When I first finished A Time of Courage, I had an intense internal battle in choosing which one I like more between Wrath and A Time of Courage, and I think Wrath slightly won because of it's, imo, more emotional! 😁
I definitely agree with that Wrath just has more moments of pure ecstasy or despair. I thought I’d done pretty well reading wise until I saw you’d read double the pages I had, oh well, don’t know how you do it.
@@stuart1346 Haha, I think the grass is always greener on the other side. I look at people who've read 200-400 books this year and I think the same way as you! 😅
It makes me so happy that The Cemetery of Forgotten Books is on your number 2 spot :D I totally agree that one is one of my favorite series of all time. The only thing even better than it is that we can reread it any time now from all the beginning :)
Arghh, even hearing you say that makes me want to reread the entire series already. I loved the series so much, it's one of the biggest reading surprises for me this year! 😊
New viewer here. I'm impressed by both the breadth and depth of your reading interests. Furthermore, your commentary is compelling. Looking forward to seeing more of your content here. Liked and subscribed!
I’ve had three John Gwynne books on my shelves for months. You’ve moved him to the top of my tbr! I’m excited to check out the Richard Nell series and Dragon Mage when it comes out.
Arghhh I truly hope you'll love Gwynne's books, Aaron! I love his books so much, and yes also for Nell's and Dragon Mage! 😁 Morning Star was pretty amazing, I loved Golden Son slightly more, but the entire Red Rising Saga is just brilliant. Looking forward to rereading it!
Everytime you post a list I open all of my reading/listening apps and add them ALL to my TBRs. Every. Single. One. You are precious and much be protected. Thank you so much for joining Booktube, it was probably one of the top 5 best things that happened in 2020. You keep being great, my guy!
Yay! I'm gratified to hear that my recommendations are that beneficial to you, Jacqulyn! Also, awww! Thank you so much! I truly appreciate that! I'll keep on doing my best! 😄
Petrik! Watching you review books genuinely warms my heart. Your passion for fantasy, and reading in general is infectious! Many (all) of these made my TBR. Keep up the awesome reviews!
Thank you so much, Judy! I will do my best! 😁 Also, I'm so happy to hear that, I truly love fantasy books, and pretty much reading, knowing that you can see my passion on these are so cool! 😊
The best book I read in 2020 was 'The Only Good Indians' by Stephen Graham Jones, a horror novel with a Native American perspective. It was nice to hear you mention the works of Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I've read the first two novels in his sequence and will happily continue to the final volumes soon. I was also very sad to hear of his passing. I've just discovered your channel. I saw your participation in a discussion of the works of Joe Abercrombie. He's an author I only recently tried for the first time. I plan on reading more of his work. I read 'Sharp Ends' to sample his world and style. I can't read grimdark all the time but as part of my frequent mix of favorite genres (history, biography, classics, and contemporary literature) some fantasy, horror and science fiction once in a while is a welcome spice to the reading pallet. Happy New Year!
I hope you'll love book 3 and 4 of Cemetery of Forgotten Books! The series as a whole is truly special! Oh, so cool that you found this channel through that First Law discussion; it was so fun for all of us to do that episode. We will create more of them in the future! Happy new year to you, too, i hope you'll love Abercrombie's books when you get to them! 😊
Glad to have been directed to your channel! I'm not really a grimdark guy, but I'll definitely be sticking around for what are clearly informed, passionate recommendations. Thanks for sharing!
Yay!! You're welcome and thank you for watching my video! Don't worry, I may talk about grimdark a lot but I think statistically I read epic fantasy more often than grimdark! 😂
I get so many of my next reads from your goodreads, love your reviews keep it up homie! Richard Nell is so underrated, one of my favorite series hands down.
I just picked up a time of courage not that long ago, and I'm re-reading from a time of dread. Hearing you praise it as your #1 has me really excited to tear into it when I catch up
@@PetrikLeo of course, the licanius trilogy is one of my favorites if not my number 1. I got a real laugh when you said the burning series would be perfect for those who liked red rising, as I found the burning right after finishing the rising lol. Thanks for the list though, I'll be sure to snag them the next chance I get
You're welcome, and thank YOU for watching the video! 😄 Of Blood and Bone trilogy is another amazing trilogy by John Gwynne, and Dragon Mage has my recency bias so much! I hope you'll enjoy them all!
Writers and Artists are truly underappreciated!!! I hope with all the new booktubers, reviewers, we can raise the awareness of these fabulous works of art!!!! Reading has been a lifesaver for a lot of people, let us continue that tradition. So THANK YOU TO YOU AND ALL BOOKTUBERS/BOOK REVIEWERS!!!! Happy Holidays Petrik and more books to read for you!!!
Just found your channel (not by referral but as youtube put this up as an option related to my viewing). I enjoyed your views on the books you've read. Clear without giving away spoilers. I'm familiar with some but you mentioned a couple I was yet unaware of )so my already huge want list is now a bit bigger again) and I'm subbing to follow.
Hi! New subscriber! I am so happy to see The Labyrinth of the Spirits so high on your list! That series also means a lot to me, I just think they're all so phenomenal and I was devastated when I learned of the author's passing. Thank you for directing more people to his masterpieces!
Hi!! Thank you so much for subscribing! 😁 I know right? When I finished The Labyrinth of the Spirits, I told myself: "I am definitely buying every book he writes from now on." And... he passed away. 😢 I hope more people will still give this series a try, it's so brilliant!
I think I speak for many when I say I’m in awe if your reading accomplishments, Petrik! I picked up some titles to read (I’m reading The Burning God in January and will read Rhythm of War a bit later) from you, so thanks! I’m also glad to see The Trouble with Peace there - it was one of my favorites too. I’m finally reading Gwynne’s Malice right now! Happy reading for 2021, my friend!
Haha, I try my best to always read as much as I can! 😂 I think you'll love The Burning God, but I'm curious about whether you'll love Rhythm of War or not. I guess we'll see! And heck yeahhh to The Trouble with Peace being on both our list! And now that you're reading Malice already... I'll keep my fingerscrossed that you love his books as much as I did! Happy reading for next year, too, my friend! 😊
Hi petrik, I just bought the whole Banished Land trilogy. So can’t wait to read these book. Plus, It’s awesome to see it being number one on your list. 🤘
Man, I really like your videos ..very simple and on point ...you know what.. I was hating your reviews on Goodreads about The Wheel Of Time series.. but I'm in book five now and I think you're kind of right .. the series is somehow dragging and slow .. just reading them and waiting for Sanderson entry in the series. But really good work here.
I'm sure you're not the only one who hates my reviews on the series! It's a very popular series, after all. 😅 Anyway, thank you for the kind words, I hope your journey hrough Wheel of Time will be better, I heard that book 7-10 are much more slower and sloggish than the first 6 books. Good luck! 😄
@@PetrikLeo Yeah, I know ... The ratings on Goodreads say as much. I thought of ditching the series, but I really need to know what will happen. I hate unfinished stories.
I dont know why, Petrik, but your soothing voice has an ASMR tone to it that's relaxing enough to have in the background while cooking and doing other chores 😁 I must have listened to this video three times throughout the day and those were 17min bursts of productive time well spent
I honestly don't think my voice is at all soothing hahaha. But it seems like some comments have mentioned the same thing you said, and I'm truly grateful it has that effect! 😁 Yay for productivity!
I dig your channel, my dude..A lot of book channels go over the same books and it's refreshing to see books being recommended that I've never heard of before. Will be checking some of them out thanks to you.
That's lovely to hear, dude. Haha, there are too many interesting books beside the popular ones! I hope you'll find a lot of amazing books on this channel! 😄
Hi Petrik, this video made me both very happy, yet somewhat sad... How can this be? You may ask. Well, it made me sad because I haven't read any of these books yet... So I have yet to share in what you experienced. Yet I'm very happy and excited because this means there are awesome books out there just waiting to be cracked open! I enjoyed your presentation, and your energy and passion for these books are contagious...(probably not the best metaphor for 2020). I'm looking forward to many more videos from you in the coming year, I hope you are enjoying it as much as we are enjoying watching 😊. Have a great 2021!
Haha I totally understand that feeling of "Why haven't I read any of these!?" and "I want to read them all!" Thank you for the kind words and support, Vic! Hah! If it's passion for books, having it being contagious is probably the best word for it mwahaha! I am enjoying it! It's not an easy task for me to record and edit all these videos, but I always feel happy and satisfied when I hear the recommendations are helping other readers! 😊 Have a great 2021, too!
Great video Petrik!!!! And as usual adding a lot of these to my TBR. I just finished Jade War as my last book of the year and it was such a good read!!
Petrik, With all your recommendations and best-of lists this month, I have decided to add a special tag on my Goodreads. "Petrik's Favorites". The only other person who I tag is Kitty G. I believe you and Kitty are closest to my personal likes/dislikes and will keep me reading 5-star books for a long time to come! Thanks again, Hope you are having a great day! amy
Oh my god, a special tag!!! 😂 Thank you so much, Amy! What an honor, and I think you made the right decision to do one for Kitty G; she's awesome! You're welcome, I hope you have a great day, too! 😊
I loved Black Sun it was incredible. I have the Bone Shard Daughter, The Cemetery of Forgotten Books and the Poppy War Trilogy on my TBR for next year.
I didn't realise Anna Stephen's had a new book out in 2020. I read and enjoyed her GodBlind series in 2020 so will have to check that new book out. Also really excited to get to Bone Shard Daughter and John Gwynne's second trilogy
I've read only the first book in Godblind trilogy prior to this and I thought it was good. This one was much superior though imo! I think you will love Bone Shard Daughter, and of course, Of Blood and Bone trilogy!! 😄
Thank you so much for your videos, I used to follow your reviews on good reads and I was ecstatic to find that you were going to step into the booktube world. Also, thank you for the recommendations, my to read list is expanding, and that's always a good thing.
You're so welcome!! Having endless books on our TBR is pile is a good problem to have! And thank you for following my reviews on Goodreads as well! I'll try to make more book reviews on this channel, too, next year! 😊
And here I went into this video with the preconceived notion that I probably added your top books into my tbr wishlist from watching the previous videos...and I was definitely proven wrong :) There was one...The Crimson Queen (and if it was mentioned previously I somehow missed it)! This list reminded me I really want to read Shadow of the Wind soon...it has been sitting on my shelf unread for way too long. You had a great reading year and hoping your 2021 reads will be even better...Happy Holidays!
I don't think I've mentioned The Crimson Queen on this channel before, so you're not missing out! And yes please give The Shadow of the Wind a read!! And thank you so much, I hope 2021 will brings more happiness and positivity to you! Happy Holidays! 😄
Awesome video! I really love your brief but meaningful commentary on each of the books/authors on the list. You just expanded my TBR by a whole lot!!!!
Thank you, Benjamin! Sometimes I'm conflicted on whether I've said too little or too much, but I think on lists like this, these are the optimal length for me. Glad to hear it's working for you! 😁
Fantastic video! I keep hearing about joe Abercrombie and grimdark fantasy. I think I may be intrigued by this because I have loved fantasy in the past but I’ve been binging horror novels lately. If I could find something to combine the 2 that’d be amazing. I guess he must be the master of dark fantasy?
Thank you si much! I have just the recommendation for you then! Check out Dreams of the Dying by Nicolas Lietzau. It's a fantastic combination of epic fantasy and horror! 😄
Amazing list thank you so much for sharing! I hope 2021 is a great reading year for you, and I agree the artists have really come through for us in 2020. My book of the year has to be This is How You Lose the Time War!
Merry Christmas Petrik!! Great list (as always no surprise there), and lols for John Gwynne taking the cake :'D I'm still slogging through the first one ha! reading 20 pages a month or so, this has become a tradition with me and JG books :D
Merry Christmas to you, too, my friend!! And thank you, and it's too bad about the tradition with you and Gwynne's books! I hope the second half of A Time of Dread or A Time of Blood will make you love the series like Valor did! 😊
It's always great to watch your videos (though it also always puts a ton of new books on my the😅). It don't really feel like ranking my books but I do have 12 that stood out more than anything else I read this year and a definite top 3. My favourites were: -The Hero of Ages -The Dragon Republic -The King of Attolia -The Mirror Visitor (that's a whole series but I don't really have a favourite) -The Fellowship of the Ring/The Return of the King (depending on my mood which one I like more) -The Way of Kings/Words of Radiance (same here) -Fool's Errand -The Winter of the Witch -The long Way to a small angry Planet Honourable mentions: -The Shadow of the Wind -The Priory of the Orange Tree -Circe Top 3: 3. Ship of Destiny 1. Assassin's Quest 1. The Starless Sea ❤️🥰
Thank you, Yukino! And it's always great to receive a comment from you! Your favorites consists of a LOT of amazing books! Well done! I have Queen's Thief on my TBR, cool to hear that you loved the series! 😉
Hello! One of the new subscribers here, just wanted to say that I enjoyed your precise and very knowledgeable detailing of the books you’ve read. you’ve had great recommendations, several are definitely on my TBR, many that I now want to take a closer look at!
Awesome list Petrik! Definitely going to buy kings of heaven now. I’ve ordered the paper menagerie because of your last review too so thank you for these recommendations. I’ve most of these but i haven’t got around to reading them yet so seeing them in your best of the year books makes me super excited to jump in after Christmas
Thank you, man!! Oh yes, I think you will love Kings of Heaven and The Paper Menagerie! As always, we have so many books of our TBR, I hope you'll enjoy them whenever you get around to them! 😊
You have had a very good reading year. Just finished rhythm of war and loved it so much! So many of these books are on my tbr! Hadn't heard good things in the past about licanious trilogy but will definitely try it now knowing the finale is good. Great video!❤️ Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you so much, Ellyn! Aaaa how amazing was Rhythm of War!? So glad to hear you loved it, too!! I actually really loved Licanius trilogy, but it seems like many Wheel of Time fans have hated it with a fiery passion... 😂 Anyway, if you do give the trilogy a try, I hope you'll love it!
@@PetrikLeo I have had the first one for a while so will give it ago. Maybe I will try before starting wheel of time! Need to get round to some of the releases from the end of this year like the stone knife and fires of vengeance they sound so good!❤️
I just discovered John Gwynne this month because I read Malice and I LOVE him now! What a great list! I did not enjoy The Burning God, though, despite LOVING the first two books of that series! 😭
I'm super glad to hear that! And here's the thing, Malice is his weakest work, so yes you have a LOT of amazing reading ahead of you. It's too bad about The Burning God, though! I found that to be my favorite of the trilogy, but no worries, we can't all agree on everything! 😊
@@PetrikLeo Yo thanks Petrik. Hope you had a an amazing Christmas 🎅🎁🎄🍺 We had a good one, even though we're in another nationa lockdown over here in the UK 😑
@@ZamWeazle I did, Zam! Well I stayed home, read books, played video game; that's amazing to me! 🎅 Glad to hear you had a good one. I heard about the level 4 lockdown in UK. Stay safe!
Sounds like a great reading year. Next year I will finnally read a book from Rebecca Roanhorse. Black Sun will probably be the one. With your endorsement, I am sure I will love it. I am also amazed by R.F Kuang' s growth and quality of writing at such a young age. Imagine how many more stories she will be able to gift to us in the future! Some of my favorite books this year that were part of a series were... The Prince of Dogs by Kate Elliot book 2 in The Crown of Stars series Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire. A novella in her Wayward children series
I certainly did! One of the best reading year for sure! And I think starting Roanhorse's works with Black Sun is the right choice. Kuang is amazing, she's not even 30 years old yet, it's so exciting to follow her writing career! Oh I've heard about Crown of Stars, but I haven't gotten around to it. I've read Every Heart a Doorway a long time ago but it didn't really click for me. I'm glad you loved it, though! 😁
1. Before they are Hanged 2. Ruin 3. Wizard and Glass 4. Dune 5. Last Argument of Kings 6. The Waste Lands 7. Wrath 8. Fahrenheit 451 9. God Emperor of Dune 10. The Gunslinger
I was reading Hero of ages and I don't know why I started reading Malice and am hooked to Malice now, couldn't stop reading, guess I need to read Hero of ages from the beginning after am done with Malice, great list btw, I can browse about more books now
Thank you, Krishna! Hahah, I can't fault you for doing that, Gwynne's books are amazing! I hope you'll continue to enjoy both Malice and Hero of Ages! 😊
Hi Petrik. Merry Christmas everyone🎄🎅This year I read 196 books. Here are a few of my favorites. Battle Ground by JB Shadow of the Conqueror by Shad Brooks Rhythm of War by BS Troubled Blood by Robert Galbraith Ashes of the SuN by Django Wexler Dragontiarna books by Jonathan Moeller A Testament of Steel by Davis Ashura The Tiger’s Wrath by Marc Alan Edelheit Relentless: A Drizzt Novel by R. A. Salvatore Paternus: War of Gods by Dyrk Ashton The Black Song by Anthony Ryan Return of a Warlord by R.K. Lander Morning Star by Pierce Brown The books are not ranked, there would be many more favorites but I didn’t bother to write more😂I hope Petrik finds something new to read on the list🤓 Ps yesterday I started reading the Cradle series on your recommendation😁👍
196 books!? Yeahhhhh!! Well done! That's a LOT of books! Also, thanks for mentioning your favorite reads. I have A Testament of Steel by Davis Ashura on my TBR, seems like this is loved by many readers! 😁 And I've been eyeing the Tiger's Wrath for a while now! I think you'll love and finish Cradle before the year ends. It's so addictive, enjoy! 😂
@@PetrikLeo Surprise surprise that I read a lot when there is a special year (work and isolate)🤓 I thought I’d read the first 4 books of Cradle this year. Stiger is 👑⚔🛡🐶🐴In the series absolutely awesome characters and battles. Apparently there are 2 more sequels coming and the series created for the same world are great.
Wow so many books and the majority if not all of them fantasy! How do you keep them all from blending and mixing together? This was a great list as always and it just makes me more excited for Dragon Mage^^ Happy Holidays!
Thank you! Happy holidays to you, too! I think more than 80 of the books I read are fantasy this year, I think there are a LOT of variety for them to not blend with each other; there are cases where I unfortunately read something very similar to each other coincidentally, though, but that doesn't happen often. 😁
I’m relatively new to fantasy and trying to keep a very trim TBR because I will probably do good to get through six fantasies in a year. You’re not helping! Have you read any of the Coin and Dagger series by Daniel Abraham (co-author of the Expanse series) or the Masquerade trilogy by Seth Dickinson? I enjoyed the first entry in each but haven’t returned to either yet due to my slow pace. Also, I would love any recs in African-inspired fantasies. I am having trouble finding much available besides The Burning (on my TBR) and Red Wolf, Black Leopard (no thanks!).
Whoops! 😁 I haven't, in my previous video I mentioned that The Dagger and the Coin by Daniel Abraham is one of my priority series to read in 2021! You'll see me talking about them more on this channel eventually! As for Masquerade trilogy, I've read the first book and I couldn't gel at all with the author's writing. Unfortunately, I don't think I've read that many African-inspired fantasies to be able to create a recommendation video yet, you should look forward to The Unbroken (www.goodreads.com/book/show/54467051-the-unbroken) and Son of the Storm (www.goodreads.com/book/show/50718369-son-of-the-storm) that will be published next year, though! Sounds like they will be amazing.
@@PetrikLeo Thanks so much for the reply and recs. I look forward to hearing your comments on The Dagger and the Coin. I found your Baru Cormorant review in your blog. I can understand that reaction. I have added the excerpt of The Unbroken to my reading list and will check back in on the other one closer to publication. Your links helped lead me to an anthology that I think I will try (www.goodreads.com/book/show/53257232-dominion). I definitely like tighter, concise stories and novellas.
Caeden is indeed a very interesting character but Wirr was my favorite in Licanius Man, A time of Courage hits different, I remember how I did need weeks to get over the death of my favorite character at the end of the trilogy. What stung most was that the death was meaningless and by a traitor
Wirr was a great character, too! Also... I know which scene you're talking about. I was seething with rage (in a good way because I'm invested on the character) when that happened... Grahhhh! 😂
I heard so many great things about John Gwynne over the years but I'm still unsure if he is for me. A 200page battle scene sounds like torture tbh... For comparison: Abercrombie is one of my favourite authors but Heroes was by far my least liked of his books. Opinions?
I think it's better to give his debut a try and see how you feel about it. Same with everything, I believe that anything in books can work depending on their execution, even if it's something I usually don't like appearing such as love triangle or insta love. But in this case, it depends on how much you love battle scenes, like do you absolutely hate all battle scenes? If that's the case, then yeah, the last book in the series probably wont work for you. But if there are books with battle scenes that you enjoy, I think this series is worth taking a look. Unlike many authors, Gwynne's battle scenes never felt bored to me because his characters are so on-point in their characterizations, and the battles they faced brought so much intensity. And in comparison to The Heroes, which I enjoyed, too, I think Gwynne's battles are more engaging. So in the end... I'll say just give his books a try, who knows, you might hate the first two books, then you won't have to be curious again! (Sorry for long answer! 😂)
Petrik! How’s it going? I’m about to start The Banished Lands after you and Mike both stated they were your number one books this year! I LOVE animals in books, or other media. How awesome are the animals in this book? No spoilers please!
I'm doing good, Michael! Ah, you're finally starting your adventure in The Banished Lands!! I hope you'll enjoy it. The animal companions in this series are some of the best, seriously, you're going to be in love with them, especially Storm. Enjoy! 😊
Riyria Revelations/Chronicles by Michael J. Sullivan should be at the top of your list for this! The Greatcoats by Sebastien de Castell is also great. And of course Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames! 😊
Thank you, Robin! And yesss!! I know about A Memory of Light! Everyone has mentioned that's the longest battle to be put into a fantasy novel! Hopefully one day I can get to it! 😂
@@PetrikLeo Would be awesome to see what you think after reading ALL the books😂 But no hurry. One question about Abercrombie though: I read the first book in "Shattered Sea" a long Time ago... I know how good everybody claims First Law is, but should I worry, if his writing didn't really click with me in that book? I mean it was a long time ago, maybe I just wasn't well read enough, but it somehow still left an impact for Abercrombie...
@@rastrich I haven't read Shattered Sea, so I could be wrong on this, but as far as I know many fans of Abercrombie has pretty much agreed that (even when they love the series) it is his weakest work. I think you really should give The Blade Itself a try, too. It is definitely what he's known for, and it's for many good reasons! 😊
@@PetrikLeo I mean I plan on reading it anyways... It's just, that I had a bit of a bad start with grimdark apparently 😂 I mean I write really dark stuff myself and find to enjoy dark stories, etc. very much, but have never read a "real" Grimdark Book. But thanks for your words, it took away some of my scepticism about Abercrombie :) But thanks for the
Rhythm of War is my favorite adult fantasy book of 2020. 😍 But your list is filled with so many intriguing books. I just want to read them all! Aaah, I'm so glad to have found your amazing channel! 🎉
Amazon Spain kindle editions of We are the dead (The Last War #1) by Mike Shackle and A little hatred (The age of Madness #1) by Joe Abercrombie are (December 26th) 1,19€ each. Yeah, I've just bought both of them...
Your average book length is so long! Well done on reading lots of long fantasies 😅 I might have to stop watching your channel because there are always too many new books to add to my TBR 😂 Merry Christmas Petrik!
Hahah, that's what happens when we're reading epic fantasy constantly. They're all about 500+ pages! 😂 And oh noooo, don't stop! Let's add more books to our TBR pile together! 😂 Merry Christmas to you, too, Brittany!!
Hy Petrik! I’m currently reading Malice, I’m almost finished with it but I found it very slow. Since I like that characters and the world of the Banished Land, I would want to go on with the series, but if the pace does not get faster I’m not sure I have the patience to continue. Does the pace get faster in Valour or should I just put the series down?
Hey Virginia! No worries, there are people who love the series who voiced the same complaint about Malice. But regarding your question, yes, the pacing in Valor, Ruin, and Wrath improved significantly; Valor is almost all actions. My advice is give Valor a read, if by the end of it you don't feel absorbed with it yet, feel free to drop the series, it might not be for you and that's completely okay! 😊
Tbh I literally hear this same issue with every first book of an epic fantasy series...like ever! Lol Way Of King's...slow Jade City ...slow Assassin's apprentice...slow Game Of Thrones...slow Wheel Of Time...slow ...etc I'm not knocking people's opinions or any of these fantasy series btw It's merely just an observation from booktube comments.
Oops! 😂 Please don't feel down about it, though! This is a crazy year, I know a lot of people who love reading have struggled with reading this year; it differs for many people. 😁
Wait, I feel stupid now - I didn't know Shadow of the Wind has *three* follow-ups! I read it last year for the first time and even though I had my issues with I enjoyed it quite a lot so I definitely gonna pick up the other ones! ☺️
It's okay, you're not stupid! I know that a lot of people didn't know that The Shadow of the Wind has three sequels! 😅 I hope you'll love the rest of the series, they're amazing, imo! 😊
I will reread John Gwynne books until I die. Just the chapter where Corban fights Sumur in Ruin eclipses the joy I received in entire other series. If you could please message me either here or on goodreads the name of the booktuber you gave a shoutout to please. I couldn’t quite catch it. Cheers Kousinn
Same here! That duel is one of my favorite duels in fantasy. As for the other booktuber I gave a shoutout, too, it's Elliot Brooks. She's a great person, and I love her channel! :)
Haha I received a lot of requests on this, but I don't think I will. To be honest, I don't have that many VERY disappointing books this year, only 4 books, I think. They're the third book in Moontide Quartet by David Hair, the first two books in Traitor Son Cycle series by Miles Cameron, and Sailing to Sarantium by Guy Gavriel Kay. 😂
@@PetrikLeo You must know all the best books to pick 😊 Keep up the great work on Goodreads and RU-vid, I really value your opinion and look forward to some more great content from you in 2021 ☺️ Happy NY 🥳
@@shylie-maree1359 thank you so much, Shylie. I've been feeling down today, and not gonna lie, your comment just arrived at the right time to boost my spirit up again! Happy New Year!! 😊
It's a completed series! Even if the author hasn't passed away, I don't think it will be possible to continue the series due to how conclusive the four books have been. 😊
Hahahaha! I will reach blackout super fast! 😂 Most of my readings are on trilogy or series (oh whoops here we go again) so it's hard not to mention them.
