I'm not Asian but this sure does make noodle soup look good enough for me to try!
I agree with the list but for me, i'd do beef noodle soup (using pho noodles) as my number 1 choice, then pho as 2, ramen 3 and the last 2 can go in any order really.
Indonesia also has noodle soup: Mie Ayam (noodle with pieces of marinated chicken and vegetable) and Mie Bakso ( noodle with meatball and vegetable like bean sprout). Love your videos :)
lanzhou style beef noodle! That is well known and unique. Suzhou style duck/fish noodle, though, is delicious too. but not many people may hear of it in the US. Guangxi style rice noodle, which has lots of variations. But they are kind of street food style..extremely delicious with in expensive ingredients!
Nathan Tran I'm black soooo why don't u learn ur facts. Have u not seen my profile picture. Do u not see the skin color? Just because I'm black means I can't like chicken noodle soup? Stereotypes bro, stereotypes.
Please try Sizzling Yee Mee with Egg It's a really good food Best to eat is when you are in a cold, The yee mee is crispy, along with the delicious, savoury gravy Mushrooms and chicken are well cooked,The egg is also delicious. Tastiest food ever.I love this food as I usually eat 2-3 times a week. You must try this.
I grew up eating both pho and wonton noodle soup since I am half Vietnamese and 1/4 Chinese and White.. It's like you can eat pho on a hot day and it will still taste good lol.. But I haven't had wonton soup in a long time! :(
Alex Ngan All I said was they didn't go to the right place. No Egg, no nori(dried seaweed), no moyashi, no naruto fishcakes, not saying it tastes bad, just saying its not authentic enough.
If you want to eat delicious and clean Asian food, these countries will be gr8 choices: Japan, China+Taiwan, Korea. and maybe Turkey if u want a little bit mid-eastern style.
+Yuri Kaijie omg im so glad someone finally mantions turkey. Its officially an asian country but there is too much middle eastern/western influence for it to be recognized as one:(
Do something on the clear noodles! Like i think theyre made of bean, maybe? I cant remember? Whatever they are CLEAR NOODLES FOR CRYING OUT LOUD IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY DONE SOMETHING ON THEM YOU DEFINITELY SHOULD
I grew up with home made wonton soup, and now wonton eggnoodle is my favorite such that I can't eat Pho without thinking I could be having Wonton noodle soup imstead.
