@@Carl-dj6csnah you see some guys with poor arms so they either use synthol or just have poor arms, you see people with poor quad sweep, some use synthol for that. I don’t know how may times I’ve seen guys that have never even been to a gym with massive calves, and some guys who nail them 3 times a week and still don’t have the calves of some people who never train them, it’s defo genetics! The only way it could be penalised is if the rest of the physique had bad flaws too cos no one with amazing everything but calves is going to lose against someone with amazing calves and mediocre everything else!

Samsons calves is the only reason he will beat Rafa brandeo forever. They are very important! Samsons diamond calves are maybe his coolest angular flow. The only other iconic of Samson has to be his handsome smile :,). And second detail that makes Samson great for body building, is Samson is a three hundred pound black dude with a guitar pic vacuum. I wanna watch samsons vlogs now!
William Bonac has incredible calves. Joel Thomas also. I think Quintons are almost too big. Most aesthetic goes to antoine or hunter. Samson has great calves highly inserted but huge.
Calves are a pet peeve of mine in body building. I dont think shitty calves are punished harshly enough. A Mr O top 5 should never have Denis Wolf or Iain Valliere level calves.

Derek's calves were never good, but now that his back keeps ballooning like an aneurism it's making his calves look ridiculous AND making his arms look even smaller than they are. And btw: I like Derek but he needs to remember the importance of aesthetics and symmetry 'cuz he didn't beat Hadi based on conditioning!
Is it weird that I sexualize calves in women lol. I find calves are incredibly aesthetic for both genders and I train calves even when doing upper body day (I have upper/lower body split). When calves look big compared to the quads/glutes/hamstrings, I either admire, or admire even more. By far the most underrated bodypart out there. When you have huge calves, you can create a double-sweep effect that's simply impossible with just glutes, hams, and quads. Compare Mohammed Shabaan, Hadi choopan, Iain Valliere or Akim Williams lower body with Dorian Yates, Flex Lewis, Quinton Eriya, Paul Dillet. Even if they have bigger quads/hamstrings/glutes, they still get completely obliterated in the lower body when it comes down to aesthetics. A great double sweep will always dominate a freaky single sweep in pure aesthetics.
Striation yes but its a mess. No good separation between inner and outer. Inner should also be lower and outer slightly higher or both same level. Dorian has the perfectly shape where Ronnie although big but not the fav shape because his inner calve is higher than the outer. The best calves should atleast cover more than half length of lower legs.
Franhousers calves totally destroyed his whole balance and siluette, if i imagine his calves on Wolf then i rather have those Wolfs original, cause it would again crushes his physique
