Without lowering they are on stilts, the arch gap is crazy. Lowering doesn’t always have to compromise comfort.

Chris Harris lowered his one and he said its one of the best cars he's owned. As above, lowering doesn't automatically mean you've ruined the ride. You can get softer springs.

@@lukek9694 Chris Harris M2C is on Coilovers which is gonna give him better comfort while lowering it.

But if you can afford an M2, you must be able to afford a couple of classy Ohlin coil overs or whatnot..? 👍

Yup bmw used to be about driver handling the feel and the engine bows it about selling as many cars as possible. The new m cars are fast but don’t have the feel that the older cars do. Everything after the e92 m3 the 1m and even the og m2 with the n55 is pretty bad. The new m2 sounds like shit the m3/4 sounds like shit the M5/8 are just twin it to v8s that don’t sound any different or better than an Audi or Mercedes.

E92 has the same engine as the bmw m5/m6 v10 engines just minus two cyclinders......best era and best sounding cars

@@nikolal.4502 Really? Yet I have a video on Petrolicious about my E30 M3 track car despite never having sat in an M car? I have an E46 M3 and had a 1M 7 years ago. Modern M cars are ridiculously priced and more about sales that motorsport heritige.

@@Retrobeemer Ok, you've clearly not sat in a new M then. Modern M cars perform much better than the older cars and are no less of an M car. Just because someone made pops and bangs map doesn't mean the car is made for that. What do you want, BMW to keep making exactly the same cars as they did 20 years ago ? Why ? They've already made enough, move on to something new.

@@nikolal.4502 Apart from the fact I’ve driven plenty of modern M cars, hence my opinion of them, there is more to what makes an M car than outright performance. Although I’ve kept many a modern behind my E30 on track because it’s not weighed down with hugely heavy electric heated seats or a stereo to pipe in engine sounds. There’s a reason why so many people don’t equate modern M cars with what M used to mean. Nowadays the engines aren’t as special and they’re full of gimmicks. The steering systems they use are also shit when compared to the likes of the E46 and they’re not even offering the new M3 as a manual! They’re catering for people that think pops and bangs are cool and don’t have the skill to heel & toe manual shifts. Basically dumbing down the M badge.

@@Retrobeemer The new M3 is offered in a manual. Again, they have never made pops and bangs. That is made by tunimg companies. The reason for adding these things that ypu described is that if they don't, the car will be essentially the same as the old ones with a nee design. No one will buy it, the company will go bankrupt and no more M. All of that just to please a handful of people who are not even buying the new cars anyway. Pretty stupid if you ask me. If you like the old one, just keep the old one. Why do you want them to keep making you the same car ?

@@tarquin161234 nope, they both rwd, only difference is the 1m has a lsd from the m3 and some wider track arms and other suspension bits not sure which parts but basically they are the same car with a few m3 parts borrowed to the 1m

Agree that most of these young guys have nice cars but no property. Could have had a M3 or C63 if I wanted to waste money, but instead got a mortgage and Octavia VRS!

@@monst3rmoody and it sounds bad in all of those cars. The s55 sounds much worse than the n54/55 and b58. The og m2 with the n55 sounds way better than the current m2 comp with the s55.
