The folks at Harley Benton must have decided that it was Ibanez's naming scheme that makes them so popular!

I like HB's style. Tried out a couple listed on FB marketplace that gave me severe Gear Acquisition Syndrome

Thanks for the review. I'm still sad they discontinued this model so quickly. I had planned to get one and mod it and maybe get a couple more later on for different configurations. I'm crossing my fingers that they bring this one back, even with the weird lack of selector issue. I've got a MJ-4MN which I like a lot, it's worst issue really is the weight. The neck is great (22 fret, maple, steel frets, 39mm width). I've also got a PB-20 SBK, which isn't quite as nice but mostly because mine lost the fret job roulette (Thomann did look into replacing or cost of fixing it though in their defense, I just decided I would use it as a learning tool for doing fretwork). It may also be my learning project for defretting ;) Overall though, HB stuff while not perfect all the time, is still way better and cheaper than the available stuff I had when I first started bass in 1990. As long as you know what possible things to fix up or have someone that can for you, they can be quite easily made into quite nice instruments for a newer player and even for most players whole time probably.

Yea that's the verdict I got from this, I want to see if their base models keep up the same pace as the gotoh when it comes to wood cut and feel, because if it does it'll smoke the Glarry

What do u think of the jackenbacker? My first and only bass, and i appreciate having a spear at all times. Never know if someone tries robbing u mid jam session

Good question, I haven't really had one in my hands for an extended period of time. From what I remember from the like 2 times I tried it though, it seemed cool.

@floofthebassplayer awesomeee, I will say though, I definitely should've chosen a better bass when it comes to its condition... I got mine at gc at half off, which makes sense considering the condition, not my smartest decision. Buttt I'm happy with my bass😌😌 just need to invest in a proper setup
