My favourite carries are the ones that perform well in the overworld and dont need to use their Q all the time and add some form of movement (Wanderer, Neuvilette, Al Haitham)
cyno probably has it worst for the hypercarries,, he literally does not do damage outside of his burst. i love the idea of a character that can spam skills but he just feels kinda underdeveloped for me. even his c4 excludes himself from getting energy. its like they want him to feel bad to play
Same. One of the reasons i like ganyu over ayaka. Most of ganyus damage is from charged attacks while ayaka is mostly from her burst. Have both so can speak from experience i like ganyu more than ayaka

Neuvillette is my favorite hypercarry because you can play him by E-Qing then triple charge attacking, but you can also play him quick swappy and switch to other characters between charge attacks. I absolutely hate the carries that have a buff state that they lose on switch.
Exactly. To this day I believe every carry should have Noelle burst mechanic on switch, you should not get punished for playing a 4 person team by playing all 4 people
I think that the everybody tends to love what we are used to play the most. Like, Ayaka was my 1st 5* character and everytime I play her I feel like home. Despite having other good options like Lyney, Raiden or Alhaitham, she feels so good to me, most of all because I'm so used to her.
I got Diluc back in 1.1 and now I have him at C5. He is looked down upon by the community but I love his smooth playstyle and he Def feels like home to me.

Alhaitham grew a lot on me over the months. I pulled him on a whim, but after I learned how to properly manage his mirrors, he became so strong. he's always on my abyss runs now
@@meegoreng5142 Start the abyss floor with either his Burst (better) or Elemental Skill (if you dont have the burst energy) the key to using him smoothly is checking how many shards he has left (the 3 leafs things that float next to him), when you use either his Q or E do normal attacks until you see the shards attack 3 times, once you've seen it 3 times (could be 2 depending on your current cooldowns and stuff but charged attack gives you back 2 shards, burst gives you 3, can't remember how many his skill gives you but either 2 or 3) you use his 1) If you've used his Skill first you use Charged attack, as that will get you more shards 2) If you've only used his Burst use his Skill, repeat the 3 flashes of the mirror shards and then use his Charged Attack until you run out of every shard. It sounds complicated but once you get used to paying attention to his shards its easier! Main focus is using his cooldowns and attacks in a smart way so you can keep the shards number always at 3, once you can't do anything with him you just swap and start setting up the next rotation.

You use his burst> wait for 2 rains of his mirrors to fall down> use his E> Wait for 2 rains of his mirrors to fall down> Use his charge attack> and wait for 2 rains of his mirrors to fall down. That's the best way to maintain his mirrors at C0 as far as I know
I have Cyno and Neuvillette and it's night and day What makes me come back to Cyno is his animations. His E is kinda satisfying. Besides that Neuvillette just is sooo much flexible. He is the DPS and Healer
I enjoy playing both but I come back to Cyno way more, his TF combos are very fun to pull off and like Childe when you learn to manage your resources and buffs his rotation is buttery smooth
i also have both and while i enjoy both equally, they feel very different from each other. If you like a braindead style then Nev is the one for you. If you like exact timing and a satisfying E then Cyno is a good choice. It just depends on how many braincells i feel like exerting on a certain day. xD

I think becoz its c6r5 that they are concerning ..some character cons will just change how they play ..they wont fit in their usual c0 teams anymore so either have to force them in or change the team or rotation

Why would they not bother about teams? I assume most people that whale for a character like that character, so they want to see them do the most damage possible. You can’t do that without an actual team.
I think my favorite thing about wriothesley as a carry is that his damage floor makes him really comfortable to run in the overworld. I can’t say the same about Itto, even though he’s my best built character. Of course I’m not getting as much out of him if I don’t set up a burning melt rotation, but the overworld J just need to hit his E, he deals good damage, and his E is back up in 15 seconds. No energy requirement, no extended rotation. The one problem I have is that usually enemies die from his fifth NA so I can’t used the enhanced CA to heal him lol.
@@destructo3457 he definitely requires more vertical investment than a lot of characters to be good, I still think his C0 kit is atrocious with the way his E and self-healing passive work, but I have him C2R1, lv 90, 10/10/9 and he’s solid.

Same here, I underestimated how good Wrio feels in overworld. ice punching everything to death no questions asked feels smooth. It also makes him great for co-op meanwhile my xiao or raiden can decimate abyss enemies but feel kind of awful to use in the outside lol
Neuvilette is so BROKEN I only started playing august and man he completely changed my account i spent half of all fragile on that fontaine domain i got pretty good artifacts for him, fischl and furina and man he hit so hard i used to struggle so much lmao
My best carry right now is neuvillette and the team I discovered that works best for him is furina-baizhu-jean. I know that running double healer is not needed but neuvi and furina together do so much dmg that you don’t need any other off field dps so the double healer option is just very comfortable
@@brunomellocouto583 none of it is really good. kazuha is not good with furina because of diminished returns but you still definitely want the vv effect in this team. jean basically does the job of kokomi and kazuha, so just use her instead of these two. now you have space for a strong driver and carry like ayato or childe

@@ladderlappen4585Ironically none of them has the uptime that Kokomi brings (childe can but long CD). Kazuha's A4 buff may not he as valuable in other teams but it's still worth, especially early into the rotation. Not to mention his grouping is definitely a big advantage.

When I got Hu Tao, I had to grind my ass off to make her work, and I have a decently built Yelan + Xingqiu to go with her too. Good characters need vertical investment to shine.

But the larger problem is that the term "Whale" just like the term "Fish" are paraphyletic or in less kind terms 'taxonomical nonsense' because they don't include all members with a shared ancestor. For the case of Narwhals I feel it's clearer to distinguish if we do the same for dolphins. We were just memeing around anyway : )

now that furinas out i want to try a team of alhaithem,yaoyao,kuki,furina. since furina needs a full team healer i pretty much need yao yao. other then him my favorite hypercarrys are childe and itto
For casuals? Sure but for someone with more Skill he is just another dps. His AoE is great tho but other carrys like hu tao alhaitham or lyney are just as good
Is it better to run Yae c0 as an electro dmg with Neuvillette+Furinf+Jean, or c6 Fischl still is better? Yae's totems dont snapshot, so they constantly recieve dmg% buff from Furina's ult, and Fischl's Oz doesnt?
in most solo electro teams yae deal more dmg than fish. But as much as i like yae, in neuvilette teams, where you basically have 0 downtime, i prefer fishl for the shorter field time, and my fish is not even C6 yet. If my team allows me to have some downtime when im free to do whatever i want, i use yae (for example a quickbloom team, or tighnari spread, raiden hyper), if i can spend unlimited time on my main carry, i prefer fishl (neucilette teams, kequing aggrevate)
Cyno is in an interesting place. He benefits a ton from Nahida being at c2 AND he works well with Baizhu on that team… which enables the heck out of Furina. Furina buffs Nahida AND Cyno and both don’t get a ton of elemental damage bonus outside of Furinas buff. So, if you decided to invest into c2 nahida and c2 Furina, cyno takes veerrrryy good advantage of both of them. Sure, you could argue the same for Raiden but I think Cynos longer field time and EM scaling suits this team much better. Granted, most of the time you’d be playing each archon seperate… but if you do combine their powers, Cyno is a great character to take advantage of all the buffs and enable damage
i think its kinda unfortunate that his biggest downside is that his best teammate is nahida despite the anti synergy with his kit in multiwave. we will probably never get a dendro version of xingqiu/yelan that is on the level of nahida
I'd disagree with Nahida having a low amount of dmg%, with her having 15% from her set, up to 80% from her passive, and another 46% from her goblet. It's possible you go em goblet over dmg% goblet but that's still 95 dmg%. I agree it's a buff for Cyno though, but he's taking far more advantage of the buff than Nahida is. Alhiatham generally just works in that core better as well, Raiden I wouldn't argue being better here since you'd just play Raiden hyper and drop the hyperbloom.

Only reason why I still use Cyno is because C2 with Sara speedruns are fun and attack speed is fun, outside of Abyss, that mf hasn't seen the light of day since forever. Bro need to pop Q to kill an enemy in 3 attacks then goes back to funneling energy for 3 business days before he can Q again.
I agree with most things said but I gotta say Wanderer doesn't feel "bad" to play without Faruzan C6. But having her C6 DOES make him feel better. I have him C2 R1 because he's my favorite character, and yet I don't have Faruzan C6 yet lol, she's only C4. It's true that you have to commit to him because his multipliers + being anemo... without enough investment you might feel like he just tickles the enemies. But like any hypercarry, give him good artifacts and a proper team and suddenly he starts destroying everything, becoming rly fun to play. Him flying helps bypass many boss and enemy mechanics (such as the Exp Field Generator from 4.1), he attacks fast and he's flashy. I will say though I wish he were stronger, like another element such as Electro, Cryo or Pyro, or with higher multipliers had Hoyo not been a coward. I love his lore and it makes sense that he's Anemo and I like that, but Anemo is more of a supportive element really and Faruzan, without C6 (or even with C6), doesn't feel like enough - he's the Shogun's son, he should be AS powerful or impactful as her. Nonetheless, he's fun to play, and with the right investment he feels great and destroys everything. I can comfortably clear the Abyss with him, even against bosses like Coppelia. But even without the right investment, I would say he doesn't "feel bad" to play. Esp in overworld. I'm trying to use Furina and Faruzan (or Yelan/Xingqiu) with him so I'm experimenting with things which I found to be interesting. Such as Marechaussee Hunter set with ATK% goblet. I'd like to know your (Zajef's) thoughts on this? And has anyone else has tried it yet? :0
@@francescoettwedda-1875 they're "good" but because it's anemo and many enemies have high anemo resistance nowadays they don't feel as impactful without c6 Faruzan. You can't melt or vaporize them. You can't aggravate or spread. Your only option is swirl and that's not optimal for him. So it's just raw dmg w dmg boosts. I think that because he's an anemo character his multipliers should've been higher. Take Hu Tao as an example, even without teammates she deals very respectable damage on her own, and vaporizing makes her damage skyrocket. Wanderer however on his own is nothing impressive. Very good with supports yeah, but he's lacking a lil oomph. Don't get me wrong, I love him, he's my favorite and I can easily 36* the abyss with him, but I am somewhat disappointed with his C0 kit.

Regarding Al Haitham with(out) Xingqiu, I usually just run Spread with Al Haitham / Nahida / Beidou / Kuki Only thing that sucks about it is that it takes away Nahida from other teams...

Running Baizhu in place of Nahida in haitham teams can actually be pretty good. U can change the team structure to be more offensive like replacing Xinqiu with Furina, and Kuki with Raiden. Might run into er issues, but shouldn’t be too bad with a couple favs
Idk abt Charlotte but in Neuv + Furina + Fischl + Jean, my Jean is 168%. But she's using Amenoma R5 and Fischl's there for extra energy So it really depends on your team comps and the weapon she use.
For weapon, Fav / Sac / Amenoma are the best options. Preferably Fav for team energy or Amenoma. ER% if needed otherwise ATK% / ATK% / HB% or CritRate if Fav.
@@bondrewddd5076 C4 Jean is a bait for Wanderer in my opinion, The enemy has to be in the zone for the effect to apply and the second they leave the zone the res drop falls off. Faruzan also buffs damage by more before C6.
zajef - i like playing xingqiu because he makes playing the game/other characters (like alhaitham hyperbloom) comfortable everyone to zajef - skill issue honest to god if yelan had xingqiu's rainswords that give interrupt resist and healing why even play xingqiu other than just having him in a 2nd team for abyss lol we've really reached the point where if you're not using yelan and you use xingqiu instead its called a skill issue genshin players when they realize not everyone plays this game with perfect-frame dodging/positioning
He still has higher hydro app than yelan and access to atk buffs, nobody plays the game with perfect dodging and even if someone plays close to perfect xingqiu interrupt res and tad bit of healing is still insanely useful, not to mention his c2 gives him really nice support for hydro units as well
XQ res is literally useless when you can just dodge enough damage to stay alive. you dont need perfect dodging at all and lets be real when you play tao furina yelan its the enemies that need damage reduction. XQ is benched for life imo

Furina forces a defensive option (healer) while Xingqiu IS the defensive option. This is assuming we're discussing teams where it's Furina or Xingqiu and not talking about using them together.

Furina is not good at team where Kokomi is good at (namely Freeze and Nilou Bloom) and vice versa. Rather than replacing, pairing both of them together is amazing.

I wouldn't say they both want each other on the team though, if you're playing both you're stuck with mono hydro, hyperbloom, freeze, for vape. Mono hydro is the best out of the options and is a good team but not in any way Furina's best option, with hyperbloom you'll have no one to take good advantage of the buff since there will be little quicken uptime so why not use Yelan and Xinqqui instead for better hydro application and more damage, with freeze you don't want to give Kokomi field time so you won't have full hp from your 2nd rotation onward to maintain stacks and with vape the off field pyro is Xiangling, so just play international instead for an Anemo and Bennet.
I wouldn’t say Ayaka is in the “best carry” category because she requires so much investment to be good, as much as I love using her. She was my first five star, I have her C4R1 now, and I use her every day. Doesn’t mean she’s the “best carry” because there’s a big difference between a four star support team for her and her premium team.
Wait what, Ayaka has one of the best f2p options for artifact and can run a free weapon in amenoma and dominate... I don't think it's always the primogems problem for people, and it's not even like Ayaka with Sucrose, Diona and Mona/Kokomi(replacing Diona with something like Rosaria in case you have Koko) don't have high damage. I'd go as far as to say Ayaka is the best carry to go for a beginner who also gets better with the more investment you put into her. Idk this is my view as an Ayaka haver. Like seriously my Ayaka clears the blizzard domain faster than my Hu Tao when I use her with Bennett and Kazuha. And no my Tao has 70/245 crit, 121 em, 30K+ hp and sig weap so I wouldn't say she's even that bad.. it's just another case of the "I try playing this but Ayaka deals more damage" thing. Now I do admit I don't have Al Haitham or Neuvilette so I can't give opinions on who is better among Ayaka vs AL and Neuvi but I have all the other dps that are considered very good. Being in the top 3 should let her be classified into the "best carry" category no?

I've been playing since 1.6 i pulled hu tao on her first rerun and ran them together for the longest time(yelan came out) and now with furina xq hasn't touched my party since and i don't think i'm gonna use him that much anymore. I'm not a hard hard core player but i do try to 36 star abyss every time (except if the wolf lord boss is in it) and i just don't think xq is THAT good (still top 5 characters tho but not1l

I somehow have C6 Dori, C6 Beidou, C6 Xinyan. The only C6 4* I have that I actually want are Xinqui and Bennett, and that's mainly cus of the starglitter store

Eh meh, the most aggressive and hard hitting enemies we had in the abyss so far were the consecrated beast circus we got a few patches ago. didn't need to run my Alhaitham with XQ, just my typical Nahida, Yelan, Kuki, Alhaitham. It's just either unluckiness or skill issue that you'd take two strong hits and die. Alhaitham is already comfortable without xingqui
if i use kuki i bring a healer for her kokomi or yaoyao. if she healed herself and the active characters only i wouldn't have a problem with her. i know i could skill wait a bit for a healing tick but i normally switch to someone else.
Fun question, is there a difference in who you use for Al Haitham hyperbloom? Like between xingqui and Yelan? I saw many using Yelan upon his release but overtime seen more xingqui. Is there any reason or is it just the casual zajeff preaching his love for xingqui I just know double hydro hu tao and you'd almost always run Yelan with yoimiya lol
XQ offers alot more compare to Yelan's pure dmg, he gives you dmg reduction + a little bit of healing + resistance to interuption, all that combine plus Kuki makes your Alhaitham significantly tankier and less diesofcringe to play
Yelan will give you more damage, xingqui more survivability it's just that easy to differentiate. However it's nice that Alhaitham doesn't suffer as much from not having interruption resistance as other carries because his E triggers are time locked, u just want to trigger them everytime u can and other than that it's fine to get ragdolled around for not much of a DPS loss.

Completely disagree with your opinion about Wonderer and itto. they can both work without the 4* being c6 . I have them both . I dont always use him with faruzan c6 .Wonderer can be played with many other characters and be super good . My itto its C0R1 and gorou its only c1 in monoGeo he easily does 55k dmg per slash.
My Ganyu C0 clear abyss with good times, just need to be well invested. (Good artifacts and Amos + the 5* team). If Ganyu can do it in this abyss, any carry can do it. And im here with C2 Itto and C5 Gorou =/
Bruh, When did Gan Yu suddenly become a “examplulary bad” character? Sure, she is Far Less impressive than before, and not a top-tier, but she is very far from being “bad” for this to make sense. But there are LOTS of much worse chars in the game, including 4-star Dps, Diluc, Klee, Eula, Itto, Aloy etc
@@Uefeti Current abyss is full of bosses and enemies that are hard to group. So its not a very good abyss for her. Thats what i mean. She have an easier time on non boss abyss floors with freezable enemies. And if you are saying Diluc, Klee, Itto, Eula and Aloy are all the same you probably never played any of them seriously. My C2 Itto without C6 Gorou and with R5 SS can get really good abyss times even comparing to my top teams (Neuv and Nahida).
@@Tnscla I’m an Itto Main, with both c6 Gorou, c4 Itto, his Signature and the Best Temcomp he got. Itto sucks. With all this investment he loses hard to Nev and Bloom Teams with C2 Nahida, and even to Wanderer Variants.. . He’s a 100% just-for-fun character, and requires so much more then Gan Yu to work. I’m not saying he’s bad, Diluc, Eula are worse, but he’s not good either. On C0, with energy issues, he is even worse.

Wanderer is the most underrated carry by far , people think less of him cause he is pure hypercarry maining he do most of the damage in the team so investing in him is a must for good results and on his release almost no one have a good set for him

Because at his level of investment all of this is irrelevant. He can play yoi 2geo 2pyro (bennet, yunjin, zhongli) and still clear abyss just fine without any vapes. Okay so, if a five star requires a dedicated 4star to feel good to play - he dislikes that. But if a five star requires a certain hydro sword 4 star to feel good to play - he likes that. I smell Hypocrisy.
A c0 Xingqiu is enough if you have good skills, both for Hu Tao and Alhaitham. Also, you can buy him and his constellations from the shop and he's been around since launch. It's not comparable to Faruzan who is not obtainable from the shop and will rerun only with Wanderer and who is been around for a year and 2 times in rate up.
Xingqiu needs almost no constellations to not feel like shit and works with almost everyone Faruzan feels absolutely horrible to use until she's at high Constellations and on paper only effectively supports exactly two character at the moment. As much as I love Faruzan and Wanderer, I gotta admit that's kind of a shitty move by HYV. Gorou at least has the decency to still work well in Itto's team without high constellations. For the love of god please use some nuance instead of taking everything at face value.
Furina/Wanderer was not the only example Big Z provided - he also mentioned that he didn't like Itto/Gorou - and gorou is perfectly fine without cons just like Xinqiu. So argument still stands.
The amount of team damage gain you get going c0 to c6 xq in most teams is a lot less than you do going c0 to c6 faruzan (or even gorou). Almost all of xq cons relate to his personal damage, which is just a small fraction of the team damage. Whereas faru and gorou c6 are purely for hypercarry so when c6 faru gives a 30% team dps increase it feels shit when you don’t have it.
I like Ayato over Nuev. Understand Nuev has higher damage. Ayato is just more comfy to play and is a great partner for xq. The rotation is much easier and I don't have dodge or bring a shielder.
i got c2 furina in 50 pulls. luckiest summons in my life 😊 c2 i just insane man. i get max stacks almost at the beginning. my c1 neuvi dmg went from 36k per tick in charged attack to 54k . really happy with furina ❤

@@AuthorityCat What does that have to do with the original comment? Them not balancing their game properly isn't "powercreep" in this case. It's just making an underwhelming character on release. I'm not saying you can't play Eula or have fun. I have no clue what point you're trying to make.
Imagine being a whale and you still have problems with game mechanics like vaping Hutao. You're just wasting money at that point. 1. You're actually not playing the game. 2. You're wasting them for nothing. 3. Overall you're just wasting your life working hours and spend them on characters that are forgettable. The same thing with people who pulls for every character. If you have all the characters and you still can't 36 star abyss I pity you. With whales I would've expected you to have atleast 2 minutes left on your runtime every abyss.
