I actually heard Kathleen Lights pronounce the "J" as an "H" sound and her brand literally, did a collaboration with SDJ. So, who cares? I would pronounce it either way.

Btw as someone who has a great love for vanilla scents im surprised you have never talked about the soap and glory products- especially the bodybutters. I would also like to see a review about their body mists. See if they’re any good.
I don't have any SDJ yet. I'm going to have to try that brand. I don't like JLO glow, but I like the Miami version. Also, I think you did well to point out the unnecessary anger, like people need to chill, we're imperfect creatures.
Is it weird that cheirosa 62 is like a winter/fall scent to me? 😅 It's just too warm for me, I can't handle nutty scents in summer. The bumbum cream is easyer to wear year round to me.
I’ve been on Fragrantica for about a decade and I’m always amused by the ‘smells like’ categories. They are literally all over the place 😆 I love the Bodycology Coconut Hibiscus- I actually wore it last night. I find it really comforting to apply a spritz before bed. And yes… please do a B&BW version. I saw they released their summer scents yesterday
I bought Bikini Season and When in Rio and returned both! I was soooo disappointed! They are like lower quality Bath and Body Works sprays. Imo! The girl who did my return at Sephora said she felt the same way and has been hearing it a lot.

Just made a Walmart trip and checked out their NEW Body Fantasies scents, the one called Apple Blossom (green bottle) is a dupe for Zara Go Fruity and Dkny Be Delicious...I will be going back and buying more as I'm pretty sure once the word gets out they'll sell out super fast. ❤ ur content. I enjoy the SDJ Rio Radiance mist a lot! I layer it with a little bit of the SDJ hair oil mixed with lotion and I feel like it helps to curb the sunscreen scent, which I don't mind anyway. I feel such a fresh/lactonic scent bubble when I layer those scents together. I have to try those Bodycology mists! I've been trying to find something different than D&G L'Imperatrice because it's a little expensive to me atm but I want something similar. I really like it but I don't love it enough to spend $80+ right now. The watermelon one from Bodycology sounds good though! 😊
I found Miami Glow body spray at Marshalls (our equivalent)! It smells exactly like summer. I don't know how they did that but all I smell is being on the beach in the sun. So good! Thanks for recommending!❤
i just ordered the pacifica indian coconut body mist because i smelled it with my cousin and couldn't quite make out why it reminded me so much of my early childhood. i love coconut scents and i really hope that it makes me smell very beachy and like i live in the sun. i'm curious to know if it will go with the sol de janeiro pistachio and salted caramel body mist because they seem very similar even without the coconut notes in it.
Sol De Janero mists does not last on me at all. And they also have zero projection on me /on my clothes etc. :( But I love their deodorant! I also avoid Victoria secrets mists for same reason. But BBW you’re the one is the only mist that has somewhat of a throw and lasts a little bit like maybe 20 mins after over-spraying I think overall mists are not for me even though some of them smell amazing. But they are so tempting to buy
Have the guava orange bottle and girl!!!! got a backup for very expensive from Mercari because is sold out on Sephora. Got the pink bottle one and it’s ok.
Funny how you brought up extra Concentrated cause that's currently my work scent I take with me and I agree its weird imo I get a Pineapple-y scent to it but yet there's absolutely no Pineapple notes in there 🤣 its so tropical!
Hear you. My taste changed about Kayali's vanilla 28 too, first I liked it, then I didn't, so I sent it back. I'm so Very picky on my vanilla scents, it has got to smell just absolutely authentic for me to buy a vanilla scent, & if it doesn't, I will not buy it. I have not found one that I like yet, & I feel I've tried them all. I'm comparing it to an absolutely amazing vanilla scent I had yrs. ago that was a body oil, it smelled so authentic, that if it doesn't smell like that, then I'm not interested, & they don't make that brand of body essential oils anymore. :(
Same here. An aged vanilla s my preference rather than a foodie one which smell cheap to me. But it can’t be too aged to where it smells musty. Hugely challenging!
Love the video. Idk if the new SDJs are coming to in-person stores. Everyone has a totally different preferences ranking of the 3 scents. I recently bought Miami Glow because of you! I think of it as being "clean tropical."
The new SDJs are at the brick stores, and I just tried on all 3 and gave them a good test via a long walk in humid weather. The blue one is another Cloud variant, most similar to the Pacifica dupe as far as I can tell. Contrary to what others have said, it's the strongest and longest-lasting to me. The pink is the most SDJ-ish. Offhand it reminds me of BBW Sunset Glow, maybe with a burnt sugar element. The orange has an initial fruity blast, but dries to kind of a clean sweet scent, maybe with an element of Cloud. Sometimes I got a diaper note, the way some florals do. After my walk, it's faded the most.

That is silly to get that mad over pronunciation. But to be correct if she wants Janeiro can be pronounced with an H if you are giving it a Spanish pronunciation. So, technically not incorrect. But in Brazil it is produced with J. So, technically not really wrong. And not something someone should loose there cool off 😂😂. Some people are just angry and want to find someone to be rude to. Don't worry about those people
I like the new SDJ scents but they’re not revolutionary! Bikini Season is fruity but dries down kind of buttery, When In Rio is Cheirosa 40’s less muskier sister & Do Not Disturb is a musky version of Cloud in my opinion. Still going to keep all of them :)
SDJ do not disturb is beautiful so fresh for the day it doesn't list coconut but I smell coconut cream a bit like sunscreen...so annoyed I could never get anitta it was never in stock in the UK, I love sea n sol bought 3 its amazing I love the dry down its like being in the sun at the beach on a hot day ❤❤
I really like sunphoria... Very citrusy and orange blossom! Soo pretty! I have the orange eau de juice and its a super juicy fruity tropical summer scent ! I layer it with Riri and jlo jlove. I just got miami glow mist, but unfortunately its very sharp to my nose, and I get too much of the signature jlo soapiness from it! 😢
Unfortunately the new sol de janiero scents won’t be in store at Sephora it’s an online only product at Sephora. I love the Bikini Season one I think you would like it too. I didn’t like the blue one.
I believe they just hit stores yesterday so they are no longer just online exclusives but they are hard to find, fortunately i bough the last ones of each at my store🙏
LOL Rahui sweats the small stuff. My sis has this pet peeve of correct pronunciation and definitions of words so she jumps all over people who "should know better." Not sure how this peeve came to be but there it is. It's probably an almost harmless venting tool.

Are you finding Walmart's fragrances locked up now, everyone? I went at the beginning of the year to get Kenneth Cole White mist and waited for an hour before I gave up and went home without Kenneth. :( I didn't want to blind buy.
I smelled the new Sol De Jinero scents yesterday, and I’m more of a sweet/fruity/gourmand lover, and I know they are mostly labeled floral, but it wasn’t as floral as I thought it would be! They all smelled mostly fruity sweet to me. In order I would say the orange one is best, second is the pink, and third is the blue. I personally liked them all, but you should definitely smell them yourself since smell is subjective. As far as rio radiance, eh didn’t really care for it. It wasn’t memorable to me.
I thought I'd love Cheirosa 62 but bought the perfume and it's just really underwhelming to me. So bummed! 😢 I don't get any pistachio or other notes. It just seems like a boring coconut body lotion to me.
I bought the island vanilla hair/body spray from target and when I got home I tried it on and it smelled so gross and fishy😷 It definitely went bad at the store. I did get the perfume though and I liked it. It went well with wrapped in vanilla during the winter.
