The thing about the hoses is pretty simple to fix though. You can get pipe insulation dirt cheap. Wrap it around the hose and ta-da problem solved.

I have a small 200 sq ft room, will the LG LP 1419IVSM be more energy effecient than a 6000 BTU unit in this case?

Videos very helpful in sharing my decision.. Haven't purchased yet plan to in next 24hrs likely.. Still having little bit of hard time swallowing the nearly 700 cost for the top line LG... But it's an investment so getting there. At what price difference though would you consider your #2 the newair model vs the LG.. The newair is about 80-90 cheaper.. Is the LG that best and shoulders better to go with that? The room in cooling is my son's br, it's only couple hundred sqft but it's in a bad spot and always seems hot.. 2nd FL, further from ac unit, in sun more hours, also he has a high end desktop pc that throws good amount of heat and he is a bigger hit board guy.. Lol. So wasn't to make sure I make the right investment. All thoughts welcome! Thanks for all the great info.. Have subscribed! Wish found your channel before reading literally hundreds of reviews and customer comments on other models.

I think getting maximum SACC is worth it. However, if your budget is limited and you're trying to spend as little as possible the NewAir is still a great option.

I’m looking at the Insignia NS-AC08PWH1. 8000 BTU DOE 1200 ASHRAE. $369 sometimes you can get it for under $300. Can you review that?

I can certainly take a look at it when I review more portable ACs in the future. It does appear to be a very good price for a unit that offers 8,000 SACC BTUs.

Idk,Richard because insignia doesn’t tell you how many watts it pulls. All I could find was an earlier model that size used 1500 watts which is terrible compared to the LG models. Now I’m wondering who actually test these numbers? VW type of BS or are the LG models superior?
