"Caramelization" mustard has ZERO sugar. That's not 'caramelized', it's burnt. That's why it stuck to the pan like that. The onions weren't either, they were just browned a bit.
Yeah, I think that was stupid too, not the first time I’ve seen a cook that thought the mustard deal was a good idea, but that was not the stupidest of stupid things he did with this burger …fake cheese slices… WTF? You have to be an absolute clown to ever use “American cheese” on anything. MAGA …Make Americancheese Good Again …and use actual cheese!
There isn’t a single person who cooks that saw him do that mustard and didn’t think “Well that ain’t gonna work.” In his defense, he did say it’s the best cheeseburger he has ever made and it had two distinguishing ingredients. Onions and sauce. Haha so maybe he’s just new to the “making burgers” world.
Absolutely if you’re going to have a fat frickin burger, then it’s a single always. Nobody’s enjoying that burger it’s too much meat to everything else…toast another bun paco…
@@theredshow2397 Why are your eyes rolling? lol You know I can see you also toasted him. You said he didn’t need to cut the burger in half cause he already knew it was raw.
I think carmelizing is something that happens to sugars so you're right but as long as you don't burn it, mustard's flavor can be enhanced this way, we used to do it when I was a kid and its pretty tasty.
I'm sure this taste good he did everything well... but "caramelize" doesn't mean to just turn shit brown rofl it involves adding some amoung of sugar to the product and caramelizing the sugar. He sauteed those onions and just heated that mustard till it stuck to the grill lol
@@bradleysooter9735 it can take hours to properly caramelize a large amount of onions... But typically takes about an hour. EDIT: to clarify that it takes hours for a decent amount of onions, but I guess everyone on youtube has more knowledge than someone with technical chef training...

Hi there, If you do not mind me sharing; a well-planned, organic, unrefined and untempered with vegan diet (consuming raw plant foods where possible so as not to denature or destroy the life-forces and enzymatic activities beneficial to the human system. If disagreeing on this matter, please take some steamed carrots, plant them and see if they will grow; if not, it is because they are 'dead' plant food that cannot benefit one's 'living' cells) consisting of organic fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds and whole grains is the best diet to provide mankind with ultimate health and longevity. Regarding the whole protein concern for vegans is exaggerated from gathered information especially that there are 'high protein' plant food sources e.g nuts and legumes; People showing signs of deficiencies e.g those showing signs of anorexia, actually need plant food sources such as starchy carbohydrates that help with weight gain than protein. I highly encourage being a sceptic, research things for yourself, and you will find out that the diet shared with you is actually for your own good (even if it means making small changes here and there, i would encourage) e.g processed meats (like salted meats) are classified as carcinogenic to humans in Group 1, which is as bad as it can get, where as plant foods are classified as anti-cancer foods. Please avoid factory produced meat alternatives whose chief ingredient can be 'soy' and may contain preservatives as well as additives (e.g vinegar, a corrosive agent). Food toxicity and nutrient deficiency (e.g white bread, white rice and white sugar) are a deadly combination as one is hindering the body's building materials needed to action healing whilst at the same time taxing the system with more toxic stuff, thus bringing about disease and possibly even an early death. Yeah I never understood the point of these giant burgers, you'd have to disassemble the damn thing to eat it because it's waaaaay too thick. The only time two patties ever makes sense is for really thin smash burgers. Otherwise it all just becomes a giant wad of meat that you have to struggle to bite through.
Y'all guys are pussies. There's a burger restaurant where I live that serves burgers that are taller then my head and I can eat them without having to disassemble them.
Simplicity is often most delicious. Also quality of ingredients and cooking technique improves the finished product by heaps too. Would much rather have this than anything any major fast food chain sells, that’s for sure.
Imo I don’t even know how people eat that it has to be rlly thin for me to even think of eating it that I would just yake out the burger and use it for smth else
This guy's whole recipe is wrong almost every step was like "no, you don't do that." "no, those patties are too big for a double." Like seriously if you want a half pound of beef on a burger do yourself a favor and just go make a fuckin steak.
Seriously, and all the spices added to the patty after it’s started cooking! 99% of that is wasted. Honestly, don’t overthink hamburgers: beef/bun/catsup is crazy good when done right. Make a perfect bare bones burger first before you go trying to add crap to it.
As a person of German descent, I agree with Germany in burger making - burgers should be wide, not tall. Tall burgers are messy and fall apart. Wide burgers are superior
@@frankferrero5827 Bruh, North America revolutionized cooking all over the world. I bet you can't even cook the simplest meal for yourself, but keep talking shit
@@rallymallette5384 Like a lot of American food it's all about cutting corners. @narvul You just listed the ingredients of Colman's mustard, which is British and not American. And American Cheese is made from melting down and stabilizing a bunch of different cheeses to make use of all our excess from rampant dairy farm subsidies (feel free to look up the Cheese Caves for a wild read). Dude has several issues with that burger, and you decided to make it a nationality issue for no reason.
@@allgreatfictions some people like big burger because it can replenish their hunger bar for 6 hour and gain +5 mood buff with -1 mood lost due to sticky sauce and cheese, but they can just wash themselves to remove this mood lost
I don't understand how only meat with sauce and cheese could be the best hamburger, where I live in Brazil you get a hamburger with meat, bacon, sausage, egg, lettuce, tomato, cheese, sauce, pepperoni, corn. It's delicious and doesn't look gigantic like this hamburger he made
Videos like this are hilarious to watch.2021 is the year where everyone will announce their chef status on Tik tok LOL. If your looking for a sear on the burger all you need is salt and pepper. Also you seasoned the wrong side, therefore no char.
There is always going to be that negative f*ck . That loser who can't do sh*t himself so he has to take the time to scour other peoples video lists just to find any mistake he can to make himself feel like a winner!
Normal may be the best 😂 I would chose a McDonald’s or Burger King burger over a gourmet burger, it’s not maint to be gentle, its maint to fuck you up with that nasty sauce and it’s what makes it special 🧛♂️
@@charger2991 well they're not wrong, firstly the Patty's are way too thick, the onions aren't even caramelized ffs more like satuéd and look qt them buns they will get soggy with all the fat from the patty's they aren't toasted granted the bottom one does seem so.

MagmaBlaster9 that’s why he didn’t cut into it , he didn’t give it enough time to throughly cook through and it’s ground beef so it isn’t safe to eat raw on the inside
Use a brain he obviously talking about the taste of the burger not the way it looks. Because intelligent people like myself are wondering where the tomatoe and lettuce are.
@@The_Mad_King_Aerys let me dumb myself down to your intellectual understanding, you obviously have a rotted brain out probably filled with fortnite and warzone crap. Those were caramelized onions, not slightly brown at all, they were very brown. Just because it wasnt paste, doesnt mean they werent caramelized. There are levels of caramelized.
Criticize a guy who successfully refrained from turning perfectly good onions into sloppy paste strictly because of his use of the word “caramelized”, a new low.
@@Crucisimplybetter it's not a very great burger. I've cooked burgers that have the same exact ingredients, including his little mustard trick except only 2 slices of cheese instead of 4 (four is WAY too many). It isn't any better or worse, deffinately not the "best" or anywhere near the best.
@@TheReal_Dirty_Dan you could say that about anything lmao (hot dog: bread and meat, salad: lettuce, ice cream: ice and sugar) because that is merely the definition of a burger and a lot of people like it
