I'm thinkin of that as a late night snack burger since it's going on midnight as I'm watching😃. And yep I heard that crunch when you sliced into it. That's the point I started drooling, lol. And I also heard that crunch when you took that bite. Looks & sounds pretty tasty.😋 P.S. glad you sliced that bacon in half, that makes any sandwich so much better when the bacon to the rest of sandwich ingredients are all under the bun with only little bits sticking out. The ingredient ratios are perfect that way imo.
There's nothing wrong with using metal on cast iron - it's damn near indestructible and there is no synthetic non-stick coating to worry about damaging with metal utensils.
