I feel like in this day and age, she wouldn't care - all she does is recite nursery rhymes. The rhyme that follows the big reveal would be "I Love Little Pussy".
Susie reminds me of one of my friends. She's just as Asian, too. The thing is, she's a teacher's pet, so she gets gets with drawing anime-ish all throughout class and writing in all caps, Comic Sans, or an ungodly combination of both.
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I had (have?) this tape as a child and I LOVED it. I love the Wee Sing videos in general. Poofer always reminded me of Harry Anderson. I wanted to ride a snow flake and compose horrible poetry for Christmas!
I had been trying to find this movie for years. I had vague memories, but couldn't remember the name of it. Watching this video has to be in one of my top 3 most nostalgic moments, along with the time RedLetterMedia reviewed "Lost in Dinosaur World" and the time I found an LP of "Jungle Train 3D"
My theory is she only speaks in poetry to compensate for some horrific trauma she experienced prior to being adopted. Everyone just rolls with it because if they don't, Suzie becomes an inconsolable screaming mess.
Holy shit, Suzy was signing her little Christmas Tree rhyme! As someone taking a Sign Language class, that's a really cute touch Edit: She signs a whole lot more than just the tree rhyme- Still cute
I'm so glad someone else noticed, i was pretty impressed at the inclusion and it's probably also the reason that she looks adopted, they wanted a child actor who could also do that
@@omikron6218 there is, and sign language lyric renditions of songs as well. Which, I’m not deaf myself but I’ve been told that can communicate a lot about the rhythm and emotion of the track in a way subtitles or a singalong thing don’t, which of course are lacking otherwise if you can’t hear.
Every moment featured in this video is just golden. The dancing, the names, the weird kids that look like little punks but actually want to play Christmas music. How could they have so many well written scenes in this one movie?
Protagnis YT well, they would only need to make them for children. And only Christian/Catholic children. That probably thins out the 5 billion by a fair amount.
Super bummed that no one makes fun of me in this video...guess I needed more lines. Soooo funny though!! I was crying laughing through the whole thing. Well done! - Sarah (aka Nellie Smith)
Sarah Kimmel Just wanted to say that you are appreciated. The Wee Sing tapes were a big part of my childhood and, evern if I don’t remember this special that well (the literal snowmobile stirs up some memories). This was still a funand wholesome special.
This video has crossed generations in my family! We all love MST3K and I convinced my four year old daughter and parents to watch this... now they love you man! Now we can't stop saying, "Glasses! You need glasses!!".... so thanks man 😂
I remember watching this over and over and over when I was little (much to the displeasure of my older siblings). It's easily been 18 years since I last watched this and just seeing the beginning made it all come back to me.
I know this video is ancient by internet standards, but Ian should review the other Wee Sing videos. All of them have at least one puppet segment; most are just as terrifying as those bells.
I gotta tell you man, you made my complete day. I actually laughed, I was having the worst Christmas eve of my life and you managed to put a smile on my face, gotta hand it down to you man. This time of the year is really hard for me, I really appreciate that. Merry Christmas Ian and thanks.
The Best Christmas Ever is one of my vaguest, earliest memories, and I didn't remember anything in particular from it except for the general warm holiday feelings I got from it, so I had no way of knowing where it came from, but I recognized it almost instantly when you played the first clip. Thanks, Brutalmoose. Happy Holidays.
Just rewatched this video for the first time in probably 12 or 13 years last weekend. Everything you said about it was dead on. Susie’s poetry was driving me bonkers.
I can think of a rhyme to follow "Hey Santa don't tell anyone what I'm about to say..." that would nicely complete that particular sexual identity journey...
Oh my God, Ian. I hadn't thought about Wee Sing Christmas in - I shit you not - 23 years. Thanks for the trip down memory lane and the release of some repressed memories! Merry Christmas!
Remember the Arthur episode Big Brother Binky, which was such a big character moment that it needed 22 minutes rather than just 11? Maybe the family flew to China to adopt a baby sister much like the Barneses did in that episode.
I used to watch this every year when I was little omg... I guess when you're a little kid you don't notice how TERRIFYING those bells are. Great video!
Due to timezone differences, it's already Christmas Day morning here. This is the best present I could have asked for. The comment at 5:54 about slam poetry had me in stitches. Thanks Ian! You've made my Christmas!
I usually look at the video's topic and am a little "eh" about it, but it's always lovely to see how consistently funny and great your videos are, Ian! I think your sense of humor is quite particular and unmatched AHAHA Hope you had a great Christmas, and that your New Year is fantastic!
I had Wee Sing Train when I was little and I really loved it. I never saw The Best Christmas Ever and I really laughed at the ten little "angels" part (It might be ripe for a death metal cover). Maybe you could cover all the other Wee Sing VHS titles in the future.
Cathleen Hill Whoa! They STILL have libraries!? As much as I loved them, I stopped going a long time ago. LIke 2 years ago. I'm not Ian, but I think it means SOMEONE wants to check out the tape and keep it away from everyone else, or maybe they don't want whatever evil may lie in that tape to get to other people until they can exorcise it, or maybe they really like the tape, dude, who knows?
I can't believe I remember this. Admittedly, this was one of the Wee Sing videos I saw the least as a kid, but there were certain song clips that always popped up in the previews at the end of the other videos that will NEVER LEAVE MY BRAIN.
I used to watch this all the time (well, every Christmas)in elementary school. It took me years to find it again on RU-vid. I'm glad I'm not the only one to know it existed.
Oh man, this was such a HUGE part of my childhood! No one had ever even heard of this when I'd talk about it, so this was really exciting to watch. I still have the VHS!
Two Mooseman videos in one month? Is this what they call a Christmas miracle? No seriously awesome man, thank you so much for doing this. Love your content and hope you have a very happy and safe holiday!
