Was there that year, was a blast. Good friends with Scotty. (We met when we both tested for Stone Brothers Racing's Super2 program. I focus on sim racing these days) Even got to meet Roger himself for a quick moment.

It's not controversial it's just blatantly cheating, that's why they received the biggest fine in racing history up until that point, it's shameful and shouldn't be brought up, it's a stain in the history of the most prestigious race in our country.

Agree, it was a disgrace. The big fine means nothing when they can afford it without batting an eyelid. They raced as a team that day so they should have been penalised as a team. This victory was not deserved.

I was a big fabian supporter but that safety car hold up was a shocker. Literally altered the entire fields outcome of the race for the benefit of one car. Was possibly the worst sporting act I have seen in this sport in a long long time.

At some point during the race, Scott’s teammate Fabian Coulthard intentionally slowed down and blocked the rest of the pack so he wouldn’t have to do a double stack with Scott (which is when 2 drivers on the same team pit in the same pit box, which would be a big time loss for the second car)

Team orders delaying the car that would challenge him by 47 seconds. considering 2nd place was only 0.6 seconds behind at the flag and had a 19 second fuel gain overlap in the pits. The result was stolen and should not have been allowed to stand. @@woodzy8297

when a team illegally engineers a win that win should not stand. Weather #17 knew about it or not, the actions of the team created the outcome. If he had a problem after not being awarded the win that would be between him and the team. The driver that should have legitimately won should matter. Lets not forget #17 also gained pole with an illegal engine. His time was deleted but he still started the race in the pole spot. @@dds272
