I suggest something different. Practice Autumn leaves with a backing track! And play with eyes closed! Autumn leaves has all the letters of the music alphabet. Once you learn them blindly. Your intrinsic note memory makes you play like a pro!

Merci beaucoup. I start my day with my 30 second back stabilization and strengthening exercises. It's on my video Oh My Aching Bach. I do a version of the forearm stretch against the wall lying in bed. I then do the Sun Salutation, the best yoga stretch to move the body. I like your version of the 5 note scales, I'll add that. Too bad I didn't find your channel a year ago.

Helpful tips for sure. I just purchased the book you referenced. Even though I feel like i know the scales from my trumpet playing (a novice player), the fingering in the book helps. My one question would be: if I am a beginner and working on a song, is it best to just concentrate on playing with chords, or actually working on RH melody - LH chords? Thanks.

@@pianoly Its very helpfull! I was also watching some other channels, one which made some chords 'more easy' for beginners. And of course I do have a question right away. The chords for beginners are like: A Minor: CEA C Major: CDG G Major: BDG But on another page I see: A Minor: ACE C Major: CEG G Major: GBD Can you explain the difference reall fast, or whats the best way to leard, orrrr recommand one of your video's ?? Thank you !!

It sounds like another video was doing what is called a chord inversion. That means they are playing the notes out of order. In my video, we show the chords in “root position.” This means it’s the most basic way to play a chord and it’s lined up in order. You could watch another video about chord inversions. I do not have one about this yet! Hope that helps.

😮Step 1 : Sit down at your piano bench . Step 2 : Eat your vegetables ( practice your scales practicing your scales is similar to eating your vegetables before enjoying dessert. Step 3 : Diatonic Triads .Step 4 : Chords Progressions practice . Step 5 : Two Octave - arpeggio .

(Mistaken comment, see Rusty's correction) -> In general I think your tutorials are very good for beginners. However, your use of numbering of keys being different than standard key numbering for scales could cause confusion in beginners since standard numbering for scales are 1 3 5 8 for the keys you played, not 1235.
