Cetus-Lupeedus! Today I'm taking a look at the DCOM classic: Zenon Girl of the 21st Century! www.brutalmoose.com My second channel » / moose2 Support me on Patreon » / brutalmoose Background music provided by Epidemic Sound.
only for those that don't have natural attractiveness.. others have to put on skimpy little outfits. cake their face.. and make things bigger or smaller cause.. well... your just not good enough
by the way, if anyone cares, the Wingdings is just gibberish ("ugwwijvbndmb"), there's no hidden joke. I'm not sure why I expected it to be anything but it wasn't.
I never understood why everyone thought it was like dorky that she came from space. I guess maybe in the future it's weird or something, but i feel like kids would actually think that was cool and want to know everything about it.
They probably could have made Earth humans thinking space humans are dorks work, but the writers would have had to delve deeper than they likely wanted. I know some Sci-Fi stories have it Class-based with Earth-dwelling humans being at the top of the political and social food chain, and the people who have taken to living in space being considered second class citizens. But that'd require refocusing "Zenon" in a VERY different direction than the one it took.
In the movie world, everyone has to be in a strict category and you can't change your caste unless you're the main character. In the real world, you go through so many phases growing up that you have been a little of each category by the time you're an adult. In my childhood, the people that thought science was nerdy were art nerds, or baseball card nerds. No one is a true Chad as it turns out.
I assume it’s similar to if your elementary or middle school teacher stood you up in front of class and announced that you were going to space camp at NASA! It’s seen as a geeky thing to kids.
Guess that's your brain trying to create stuff. Happens all the time when driving, our mind sees a few "images" and our brain puts the rest together. Although now that I've said that, it seems a bit scary.
I totally remember "read my flappin' lips". I remember being a kid thinking "That's a line you've gotta use" and then completely forgetting about it for most of my life. Glad I didn't create another cringey childhood memory
@@VeeHoffman "brendon i dont have health insurance. the common cold could, potentially, end my life. whats your last name. small? you know brendon you have the same initials as bernie sanders. you a communist brendon? i think i am, now " "you dont need to read theory to be a communist, brendon. theory is just a bunch of words some guy wrote once. anyone can read words. communism is like soccer, its all about the practice"
Because of this movie, to this day I randomly have "Zoom, Zoom, Zoom" pop into my head. It has been engraved in my memory and I am 31 years old. That song unbelievably catchy.
Imagine a theme park where each section is a different decades depiction of the far future like a 50s future, 70s future, 90s future and 2010s future. Note i feel like every other decade works a little better as there was always some blure between each decade.
I would go. Tomorrowland in Paris use to be like a Jules Verde version of the future and I always thought that was so cool. Shame it doesn't have that anymore.
1:42 That black kid looks exactly like Waluigi. He has an exquisite style, wearing overalls with a royal purple shirt underneath. He’s already my favorite character. I would not have found him, if not this video had been conceived. Thank you, good sir.
The ironic thing about her not being able to swim is that in some aspects being on a spacewalk is a lot like being in water, to the point where NASA used a swimming pool to train astronauts for the Space Shuttle. If she can go on an EVA just fine, she should be able to swim... though I suppose on an EVA you're usually tethered to the spaceship.
I was OBSESSED with this movie and I used to watch every rerun of it on Disney Channel. And if it was the marathon of all 3 movies back to back, I would religiously lie in my bed for 5 hours to watch all of them.
I was 100% certain Zenon was a television show. This is insane. I never watched it but the look of it and commercials really pushed the "this is a tv show" vibe.
I love the old school filming, very nostalgic! It reminds me of old family films or even exactly what the quality was when I used to watch tv and movies in the 90s. Keep up the awesome work!
4:48 "I particularly like the fashion trend of the spandex base layers with regular clothes on top, this is the future I think we should be working towards". This is why Mega Man Zero and ZX incorporate the exact same style.
Gotta say, I love the way you match your vids with the same vibe as what you're reviewing! It really makes it special and worth watching all the way through ♡ great job man :)
korohacker as a born and raised Ohio state person, snow is neat for about a week and then it’s a pain in the ass. Shoveling, driving, heating bills, scraping your car off. Best experience with it is vacationing in a snowy mountain for a few days and then going home. You’ll have much better memories that way. Plus side: less bugs.
@@KetchupRocket The only good things i can think about winter weather are that there are no bugs and food left in your car stays fresh. That's all. Summer rules.
This movie was on television while I was waiting for the Jiffy Lube guys to change the oil on my truck. The volume was low, and was nearly washed out by the constant hum of the nearby confectionery machines. Time was standing still. Anyway, I wasn't sure it was a real movie until I watched this video. Thanks for the video.
Your videos are severely underrated. You put so much time and effort into editing and I thinks it's amazing. I've watched your videos for a couple years and all of them have such a cool style to them
My parents took me to Colorado for the first time the weekend this movie first aired. It started to snow just before the movie came on. I had never seen snow before. I didn't care. Zenon was on.
I remember all the advertisements for the Zequel playing up the fact that the letter Z was hidden in every scene. I don't remember why that excited me.
The girl they replaced Raven-Symoné with was actually the girl from the movie The Color Of Frienship, which Disney always showed a couple times during Black History Month.
I think Three Dog is there, at least played by someone. I am not joking, the movie is about Piper Dellums, sister of Three Dog VA, who had an White Afrikaans stayed with her.
Same with me. I never watched this movie but I first heard it in kindergarten, some boy kept singing that exact part and dancing around lol. Moose not lying with the 5 year old fans. I was waiting for him to cover the music part!
I remember this movie being inescapable for a portion of my childhood. it was like half the year was reruns and commercials of Zennon and the other half was halloween town
I love your channel, its sad that you don't upload quite often. What you do is really highly appreciated and the effort you put is also phenomenal. Hope to see more frequent uploads in the future ❤
One day during my 9th grade Biology class back in early 2000's, we were talking about Single-celled organisms and my teacher mentioned "Protozoa". A girl in my class let out an audiable gasp and shouted out "ZEDIS LAPEDIS!" She quickly put her hand over her mouth and everybody stared at her. She then had to explain what Zenon was and why Protozoa made her yell that out. That was an interesting day.
@RaineTCG Why is it so hard to believe that this happened. I mean it's not some fantastic story or one where everyone claps at the end when someone says something.
thebigpurplemonkey true but comic sans has the vertical bars on the letter “I” so it gets a pass. Plus who doesn’t love comic sans. My entire resumé is in comic sans
@@kosmic_overlord I think the Clintons might finally be done with politics after Bill's Epstein adventures keep getting revealed more each month it seems.
