Thank you for sharing this video with us. I was on the fence on which Catch can I should buy. Everyone says mighty mouse, but personally, I don't like it. This is a great catch can. I made a purchase and can't wait to install it.
Good video. 👊 👍😁. In your opinion, with as little as I drive my Z and mainly just crusing with some spirited driving sprinkled in there, do you think I REALLY need a catch can? Or, in the future if I'm able to mod my engine, THEN put one on??
I don’t think so…if they needed it at oem power levels I think GM would’ve built a better ventilation system for the LT4. Your car is a gem 💎 does it still have the factory oil in it? 🤔
@The_Drive_Inside OK, thanks for the info/input. No, I had the 500 mile oil change done. 👍. Depending on how many miles I get on it this summer, I may have them do the diff fluid change, but I will always get the oil change done yearly regardless, since the viscosity can break down over a year. 🙌👍
Did Motion Raceworks explain the technical difference between connecting to valve covers and to the factory PCV valve under the blower (like the Mighty Mouse)?
This is a good video Andrew! I was thinking the same thing. I was trying to find a different catch can and I was wondering why performance shops keep recommending them but on MM site it says they dont recommend them on certain builds. Made in USA is definitely the way to go! The catch can looks like it for LT4 though? 😑
Blu! Yeah they have a LT1 kit too! It’s a bulkier can but it’s easier install and works better. Screw that MM if you need that much pressure relief I’d look into getting a vacuum pump…people have actually seen hp increased from a pump!
@@The_Drive_Inside yeah I have the bare bones mishimoto just to add one but after throwing money in the car, why have a cheap ass catch can lol and it’s a bit(h to remove! Im definitely going to give them a try! I didn’t think you would get a small bump in hp from it
Looks good, I went with the MM can for 1000 hp, same position as yours. One thing you may notice is the hot vapors on your windshield. Kinda freaked me out at first. Couldn’t put it up by the radiator because I got a Cordes expansion tank there.
