Finally. Finally someone acknowledging how good jean burst feels. I thought i was the only one but that shit just feels like something from an anime plot twist. Like "Ohh no the protagonist is gonna loose" then jean swaps in with her "I swear by my sword" and puts the protagonist back on their feet. And also its soo effortless, with just the twist of her sword

Neuvillette's really feels like the biggest gap between what it looks like should be happening and what is actually happening. At least Zhongli's 8 year long animation results in all the enemies being turned into stone.

there's one instance where i can think where xingqiu's burst doesn't feel good to use. Against those deceptively light as fk lizards (elemental non-boss vishaps, e.g. Primordial Bathysmal Vishap), using your burst can stagger them enough so your skill can miss if you don't dash towards them or they get knocked out of bennet burst.

that keqing extra s feels really good with coppelia. the wind just pushes keqing out of the middle and keeps u safe lol

i think itto's burst deserves a lot more credit for how heavy + fast his charge attacks feel, but yeah you could say it's just the infusion and not the burst it self

Diluc's ult would feel and perform a whole lot better if all of its "potential" damage was condensed into 1, at most 2 hits. The phoenix is cool and all and it's fun to send enemies flying, but it's not so fun when they're still alive after carrying them a mile away.

baizhu's burst feels bad to use when you get staggered while you're doing E+Q , give up and just do Q+E instead without interruption it's one of the most satisfying E+Q for me along with tighnari

while not my favorite I like dendro traveler burst. it's a short animation but it has a surprising amount of versatility works great for spread/aggrevate. its really good for nilou teams and decent for hyper bloom if you hit it with electro first. you can even use it in meme teams detonating it like a bomb similar to diluc burst.

Removing burst animations would just make every character feel like a 4 star character, no appeal whatsoever. This tier list was from his perspective of practicality of use. Meanwhile, the animator that was mentioned in the beginning of the video, ranked the bursts in an artistic perspective. And yes, Yelan's burst is the one that feels the best to use.

I think Furina's burst is similar to Ayato's, the i-frames end too early before the animation finishes

I think the same with Zajef. Using 4* characters' bursts doesn't feel a loss of dps at all regardless how much they actually contribute. Ones like Kazuha's, Nahida's, etc although maybe strong, ends up pretty bad to use. Press Xingqiu's Q doesn't cost you anything. It can't snapshot, it has almost no dead time allowing you to press it any time but it's still one of the most powerful Bursts in the game.

xiao is s tier for me, because when i can use my c6 it feels severely good, pure serotonin. and when i cant use the c6, its still s because the increased damage overtime is just satisfying

It will always be raiden - good nuke, booba, slashy slash, energy back, rotate again

I feel like rosaria's burst problem doesn't matter if the enemy is frozen or if you're in bennet's ult in a melt team, and i don't think rosaria is used outside of those scenarios much

whenever i have zhongli in the team, i always use 5* bursts right next to it so the burst doesn't do the animation and change the camera perspective

Also just wanna say, honorable mention to Nilou's burst as maybe the only burst where the long animation doesn't feel like a downside, because using it to apply hydro to a group of enemies actually maintains your team's DPS while also using the s to dodge enemy hits if necessary. The way it interacts with Nilou's other mechanics and the way that her teams play gives it a lot of extra points compared to others.

Is there a trick to make Amber's burst actually hit anything? It's solid when it works but so often I find she just drops it randomly somewhere on the ground and not on enemies.

There should be a setting/option to use a short version of bursts that are sooo long (elemental burst the movie, zl, exc.. )

For the most part this list makes sense but then he punishes Yelan's tiny bit of burst animation for not being Xingqui as if you dont use them on the same team anyway, Rosaria's burst is easily more useful to her kit and team than Yoimiya's and YaoYao has a burst that you have to wait for everything to happen on screen to get the most out of it and you cant even switch without all the summons disappearing so it's arguable a tier lower.

I don't really like Yaoyaos' burst because the summons disappear as soon as you switch, it might be because I only use her in Nilou bloom tho

Klee's Q feels nice in terms of it cancelling every of her animations, so it's an invincible tool you always have at your disposal Neuvillete feels also nice, you can juggle the enemies with burst and the consequent charged attack, and it feels satisfying. Yelan's and Kazuha's also feel pretty satisfying to use, although Kazuha's can feel frustrating if you get applied an element in the s and you infuse that element instead of the one you want

I'm very partial to Ei's burst. It's just absolute unlimited power. Wait - Zajeff's never used Charlotte's burst? Ie. The part of her kit that heals? He's never healed with this healer?????

Well, my main team is Nahida, Ayato, Kuki, and Zhongli. I don't have an issue with any of their bursts but that might be because you can play the team with just their elemental skills and you basically burst in downtime. And with Zhongli, not really noticing any issues with Ayato lol.

Fischl might actually be my favorite, it's so nice that you can either swap out super quickly or use it as mobility that costs no stamina. You never have to wait for particles while on Fischl either, so she's just really, really smooth overal. (Assuming you have good Oz awareness)

So it wasn't just me that feels Mona's burst is clunky? What is it about her burst? I didn't realize dashing right after her burst could solve that clunkiness. My problem is I would always be unable to switch out or do anything a few seconds after that burst animation ends.. so it's really designed like that? 😱

Zajef said he can't stand when similar 4* and 5* bursts get slowed down by animations but proceeded to place Baizhu in A tier, which basically isThoma's burst but dendro with a way too long animation.

It would be cool to have a way to somehow community rate these based on Animation, How satisfying/impactful it is and How quirky the burst is (i.e Jean is quick, neat but turns your camera which is a bit annoying) and then average them together to see which characters would come out on top

I have not started the video yet but I'm pretty sure this guy is going to go on and on about Xinqiu's burst when objectively it's as basic as it gets lmao but I have resigned to the fact that he will never stop glazing Xinqiu. Also I don't really love playing nahida because she is so short but I do believe her burst sometimes dodges attacks and that's saved me in abyss

By those criteria, Chongyun's Burst is my favorite. Definitely helped by how often i use him tho lol Edit: B!? THE XINGQIU BIAS IS SHOWING THERE'S NO WAY CHONGYUN GOT PUT IN B! Seriously, it may not do much damage, but it's the most satisfying. Especially when he's on Noblesse and quickly followed by Kazuha VV for your set up. Xingqiu's just isn't that satisfying to me, the animation is among the WORST, even by the "faster is better" metric, because at least chongyun's animation has some weight to it. Very sad because chongyun is my boy :(

The inconsistencies due to biases are insane:- Ganyu burst: feels really good in freeze teams, does DoT, can swap out, gives additional buffs, decent animation and time period, but not used in melt teams "C Tier" Zhongli burst: Petrifies, cool animation but really long, loses DPS in most teams "Top of B tier" Neuvilette Burst: Does initial dmg, basically only buffs, can switch out, long animation time but is cool "C tier" Xiao, Itto, Cyno Bursts: Only buffs, does nothing else, can't switch out "B Tier" Hu Tao burst: Loses DPS coz less CA "A tier" Venti burst: Best in the game but only when facing Ventiable enemies, sometimes can't catch particles, ok animation "S Tier" WHY is Zajef even talking about how bursts "feel" good to use when he's only used some of these characters, especially Ganyu, once or twice when they came out. His L takes on aesthetics and of the sort just continue to pile on 💀🤡

I have literally never noticed Xingqiu's burst stagger enemies. I'm not saying I don't believe it, but that just has not ever been part of my gameplay, haha. To me his burst basically feels like nothing, neither good nor bad. I don't think I could even rank it.
