This is not only a fantastic ASMR parody but also a very funny (and, I think, very kind) tribute to Bob Ross. On a deeper level, it is also a wonderful insight into the way Rembrandt himself actually painted. Thoroughly enjoyable on many levels.
+Beryl Green I'm pretty darn sure Rembrandt van Rijn and his students did not knock off paintings in a one-hour time frame. I'm not saying it can't be done. The legend of Rembrandt's contemporary Franz Hals and his distinct bold brushwork portraits was that he designed the technique so that he could dash a portrait off in a single sitting.
thanks everyone who watched this. I never expected to get 1 million views when I posted this 5 years ago. I remember watching Bob Ross as a kid and liked the way it calmed me down and got my mind off things, we were also too cheap and religious to get cable. I didn't know 20 years ago what ASMR was but benefited from it unwittingly. To all the haters, take your energy and create something, help the community or hit the gym.
+user3242 Yes. I like your video. Very amusing! I used to watch Bob Ross when I was just a kid and I remember how his gentle voice and simple view points of the world calmed me down and put things in perspective for me. I miss him...
To anyone else whose confused, he started with a finished painting that he painted black. Some parts he scratched off the paint and in others he reversed the footage so that the black was seemingly replaced by the paint. Of which there is none of on the pallet
I could not stop laughing at this!!! Holy shit this guy does a spot on Bob Ross impression!! My favorite line he said was "In our world, our man might have an ear. The other ear is invisible, or we'll just paint it on the back of the canvas"... LMFAO! I could watch him do Bob Ross parodies all day!!!
I think the parts where he is actually painting on it are reversed. Like he painted it black then reversed so it looks like he is painting. Look at 6:15 from here to the next cut he moves strange. And there is 1 sound that I hear a lot in reversed videos. At least for this part. But I think he used more methods anyway wait 4 years? Am I too late? Are you still alive?
Wow, that actually makes sense. Looking close at 5:10 he's "painting" black but when the brighter color suddenly starts to come through seemingly out of nowhere at 5:23 he pretends to put it on his brush.
So many missed opportunities here. The little smile at the beginning, "Hwhite", the giggle after slapping the brush dry, "the illUsion of mist", etc. etc. The ending is brilliant though.
In case you didnt knew it, this is co-me-dy, he doesnt have to exactly act like bob ross, and if he doesnt look like bob ross , that is an issue you shouldnt care about because is a PARODY
Dan Vanden Boogaard To tell the truth, last month I asked Miss Joanna here to post any clarification she felt like to this video. You, sir, came unasked.
